Afghanistan ‘11
Let me start by saying this is my first review. Why am i choosing this game for my first review? Because I, like many of you reading this, always look at reviews before buying a game, especially the negative ones to see what the postive reviews are ignoring. This is my first review because, very honestly, I believe most of the “most convincing” negative reviews for this game are wrong and can be ignored.
1. “Tedious and boring”
AKA: not your type of game. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it a bad game. It is a turn-based resource management/micromanagement/strategy game. Most people think those are boring. I don’t. That’s why this game interested me. Let’s move on.

Highly recommended.
TLDR; Follow-up to Vietnam ‘65, easy-to-learn controls and layout, but requires some very keen operational executions to succeed. More solid than its prequel, and more helpful towards new players as well.
A sequel to Vietnam ‘65, this game has the same core mechanics, and will be familiar to those who has played the prequel. For those new, there’s 4 excellent tutorial missions that will teach you those core mechanics, and will do so while actually playing scenarios. Still, while Vietnam ‘65 really felt like a tablet port, this game feels much more like a PC game.

Air Combat XF
The game itself was gifted to me as a prank. Tried to get all the achievements and got stuck because of a glitch. Reported it and it got fixed. Love seeing such an activity form the dev’s side.
The game itself is quite short but to be honest - it hade some challenging moments which I liked. Worth getting this as a prank, had some fun for a while.

It’s pure adrenaline fun. If you ever wanted to just jump in and shoot stuff, this is it. Minimal mission briefing is all you get as background story unlike the demo for their latest iteration called Massive Air Combat; that one has a pretty nice cutscene and you get to fly a heavier aircraft but since it’s a demo we get to see only one in the 1 mission in the demo.
Considering that it costs me only about 0.6 SGD, it’s a pretty good bang for the buck, pardon the pun. So, it is an arcade flight game and the good thing is; it doesn’t go overboard with the arcade freedom of latitude. Since version 2.2 there were some physics restrictions introduced and gameplay tweaks which makes the game a bit closer to reality and a bit tougher. There is no difficulty setting but if you want an easier time, maybe version 1.0 is the way to go. You can opt for that in the Beta version of the game in the Steam UI.

there are bugs and the game seems is already dead
Summary: Play as a general and command your waifu army to defeat enemies in this STG war game. Win the battle and get new members for the army (cards), increase level, plan your battles. Features good artwork.
About:
- Game/ story: Angels on Tanks as the name suggests, there are angels/ waifus on tanks and your army, as a general (unnamed, and undefined sex), plan your battles and command your troops for the victory. It seems it is only STG, without romance, h content, but is still early access, I hope will be added later, otherwise is a waste.

A-Gents
Really liked this game. It’s been quite a while waiting for the devs to release the last 2 stages, but I’m glad it has finally happened.
If you grew up playing Atari or the original NES, then you’ll probably like this game. Otherwise you’ll probably think the game is too hard, with graphics that make you dismiss it before trying it. That said, the two new stages (5 & 6) are quite a bit harder than the game had been when it only had four stages.
The new stages add an additional controller mapping that brings new functionality to the game. You can now snipe, lay dynamite charges, call air strikes, in addition to your usual controls. Enhancing the original controls are new weapons, most notably a flame thrower, which is great fun and powerful.

Introduction
A-Gents is a pixelated shooting game reminiscent of Metal Slug. At the time I write this, you have the choice of playing one of two characters, Emma or Shean, who play the same. There isn’t too much of a story to the game, though each level has their own objective that offers some bit of a story if you’re interested. The game currently only has two episodes with five levels each but more are promised to come.
Gameplay
You can play the game with either a game controller or your keyboard and mouse. You can also play alone or with a friend locally. The game is pretty simple, you walk around and shoot down enemies and objects while clearing mission objectives and making it to the end of a level. There are a variety of guns to be used, or you can use a knife. You also have grenades which I found extremely useful as well dynamite to do heavy duty damage. A noted feature is that you can aim your gun 360 degrees, apparently before this update you could only aim in four directions though I haven’t played it that way.

