Demoniaca: Everlasting Night
I haven’t finished it, I’ll update if I find anything noteworthy later in the game.
There is R rated content, turn it on in the settings.
This game is playable, enjoyable, and quite unique. Very, unique, far more so than it might seem at first glance, some interesting enemy designs populate the game, from teddy-bear adjacent creatures, to almost cuddly looking mummies Pretty women, and creepy men. It could use some tuning, but if you think you’ll like it, you will.
So far, I absolutely love it. I think it’s worth the try even if you just play an hour and refund. It’s Metroidvania with beat-em-up combat and fighting game special moves and combos. This means there are some things, I find a lot of things janky about it. Blocking is tricky to get used to, wish teleport was just double tap in a direction, but that would limit your combos.

The game is largely inspired by Symphony of the Night as with any metroidvania that has RPG elements, although the actual combat is more like a beat’em up game. If anything the base move set is very similar to a Street Fighter with 2 variations on the kick and punch. Those 4 attacks can be chained into different combos and improved versions that require resources, granted you have to unlock those first. Some of the bosses will drop special powers that will interact with the environment, that is where the ‘Metroidvania’ comes in. The game has a map, waypoints, secrets and optional challenges in a form of unique enemies. Unfortunately, the save system is kinda old school, when you die you might lose progress as you can only resurrect from the last save or the previous teleport, at least to my knowledge.

Maytroid. I swear it’s a nice game too
This is a really weird game, to the point where I don’t really know how to begin this.
The first thing that comes to mind when trying to describe this game is “obtuse”. When I first statrted playing, I was completely confused as onto what the game was expecting of me. Sure, getting from point A to B is a simple enough objective, but, where am I going to, exactly? What am I aiming for, here? How do I know that I’m going in the right direction? But most importantly: what do all these things around me do and why are they there?

An action platformer with some spicy images that delivers on its promise. For this small price, it is a good catch.
Default keyboard controls are far from the standard, but you can easily rebind those. I couldn’t select options in menus using rebound keys and I had to advance dialogue using the “Walk Right” button, but that’s it.
The character animation is fluid and the art is beautiful, especially the main character and the bosses. The spicy artwork is good and an uncensor patch is available, but it is far from the main draw of the game. You can easily unlock all weapons, upgrades and images in a single playthrough.

UnHolY DisAsTeR
I ll try to do my short review after few hours of playing using my mediocre english skills. I’ve tried steam “all age” version for a few minutes - no H animations. So get r18 patch before starting to play.
This game, like rest of the UnHolY series (google it or find it on dlsite, they are great) is pixel hentai castelvania/metroid like side-scroller. You control cute blonde heroine fighting monsters utilizing different skills and magic abilities which are unlocked by defeating bosses and by finding them in various places in the world. When HP falls to 0 our heroine will be knocked down and nearby monsters\bosses will perform their H animation, which are very well done, you can then use 1 of 3 lives and get back up. Lives, as well as HP and SP are restored at each save point that are located at various places. There are also teleport system for easier backtracking.

“A very polished metroidvania style ecchi game with amazing pixel artworks.”
(by Nyanco Curator )
The UnHolY Series is finally available on Steam. We are very excited to welcome these lovely games to Steam. Especially, this game has already sold more than 7,000 copies in the Japan domestic market and has received very positive feedback from players.
The game is a somewhat classic metroidvania style, but the actual gameplay is neat. Of course, keyboard control is a bit rough, but it does not ruin the game. It offers a challenging game experience through well-design stages. Players will learn various magical skills while exploring various areas. In addition, No Grinding Required!

Hellbound: the Awakening
Hellbound: the Awakening is a fresh take on the highly popular Metroidvania genre. With its beautiful and dark 2D hand-drawn artwork, and presented in an over-the-top view perspective. The game’s lore is heavily inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy poem. Players will be taken on a challenging journey, from a mysterious village surrounded by black plague, to Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Violence, and other circles of Hell.

