Grunt1914
If you grew up playing Medal of Honor and other similar games on Play Station 1, this game will certainly take you right back to those golden days.
It is still in early stages so a few glitches and future changes are to be expected. Over all the game is fun, the shooting is done well although here and there, there are some of the terrain issues interfering with the shooting. But I’m sure that it will get sorted out in future patches.
The movement is fun, kind off like a mixture between most other major FPS games like the older CoD’s and MoH’s, and games like the original Quake games and similar other games. Again, a few minor terrain interferences and some of the enemy movements and animations can be improved, but nothing major and of course I’m sure they will be sorted out as future patches comes out.

I stopped playing FPS games around the time Battlefield 4 became really big. It got too intense! The maps got too big and there were too many players in every match. You can’t spawn without being F*%#ed by a tank or chopper… I missed the simpler times of fast “Arena” based FPS games like the older call of duty’s. That’s exactly what GRUNT1914 is! The maps are small but big enough to snipe in and although some of them are still a bit buggy, they feel fast and smooth. The guns seems to be accurately modeled after real guns from this era, however the sounds of some of the guns can still improve!

Tactical Combat Department
Definitely recommend this game. As many have said, it takes inspiration from games like SWAT, Doorkickers and Xcom. What I find most unique is the shooting system that doesn’t work on a % chance based on stats (like most turn based games). Instead it randomises where the bullets go based on the weapon and experience of the shooter. Think doorkickers in this aspect, meaning you may hit something between you and the target, or even hit something behind them. The unique part comes in this being a turn based game using that system. I personally haven’t seen something like that before.

Good game! It’s an innovative tactical game with Swat theme in turn based design. You can work with 5 members in your team. In this game is interesting weapon fire system. It’s based on skills of your member and accuracy of weapons. But projectiles fly from weapons, you can hit other civilians or your team member. This is good!
Price is very friendly and fair! Recommended!
If you like Doorkickers and you want to play another Doorkicker’s game, play Doorkickers. If you want to play xcom or big turn based strategy with base building play Xcom, Xenonauts etc. But if you want to play something new and interesting, play this small but interesting game.

