Afghanistan ‘11
Let me start by saying this is my first review. Why am i choosing this game for my first review? Because I, like many of you reading this, always look at reviews before buying a game, especially the negative ones to see what the postive reviews are ignoring. This is my first review because, very honestly, I believe most of the “most convincing” negative reviews for this game are wrong and can be ignored.
1. “Tedious and boring”
AKA: not your type of game. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it a bad game. It is a turn-based resource management/micromanagement/strategy game. Most people think those are boring. I don’t. That’s why this game interested me. Let’s move on.

Highly recommended.
TLDR; Follow-up to Vietnam ‘65, easy-to-learn controls and layout, but requires some very keen operational executions to succeed. More solid than its prequel, and more helpful towards new players as well.
A sequel to Vietnam ‘65, this game has the same core mechanics, and will be familiar to those who has played the prequel. For those new, there’s 4 excellent tutorial missions that will teach you those core mechanics, and will do so while actually playing scenarios. Still, while Vietnam ‘65 really felt like a tablet port, this game feels much more like a PC game.

Recon Control
Tactical Step-by-step shooter. The main feature, which is the whole essence of the game, is 2D graphic - reminds me my childhood, those games, flashbacks))
So - here are big variety. Maps, missions (25 missions, 3 campaigns), tasks, developers did a really good job. Moreover, there are many types of guns, armor, equipment, different items. It is a very important point which I figure out while playing any game, coz when developers of each game don’t respect the player, their users: they create only 1-3 guns using which u have to spend all time passing the game - so it becomes rlly boring ;( But, in “Recon Control” it’s +REP ofc☆

This is great tactical gem.
Familiar gameplay of a tactical turn based combat with standard classes (sniper, heavy, shotgun, rifle), but everything is done just right. Visuals, variety, enemies, abilities, items - all is very good. Although the game is not long, this is a ton of fun as a more simple but very polished approach while you are waiting for a big title.

太平洋之嵐6 ~ 史上最大的激戰諾曼第攻防戰! Pacific Storm 6 - Battle for Normandy
Only Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and Japanese support, as far as I can tell. No English, despite what the Steam page says. Too bad, I was very disappointed.
While I was playing around for the required 5 minutes to submit a review, I chose the Japanese option for language, as I can at least recognize some of the characters. The voiceover text seemed to be in Japanese, and as far as I can tell most of the interface remained in Japanese as well. However, it looks like the unit description (?) page is only Chinese text . I could be mistaken.

No Plan B: Prologue
“When your army has crossed the border, you should burn your boats and bridges, in order to make it clear to everybody that you have no hankering after home.“Sun Tzu.
.
.
With that in Mind. This game teaches you to lay it all on the LINE when wagering your plan of execution against the enemy.
.
“NO BACKSIES”. you can drill and rehearse over and over fine tuning your approach on an occupied structure but eventually you must execute the plan. At which point you can not change it. Failure is constant success is scarce in this game but the more you play the more aware you become in the strategic head space.

This is an excellent game and a surprisingly playable demo. If you liked games like Door Kickers, Breach&Clear, Frozen Synapse you will definitely enjoy this one.
PROS
-
Excellent timeline system. It eliminates the most frustrating part of Door Kickers: the hassle around syncing operator movement. In No Plan B you can easily ensure that everyone enters into the new room in the perfect moment.
-
Active, responsive developer.
-
Daily, weekly and monthly challenges sneak in a little competitiveness.

Aggressors: Ancient Rome
This review is actually a Thank you letter to the developer for making this game.

I think it was 25 years ago that most of my school holiday time was used to do what I really like. Gaming. But I did not had my first PC yet, so gaming was spending one day in the city to collect all kind of painting materials and paperboards to create the ultimate game myself.
The Civilization boardgame, HeroQuest boardgame and some rare tabletop games I owned served as an example. But mine had a bigger boards, more options, more counters and features, more of everything actually.

Aggressors - Ancient Rome
This obscure historical game is turn based strategy / tactics to dominate the world starting in 280 BC by default, but adustable from 1000 BC to 500 AD. It is single player and is my personal choice for game of the year. I have played it for over 480 hours in the past 60 days. It is published by Slitherine and available through them, on Steam and GOG.

BLACK DAY
8.5/10. BLACK DAY .. to buy or not to buy. Well here’s the deal.
If you have been frustrated by the lack of good tactical and infiltration games then this should already be in your library.
Reminds me of classic tactical games when they used to make them good.
This game features really well thought out maps. Sandbox customization. Diverse hostiles from human opponents to futuristic robots and everything in between and there’s more to come.
What i really enjoy about this game is the fact that it totally Lets the player decide how he wants to play. There’s no right or wrong way. Take the easy or Hard Way or if you think you can handle it Hardcore all the way.

Are you a fan of tactical infantry/special forces combat games such as the great Ghost Recon series? Do you enjoy game series such as Metal Gear and Splinter Cell ?
How would you like a DEEP TACTICAL SANDBOX experience that comes with x21 thoughtfully created maps for you to play with; a majority of which are just ENORMOUS in size and are BEAUTIFUL to see?
Altogether, Black Day generously gives us:
…x3 gamemodes
…x21 terrific maps (with time-of-day and weather variables!)

Close Combat: The Bloody First
Do I recommend this game? Yes, If your looking for a classic close combat game.
However, I still have to bring up the fact that this game still feels pretty bare bones. After playing through the entire campaign with the US, I tried to play a campaign as the Germans. And, well, I know its a game about the American division and the fighting it encountered, but if you’re going to include the ability to play a German Campaign then you should be at least pretending that the same unit was fighting the whole time.

