Not a very fast airplane arcade scrolling shooter in which you fly on a combat plane and shoot oncoming enemy planes. Quite calm gameplay, allows you to relax and turn down the screen for an hour or two.

Unfortunately I’m not first ;c But anyway the game itself is rather nice. It still could be better but i enjoyed it. After playing for 1h i completed only 4 levels so there is a lot more to do for me ;p (based on the “20 levels” trailer ). I found about this game on reddit when devs posted some test trailer or smth, i was like - “well let’s add this to wishlist it’s not so expensive” and to be honest i don’t regret this (yes i only played 1h as for now but the gameplay is good anyway). When it comes to the Devs studio (“Vainture studio” as they call it ) after some research (visiting their socials xd) i found that’s their first game so :

Battle Command

Battle Command

Before 1990, if you wanted to control an assault tank you either had to sign up to Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, or settle for the basic side-on or top-down computer graphics of the day.

Then there was Battle Command.

The game sees you take command of a futuristic assault tank, dropped by Helicarrier right into the middle of the action on the battlefield. While many other 3D efforts of the time resulted in confusing wireframes or framerates measured in spf instead of fps, Battle Command’s fully-filled polygons were a breath of fresh air… until that air was filled with the acrid smoke from the burning wrecks of enemy buildings and vehicles!

With multiple camera views allowing the player to sit in the belly of the beast or to see the action from a third-person perspective – a real innovation at the time – this much-loved ‘command’ game focused more on outright fighting that the strategic elements of similar titles. Yet it was not all simply ready-aim-fire; the player still has to equip the most suitable ammunition to satisfactorily complete each one of the exciting and varied missions.

According to the original box art:

_Set in the near future of an alternative reality, Battle Command is an arcade/strategy game in which the player controls a single ‘Mauler’ Assault Tank in one of sixteen scenarios in the ultra-war, fought between two dominant races in the New World. The latest phase of this north/south war has been going on for over ten years with a stalemate eventually developing – a stand-off between armies massed over a long dug-in battle front.

Such are the defensive capabilities of each side, full scale assaults are suicidal, so any offensive moves are, by necessity, small behind-the-lines actions performed by elite troops in specially designed vehicles. The Mauler is the latest such machine – capable of being lifted in and out of hostile territory by fast stealth choppers and armed with the most advanced weaponry the northern sides can devise.

First into Battle…

…Last to Leave!_

Iron Front: Digital War Edition

Better then Arma but since the game spy shut down multiplayer is kinda hard to play now. Which was one of the best things on this game. Anyone that has a massive server and group still add me! The games singalplayer can be fun if you know how to make maps. Making a simple map is not that hard at all really. I do like it more then Arma. Deaths arnt so crapy looking. Just look up senarios online or use your imagenation to make a small simple map or a huge lag fest battle and have fun. This gmae should get more credit, but I will say it can be a time consumer when making a nice map. However its pays off most of the time.

King’s Orders

King’s Orders

WHAT IS KING’S ORDERS?

In King’s Orders, you play as a medieval ruler. Your goal is to manage armies and cities on a map of Europe. Give orders by sending letters to your generals and make decisions based on the reports you receive. Re-enact historical events and see how you can change the course of history. Create a dominating empire that shall last for centuries!

MEDIEVAL EUROPE

From the frozen Scandinavia to the deserts of Africa - claim new territories, expand influences and replay unique scenarios. Each of those will challenge you with the most important battles of the middle ages, however, the outcome depends on your actions. Hundred Years' War, Battle of Grunwald, Wars of the Roses - each can be a setting for your plan to achieve total victory. Are you able to create an ultimate strategy that will fulfill your ambitions no matter what?

KING’S STRATEGY

King’s Orders is a game for players who seek a more immersive experience than in most real-time strategies. Communicate with your troops by sending messengers with your letters. Send orders and wait for results. Remember it takes time for your runner to deliver the message and the route is full of dangers. Realism is magnified by the lack of battle preview in real-time. You gain all knowledge of those events from received reports, so that’s all you have to picture the battle and make further decisions.

DIVIDE AND RULE!