Vomitoreum
I loved playing both Shrine and its successor and I had high hopes for Vomitoreum, and what can I say: The most disappointing thing on this game is its title.
Vomitoreum is what I always wanted from lovecraftian cosmic otherworldly horror games. It is strange. It is sick. It is deranged and so out of this world that I have absolutely no idea who I am, where I am and what I want. A welcoming change from other horror games is (until now) the absence of jump scares and and a welcoming shortage of too dark areas. Vomitoreum lives from its alien world design and inhabitants, many of them not even hostile. And the great art style and soundscape enhance the impression of strangeness and foreignness so much that the strangest thing I literally experienced was finding cars and mundane machinery in one level whose engine noises sounded like music compared to the industrial synth drone that serves as the actual soundtrack to the game.

I would like to first start out by saying that scumhead is a budding developer and art director worth watching out for, I certainly look forward to what he and his team can do if and when they found a studio. I believe in his vision and capacity to deliver aesthetically interesting and old school fps games, that being said I think Vomitoreum displays some poor game design decisions that hold it back from being worth the price tag.

Amazing Princess Sarah
“Skill why you play that game? Isnt that a gurly game?”
I really liked Akane the Kunoichi and while looking on the store I found Amazing Princess Sarah which was also made by Haruneko Entertainment. So I thought to myself “Lets buy this game dude!”. Unlike some other people who have posted bad reviews about this game I quickly switched the default controls into something more realistic because I can honestly say that the default controls were really bad. Best way to play it is to use a Xbax controller anyways.

I’ll start off by saying I have enjoyed this game quite a bit more than the first game by the same group (Akane the Kunoichi). I think it’s because the controls felt a lot more responsive than in that game. Though having though back to that game it did have its fun points too.
Anyways, Amazing Princess Sarah (APS) is a platformer that sorta has some RPG elements included. You gain experience while killing enemies but you don’t really gain a whole lot from it (your sword does a little more damage, and your hp slowly increases). There is some replayability to this as when you beat it the first time around you unlock a New Game + (NG+) mode….Drunk Sarah. It is the same levels over again, but with the screen tilting side to side like, well, you’re drunk or something. Each of the additional modes have their amusing quirks which adds to the charm.

Silver Island
I don’t do reviews much but I did put almost eight hours into this game so I think it’s fair to give it a shot. There’s zombies and floating eyeballs and this weird silver fire extinguisher/snake thing that I hate with all my heart. And then there’s demon strippers and a cat that can topple civilizations. Oh, and you play as the obviously reincarnated Kurt Cobain to kill all these things (except the cat cause your supposed to save him).
I will say this is a metroidvania game and it’s my first encounter of such. So yeah, there’s trekking back and forth, there’s me trying to cut a tree down with a chain and trying to dig holes with a baseball bat and other nonsensical things that need proper weapons to expand the world which are hidden in sewers and on buildings and behind fake walls. Don’t go into those sewers without a flashlight! Don’t. Just don’t. And if you do get lost, watch my videos. You can FF through them to see where I ended up eventually to get the best weapon in the game.

Game reminds me of Ninja Gaiden, the music is dope, the environment in unique and the game is fun - although not very ‘PC’ so you ought stay a way if that’s your thing.
It’s a fun 2D scroller.

Haydee
Haydee is a niche game.
There’s a lot of games that are just “not for everybody”, and Haydee fits the bill. Most of the attention regarding the game is about the design of the protaganist. If you like THICK android girls with massive assets that jiggle with her gait, then you’ll probably be all for it.
But I play Haydee for the game. A quick glance at the achievements stats shows that less than 3% of people who have played Haydee have even beaten it. Most players haven’t even passed the tutorial.
– Real player with 222.4 hrs in game
Haydee is without a doubt an interesting game. Interesting for many reasons but the main reason is the Main Protagonist. I never feel it is truly necessary to justify the use of anything, including copious amounts of sexuality, however justification certainly helps to make the medicine go down. Haydee really makes no effort to justify its sexuality, it’s just there. It’s merely the coat of paint on top of the underlying game, of which the underlying game is quite solid. I would say it’s almost unfair to judge the game too harshly on it, it would make no difference if the game featured a blue giraffes as the protagonist, but if anything, there in lies the issue. I always say if you’re going to commit to something, fully commit and don’t look back. The games is not really built on a foundation of sexuality it merely bares it’s banner. The game doesn’t have you fighting hoards of sex crazed robots. It doesn’t have you having sex with them to quench their insatiable desire nor is it lavishly adorned with phallic and yonic imagery at every turn. The game I just described would be far more interesting if only for the wrong reasons.