I really wanted to like this game, i may in the future if the game breaking issues are fixed but for now I would Stay away from this game. I ignored the fact that the graphics look terrible for 2019-2020 thinking i was going to get the classic feel of cc with the detailed platoon and company creation and in depth map navigation giving it a realistic feel during combat and in some cases they did do well with keeping those aspects in the game but the game itself is so bugged and poorly optimized that its design ruins almost all of my game attempts, i was able to complete the grand campaign with few bugs that caused me to restart the game but when going back through and playing the Italian campaign and again on the African campaign I ran into such terrible problems that I felt I had to say something, for one the AI is terrible, LOS fails to spot enemy literally 3 feet away, troops fail to load or fire at all when given fire orders, or will just wander out into the open and get shot, or fail to find cover when ordered to do so, troops will run up to enemy tanks when they get close and throw grenades at point blank range killing themselves without orders. The bazookas, mortars, all artillery, and air support accuracy is a complete joke and honestly feels like a complete roll of the dice when using them. Enemy tanks can glitch into each other creating impervious bunkers that your troops just fail to comprehend when it happens and kills almost anyone who gets near them, HQ teams do not feel like they give any kind of bonus, vehicles and troops navigate terrain terribly and cause you to click on multiple locations before they stop saying, “no clear path”. Some missions would end with me taking all objectives and breaking enemy morale and even though that should progress you to the next mission I ended up being forced to repeat them. Also, after experiencing these issues, if you choose to quit a game you will be greeted by chicken sounds, I guess the devs thought that would be funny but with the experiences I had with this game that little addition just makes me dislike this unfinished product even more. This game was never worth 40 bucks, it feels like an upgraded version of sudden strike 3 and i cant even remember how old that game is… I would say $20 is even too much for this game in its current state, that said, i still hope the devs stick with it and fix its issues because it is a game that has great potential but as a consumer I just dont advise others to buy this game right now but would say to check back some time later.

No Plan B
Very fun game as is but needs a few tweaks.
1. Toggle movement options like sync and isolate. You have to put your hands in weird angles sometimes and if your hand comes off it ends that option.
2. Slightly higher angle of view on doorways. Sometimes enemies hide in the smallest angle that a human would otherwise see. Also a better turning system. It’s weird when the characters stop to turn instead of turning as they walk.
3. Clearer stats for weapons (like how often they shoot) and more variety of weapons

Honest to say,is not a perfect game,but it’s good.
By the way,I have some suggestions for you, hope you can see this.
I think the control of planning can be greater than now, sometimes i would delete my schedule by mistaking click.
Meanwhile,I am a Chinese Player,I think “Skirmish Mission” should called “突袭任务“ instead of “冲突任务”.
Similarly, inside the game,SWAT and FBI’s full name looks like their description not their name, maybe you can make this translation better.
And i see some review that compare No Plan B to Doorkickers. In my opinion, both are good game, and to be honest, actually DK is better than this. But at the same time, these two are different at some points. No Plan B could only have one go (Like DK’s single plan medal but it’s mandatory) ,so you must plan carefully before execute.and the preview is amazing, that’s a thing that Doorkickers cannot do,it’s really helpful for squads to moving at the same time(better than DK’s “ABCD” action command signal)

Inbound UFO
This game is brilliant! Many cool new things that made me spend a lot of time ingame. I usually don’t write reviews but as a tower defense fan and not finding enough reviews on this one, I had to say that it really brings some novelty on the genre (I had to re-think all my strategies learned in other TDs).
I like how the enemy is fighting with me, they struggle to bring my towers down :D, very nice animations and there is something interesting and addictive with the AI that I can’t pinpoint exactly.

Starship Troopers - Terran Command
Starship Troopers - Terran Command is a thrilling real-time strategy game set in the Starship Troopers movies universe. Take command of the Mobile Infantry and do your part in the war against the Arachnid threat. Build, develop and control your armies to strike an effective balance between tactical superiority and strength in numbers. Ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates the galaxy now and always!
Story Campaign
The population of the harsh desert planet Kwalasha needs our help. Their daily lives of hard work in the mining industries has been disturbed by a new danger that they cannot face alone: the Arachnid.
The Mobile Infantry will swiftly move in, take back control over the planet and smash everything that has more than two legs. Take part of this exciting military campaign, meet unique characters, see amazing locations and experience the heroic war against the Bug - all presented live on FED NET!
Tactics & Numbers
While the Arachnids can rely on virtually limitless numbers, the Mobile Infantry must develop effective tactics to overcome this imbalance. Deploy your units at strategic locations to cover vital choke points and gain superior firepower through tactical use of elevation levels. Be wary, however, that battle mechanics such as True Line of Sight and True Line of Fire also allow Bugs to lay ambushes around every corner, as they are well known for their use of surprise attacks and deception.
Units & Abilities
An expansive range of unique units, weapons, and special abilities are at the disposal of M.I. commanders. Infantry squads armed with Morita Assault Rifles and MX-90 Fragmentation Grenades form the mainstay of your forces. Rocket Troopers deliver deadly payloads with pin-point accuracy while Engineers are vital to shore up defensive positions with MG turrets, barricades, and minefields. As a campaign progresses, technological breakthroughs unlock the true potential of the Federation’s arsenal with E-Pulse rifles, TAC Fighter airstrikes, heavily armed Marauder mechs, and many more developments optimized for spraying Bug ichor across the battlefield.
