Druid

Druid

Druid is an enjoyable puzzle quest. You play as a Druid who goes to a magical forest. He wants to find a mentor and become wiser. It is very difficult to find the right path in the forest: there are many ravines, reservoirs, impassable thickets. To get into inaccessible areas, the Druid needs to learn new abilities that are activated using magic runes. They can be obtained by helping animals in the forest. Runes can be combined.

Nice graphics, unobtrusive background music. The game is worth the money. I highly recommend it for playing with children. Although it’s hard to find the right path without a forest map.

This is like a ‘metroid-vania’ game but instead of action-adventure, we have some light puzzle elements.

To put it another way, it is like if you replaced a point&click adventure game’s mechanics with the ‘HM moves’ that you use in Pokemon to open up new areas of the overworld map.

You are a druid seeking enlightenment in the forest, and you slowly gather a series of magical runes that let you interact with the environment, or take on animal form, to conveniently get past oddly specific obstacles you find in the forest.

The Witch & The 66 Mushrooms

The Witch & The 66 Mushrooms

This is a cute short metroidvania with a lot of fairy tale influence in the story and bosses. The world is pretty small, but it’s dense with upgrades and collectibles, so it feels a bit larger than it otherwise would.

You start with a double jump, and a healing ability (check your pause menu for more information). The metroidvania locks are various weapons which can destroy certain crystals and unlock passages, a few items that open up more of the map, a cat form that lets you go into narrow passages, and gems/orbs late game that open the way into the final area.

As the first game i ever played developed on this Pixel Game Maker MV software, i got to say, it’s pretty ambitious to develop a small sized metroidvania title, but even then it has its shortcomings, particularly small things than end up mattering on the whole gameplay experience, for starters, while the controllers seem decent enough, there’s some minor decisions like running while holding the attack button as if this was a game developed for a game system with very few buttons, when in reality you could easily fix this by making just tapping the same direction twice like Castlevania Circle of The Moon, furthermore, the difference in movement and speed between walking and dashing could be a bit more notorious.

Edit #2: Dev listened to the complaints about the double tap dash being an issue. Thats worth more than money in my book. No reason to not play this game now. Buy it. Play it. Love it.

-end of edit #2-

Great game. Obviously reminiscent of Megaman. Music is great. Love collecting upgrades and exploring.

GET RID OF DOUBLE TAP DASH YOU CLOWNS!!

Reasons:

1. Whoever actually uses double tap dash instead of the designated dash button in ANY game that has such is a moron.

2. Maybe my fingers move quicker than the average person, however, when I want to make a very small movement so I can better time my next jump over the wall of spikes that will obviously kill me I DONT WANT TO FUCKING DASH INTO THE SPIKES AND DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH.

The Forestale

The Forestale

The Forestale is a fun platformer with bright juicy graphics and skillfully crafted levels. Starting to play it, I got very carried away for several days. The game deserves attention, although it is not a masterpiece, since there are flaws in it too. I will list the main advantages and disadvantages.

ADVANTAGES:

1. The levels in the game are non-linear, and, in addition to enemies, there are many traps and obstacles. The author has definitely managed to create an interesting gameplay.

2. The main thing: you want to explore all the levels, and each of them contains secret places with prizes. Finding some of the bonuses was very happy, because they pump up the hero well.

YES, THIS IS REALLY A RETRO PLATFORMER!

So retro that it makes me remember my childhood when I played my console…. Т_Т

I think it should be noted that the controllingis difficult to get used to, because of this I often died (it’s good that the checkpoints are nearby).

this game will help you get nostalgic for a couple of nights.