VIETNAM WAR PLATOON 越战排 (AI WAR Game)
Game Features:
This game is a new concept card and flag game with the theme of Vietnam War. It is a light snack game prepared for the leisure transition of players who are tired of playing large-scale games like me and hand injured players.
AI liberates the hands of players, players no longer need to repeat to complete the mechanical labor and tired operation, just need to observe the battle situation. You can experience the unpredictable battlefield situation and leisure war without hands operation
Arma Tactics
Arma Tactics was a mobile game backported to PC, and somehow it is extremely buggy with rage-quit worthy frustrations despite a decent tactical game under the whole thing. it cannot be recommended until the bugs are fixed.
Arma Tactics is a turn-based tactical combat game where you command your fireteam of soldiers in combat against terrorists and guerillas and mercenaries in some generic African country full of slums and such. There are two campaigns (each of which are composed of 5 distinct missions, albeit linked) and once you’ve played through the mission once, it becomes available as a quick battle.

The turn-based tactical game about a squad of 4 shooters, engaging in some minor conflicts across the world. It wears an “Arma” name, for it was made by the same Bohemia studio, which shipped the whole “Arma” games series. As it turns out, in the end, it becomes something like an unwanted child, which is not deserving to be left behind but appears as a burden to its creators and developers…
I was very surprised when finding that game already in my library while I was searching through Steam for something like “Jagged Alliance”. I can swear I neither heard about that game before nor that I planned to buy it. I guess it was one of those bundles, where I was totally distracted by one desired game, and others were bought “just because”. Anyway, the Steam search machine finally highlighted me that addition in my collection, and I decided to investigate.

Command & Control 3
PROS:
-
nice concept
-
easy to learn, hard to master
-
units + offmap support
-
team change during the game, so you can react quickly
-
sounds
-
fair price
CONS:
-
infantry squads die too fast
-
pathfinding for vehicles - tragedy, they are turning 100x during a few seconds
-
unbalanced, for example cruiser missile have not enough dmg and big reload time
-
undestructable buldings
-
only a few units
-
only 2 factions
-
both factions have same units
Should be developed:
-
PvE
-
PvP
-
some units should have map limit, on some maps its only tanks spam

The game concept is really cool, even with a simplistic look, the sound design is engaging, the slowness of the units and the progress is pretty boring, the fact that you point to locations and you can’t have a precise idea of positioning like in company-style games of heroes leaves a little to be desired, the units also don’t have bonuses for the type of physical training, I believe that only for the type that it is ie if it’s just a grenadier or if this or that… the concept of as if it were a general commander it was really cool…so far I missed aircraft like the black hawk doing circular flights protecting areas with the machine gun…the buildings don’t have physics and also don’t give the immersion of soldiers ambushing or taking cover efficiently.

Death Trader: Cold War
This game was great! It was super fun and im suprised its not more laggy and gltchy than it is, i was sceptical buying it but im glad i did, lots of fun, you need to fix a few bugs but i loved it otherwise and suggest you buy it! One thing I would like to see is things like being able to change the time you start like 1960, 62’, 65, etc. I would also like to see more weapons from more country’s, I would like a variety in this game.

The game has a few kinks but the dev(s?) have been quick to patch. It is worthwhile, especially on sale. I’ve not been able to get more than 2 years into the 30 that the game has due to bugs but I’ve gotten a lot of fun out of it.
Nov 8
I can now play 15 out of the 30 years of the game before it crashes or becomes unplayable. The majority of the early bugs are gone, the gameplay is more user friendly with a better ui/tooltip, was a fun game before but it’s even better now. The devs may have released it prematurely, even as early access, but it’s been rapidly improved.

Falling Stars: War of Empires
After playing this game for over 18+ hours I want to thank my clan buddy DAVA3 for turning me on to the game. I was passing on this one from the early reviews. I think the early reviews got this game wrong. People really need to play the game before they write a review. The fact they allow us to download and play the game before we purchase should be pointed out and says a lot to me. This is a great 4X strategy game that I can play without a life comment.
Things I didn’t like was the inital price, at $40.00 it was to high. The new price of $20.00 makes it more then worth the purchase price. I must say its the first time I have really see a designer listen to the public. I read that some feel this game is like Fantasy Flight’s Twilight Imperium board game but I do not think it a clone. I play the board game a bit and its more different then the same to me. For one you have more fleet ship types and options. Over all the game strategy is different and I mean that in a good way.

Comparing this casual, relatively simple game to ‘Star Ruler 2’ and ‘Stellaris’ is very unfair. The latter two are very complex, longer-to-play games. The designers of ‘Falling Stars’ never intended and advertised it as such. They conceived and promoted a simple, casual game which is easy to learn and easy to complete under an hour of time.
The problem of the lack of information concerning “carriers” (which transport ground troops or fighters) has been adressed on the game’s Steam forum, and it has been promised to be resolved in a patch, soon.