Brutal Fate
Brutal Fate is a fast-paced ultra-violent retro first-person shooter inspired by 80’s and 90’s sci-fi movies. As a marine from the Global Order Alliance sent to Callisto to take over the local corporate government, you find yourself surrounded by legions of demonic alien invaders and you must fight for your survival.
It blends the best features of classic shooters such as non-linear level design, a huge arsenal and large enemy variety with some modern aspects, making it a unique mix that does not try to hang on nostalgia, but be something of it’s own.
This game is a finely crafted first-person experience designed to be the most satisfying and detailed possible. Enemies that can be dismembered and exploded into pieces, destroyable environments including lamps, cars and even trees. All many details that makes you really feel like you are in a real living world.
Do you want to know more?
-
This game features a huge arsenal of weapons that may require the use of all your keyboard numbers to scroll through. We got battle rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, smart missiles, laser rifles, you name it.
-
Immerse yourself in a 3 episode campaign, with branching patches, multiple endings, and a story full of twists.
-
Fight an entire circus of monstrosities, carnivorous demons, zombie-like cultists, shuffling supernatural incomprehensible abominations from beyond, and corporate henchmen that want to make sure you won’t leave this haunted colony alive after seeing everything you just did. Just like in classic fps style, each enemy type acts like a piece of chess made to compensate the weakness of another. Gib them into delicious meat pieces, burn them to ashes, almost every enemy features locational damage and dozens of death animations, including different deaths for different weapons used.
-
Explore huge non-linear levels, look for secrets to find special rare alternative ammo types for your weapons, health and armor upgrades, and much more. No “procedural generated levels”, no faux-retro arena level design, just handcrafted levels by someone with over 10 years of experience in classic game level design. Get the feeling of exploring believable highly interactive locations, fight enemies in many different scenarios, scripted or not, pick them alone or in small groups and sometimes try to come up with a strategy to fight up to 50 enemies at once.
-
Command your fellow marines out of this hell. Your character’s rank as a Staff Sergeant isn’t only for show. Find any survivors of this disastrous operation and they will follow you. They have an acceptable AI that will actually follow your commands, won’t block your movement, and will kill enemies for you. Magnificent, isn’t it?
-
Mod it until it breaks. Running on the highly reliable GZDoom engine, this game is extremely easy to be modified. You can make mods, add custom weapons, enemies, levels, and entire new user-made campaigns.
Plot
In the end of the 21th century, after a catastrophic nuclear war followed by a famine that wiped out half of Earth, the remaining governments united their military under the same banner in a vow to prevent another disaster, and so the Global Order Alliance was born.
Later the G.O.A. united with corporations in an effort to terraform and colonize other planets in the solar system, by using a method that allowed artificial black holes to be created at the center of the planets to imitate Earth’s gravity. 60 years later when the terraforming of Mars and Jupiter’s moons were completed and mass migration started, the corporations betrayed the Terran governments and decided to declare independency and not use their newfound resources to help Earth get back on it’s feet. Their moto was “We terraformed these planets and now everything on them belongs to us. If you want these resources, come and take it."
Betrayed and left for dead, the peoples from all around the world vowed to invade the colonies and take back what belongs to Earth. The armies of the G.O.A. which were once considered heroes and peacekeepers of mankind, became a violent, fanatic, imperialistic military legion. They launched military campaigns against Mars and Io that lasted for decades. Now the year is 2297 and the people of Callisto started rebelling against the corporate rule due to recent strange phenomena caused by the planet’s artificial black hole, all the interplanetary communications are shut down by the regime, and the G.O.A. sees this as a perfect opportunity to invade the planet and “liberate” it with the local population’s support. The corporate conglomerates warns that the situation in Callisto is “complicated” and warns Earth to stay away from it.
You are part of a special international battalion of the Space Division of the G.O.A. Marine Corps sent to intermediate the situation. After a four month journey, you arrive at the planet with orders to destroy the corporate government forces and secure their industrial facilities. Drone scans shows literally hundreds of thousands of dead bodies littering the streets, apparently they genocided the local populace which saves you from the work of having to watch your targets… Your orders are clear: Descend into the planet with companies of battle-hardened Marines, combat androids, tanks, mechs, gunships and orbital artillery, and eliminate any colonial military forces you may find. They are considered dangerous irregular war criminals and you have no legal requirement to grant them any human rights, engage on contact. All weapons are clear… Exterminate with extreme prejudice, just the way the Marines likes to operate.
The Marines quickly find out that something is wrong. The planet is dead. Non-combatants and colonial guard alike were slaughtered, women and children included. No signs that a war happened here, some bodies defiled in unspeakable macabre religious rituals.
You realize that what killed these people weren’t humans, it weren’t using guns, and it’s still here. An unfathomable evil from beyond lurks these dead streets, its hungry eyes are gazing upon you. Do you have what it takes to survive?

Invasion Machine
This game has great potential, but only if it is supported, hence my ‘recommended’ review. Considering this is the work of a single developer it is very impressive!
At the time of writing last edited (Jan 2021), it’s a fun sandbox, missing a campaign, but the core elements are great.
Combat feels very well designed, with troops accuracy varying with movement and stress, and their survivability varying with cover and position. Troops will retreat or flee, seek cover and find their own lines of sight to enemies, which is great, but at this stage in development, the AI is just not able to babysit them effectively. This game expects you to micromanage your troops in contact to avoid them going splat too easily. There are locals that require aid and an interpreter to speak with and you can even call in an attack run from an A10. Brrrrrrt!

Don’t normally leave reviews, but this game merits mention.
Invasion Machine is a realistic strategy-tactical game set in an unnamed middle-eastern country after the invasion is complete. With outdated gear (though advanced compared to the insurgents you face) and few men initially, you have to begin the process of stabilising your little patch of desert, by suppressing the insurgency and military remnants and growing support for your movement through social projects and aid distribution. Against you, an insurgency seeks to keep the support of the local populace and eventually force you out of the region, and command is breathing down your neck to stabilise the region.

LEFT ALIVE™
OK so why would i recommend this well, although left alive is full of issues and by no means is a good game is worth trying.
so lets start by stating what may be obvious to anyone reading the extensive, extensive….extensive amount of negative reviews.
As a stealth survivor game it is quite terrible, the lack of options for stealth kills shows it makes it impossible to complete even one part of a mission without being detected.
It also suffers from having a very limited selection of weapons. don’t expect to be surprise. The AI is terrible as well.

tl;dr Front Mission’s final nail in the coffin. Less so Front Mission, and more so a downgrade of MGSV/MGSurive to PS2 bootleg standards.
The game has barely any Front Mission identity. Sure you get various countries and other terms dropped here and there but outside of that this game is a MGS ripoff, trying as hard as possible to rip off various stealth concepts and survival-crafting concepts from MGSV and MGSurvive. The game’s story too tries hard to lecture you about war in some attempt to be MGS.

Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite
I love this game! In literally seconds you open the game and your playing. It’s a nice break from all the over complicated laden crafting and customization. This is good old fashion classic game play. Holding objectives, sneaking to steel progressive spawn points (PSP). Good multiplayer fun with people who respect the game. I’ve already made many new friends, all very friendly, and fun to hang out with.
Take a break from the commercial cliche of modern gaming and cheating, and join a fun game where skill actually applies. And you won’t need a million dollar RGB rainbow computer to play it.

UPDATE: Unfortunately it is just another washed up FPS with a toxic community and a lot of bloated ego and wasted potential. They are making a map maker, but it still isn’t released as of this post.
The game could be good, but the dev team is just not technically savvy nor user-friendly. They don’t want to talk to the average player, only those whom they “approve” of. They seem to have a “I’m better than you, you’re below me” Mentality (that is what generates the toxicity in the community). It seems that it is a struggle for them to develop this game. They play favorites and create cliques within their own community. They also turn down some advice for the game and take them as personal offenses (so they yell at you for making recommendations, or if they do like one of your ideas, they don’t remember your name and that it was you nor do they give you any credit!). I don’t play this game because it isn’t any fun due to the reasons explained above. The ballistics are mediocre, they don’t want to add more weapons and they don’t want to listen to what the players want. FPS is an over-done genre and I’m finished with it. It isn’t fun anymore.

Great game. 8/10 at least.
EDIT: The game no longer costs $10, it’s still worth it though!
Should you buy it?:
This game was one of the main reasons I bought a VR headset, I am not disappointed. The player counts are amazing at all times of day, you’ll have no trouble finding a game. I have a GTX 1060, but this game can POTENTIALLY run on as low as a GTX 950, so don’t worry. The control scheme is easy to grasp and since I set my height correctly I don’t get motion sickeness from smooth turn/run. The firearms function accurately, but I can’t say as to a realistic feel. (I’ve never shot a gun) The graphics are good for a game with a small dev team that is working on VR, nothing to write home about but they do feel CSGO-like. The game is $10, I got it on sale for $5. If you have VR already, get it.

Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943
Ok, I curently have 124.5 hours. I was actually beta testing. So with that in mind I am also baised on all thing gravi. Call me fan boy, whatever. I am also a history nerd, combat vet, 3d model and texture guy. Now I mention these as all pertain to this game and series.
This is a real time historcial WAR GAME. As in things like historical battles (Sidi Bou Zid here), moral, communication lines, supply lines, legit vehicle penetration, shell performance, wind, weather, time of day, you know that stuff. Not RTS life bar arcade silliness. I like that too, but not here. This is a Graviteam Tactics:Muis front derived game. Some mild improvements here and there that honestly most will not notice. 2x once those get patched into Muis. Like infantry can no longer “bounce” over barbed wire fences. They have to go around. Little things like that.

A New Wargame Experience
Preface
Let me begin with a note of gratitude to the developer/publisher of this wargame series in which I too have a love/hate relationship from the beginning of its inception with Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 through Operation Star, Mius Front and now Tunisia 1943. Despite the good/bad AI experience that many legitimately claim, let me also state my personal opinion concerning the series in general of what I believe is the best simulation experience in its genre: Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943.

Alien Removal Division
Alien Removal Division is a fast paced, action-packed first-person shooter, set in a military research facility during the 1950s. The base has been overrun by aliens and you find yourself, as the only survivor, at the centre of the invasion. Your escape will be challenging, but you’ll have an array of weapons and movement abilities to help you during your fight and on your getaway.
Escape the secret military base
Use your parkour skillset to wallrun, double jump and dash and make your way through the alien infested tunnels, hangars, storage rooms and secret laboratories that make up the military base.
Gruesomely Gratifying Combat
Engage in gory combat and discover the different options to destroy your enemies. Use your movement skills to stay agile against the aliens, fighting back using an arsenal of high-powered weapons that reward their unique purpose.
Massive Aliens
The aliens you’ll encounter vary from smaller insect like crawlers to massive creatures that can only be taken down by targeting their weak spots and dismembering them. Use your parkour movement to avoid their attacks and traverse the massive creatures themselves to exploit their weaknesses and tear them apart piece by piece!