Conquer the cities and control key trade routes. Gained gold gives you various opportunities, so spend it wisely. Will you train more troops or focus on fortifying? You decide what kind of ruler you are and how you’re about to manage the economy. Everything comes with consequences. Some unpopular decisions may even end up with a rebellion against you. Take care of your generals’ loyalty and morale, so they will help you to control the people.

PolySquad Review

First of all, I have to mention that the game looks really nice. The map and character designs are good, but they need to improve their weapon designs a bit. Since it is an early access game yet I think it can improve better than many games. Let me talk about the good aspects of gameplay:

- Level System (from 1 to 78): I think it is really important to have a level system in online games. Because the player will try to move himself to a higher level and will play more.

For the first time, I am happy that we have seen a quality game from a Turkish company. To explain the game briefly and briefly, the game can be called a mini battlefield. Although the game is really fun, it would be better if the tanks and helicopters with many players have a slightly higher health. I wish success to the game and the developers.

FlyManMissile

This not complicated game does demand a steady hand with the mouse.

Precision, timing, and anticipation are fundamental here.

Wish it would be Gamepad/Controller compatible (Logitech F310/ X Box style).

Please let us mute or simply turn off the “nursery bedtime music”, before the air horns alarm triggers on.

Time of day options should also be considered someday.

This would permit lower brightness levels, thus less glare and saturation in Flyman view.

All this sitting “comfortably” on the missile.

9th Company: Roots Of Terror

9th Company: Roots Of Terror

I picked up this Russian made RTS game in the Steam sale.

The game is a tactical level RTS that follows the the 9th Company of the 345th OPPD through 9 years of warfare in Afghanistan against the insurgents and yes it is the same 9th Company in the film 9th Company. The game even has clips from the film.

The campaign is good but short and you do a nice variety of missions. The tutorial at the start is comprehensive enough for you to get a quick grasp of the controls.

It also has some nice realistic elements. Soldiers can get injured and can’t fight until attended by a medic and if you’re not fast enough may die from their injuries. You also get off screen support fro missions such as D-30 artillery strikes, rocket artillery and Hind CAS (all of which are extremely deadly) and so on. If you lose your radioman you lose your access to support. For some missions you get armoured vehicles to control and if these get hit you can bail the crews before the vehicle brews up. It’s best to take care of them as they provide a great fire-power advantage over your enemy.

Grab it on a sale.

While the game has a good few bugs (I’ve made a steam guide to help avoid them.) I personally enjoy this RTS, keep in mind that the store-page is inaccurate as the non-linear mission structure/morale system and a few other mechanics were actually cut and (like a good few steam games) the description seems to be out-dated.

What you do get is a linear, generally pretty decent budget RTS with some good ideas brought down by clearly being rushed out the door which is a shame as I really enjoy it, you will have to manage your units ammo for instance by scavenging/sharing ammo between them or you’ll end up having to try using your knife, you will be able to have snipers take out the gunner/driver of a truck so you can take it for yourself and you can call in artillery if the situation’s bad enough, these mechanics all together make for a pretty fun experience and the fact the game is set in the rare setting of the Afghan war and with the Russians as the player faction means this is an obscure RTS that’s pretty fun.

ACE COMBAT™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN

ACE COMBAT™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN

Ace Combat 7 is an amazing game aswell as a good return-to-form for Project Aces. One thing I like the most is the gameplay, no doubt out of all the Ace Combat games I’ve played Skies Unknown has the absolute best. It’s as intense and high-octane as running from a guard dog, the only difference being it’s actually fun. But everything else is sort of lacking, and pales in comparison to the older games. The story is kinda… Meh. I loved the whole suicide-squad-esque story it had going on during the 444 missions, but everything after that started to get kind of dull. The DLC missions are wonderful though, my personal favorite being Anchorhead Raid. The soundtrack is good albeit kind of boring (even Daredevil. They use the Daredevil motif in a bunch of the songs here and it gets boring very quickly. Or well, atleast in my experience), that is except Magic Spear! Magic Spear is absolutely amazing and I love it with all my heart.

It’s a great game for anyone interested in Fighter Jets. Note: THIS IS NOT A SIMULATOR.

I’ve had plenty of fun flying around in a jet, taking out enemies left and right, it also has an interesting story, that is not at all confusing if you knowledge of the timeline prior to this.

The music is also amazing.

Multiplayer is kinda dead though with only two modes.
