After Shadows
I don’t understand it. It has some “game sessions”, so is it some kind of rogue-like game?.. Doesn’t seem to be a metroidvania at all…

Curse of the Sea Rats
Curse of the Sea Rats is a ratoidvania platform adventure lovingly crafted with hand-drawn animations, which charts the epic journey of four prisoners of the British empire, turned into rats by a pirate witch. To regain their human bodies, they will have to fight dangerous bosses, explore the vast coast of Ireland, and ultimately capture the witch who cursed them.
Beautiful 2D, hand-drawn animation breath life into the game’s characters - inspired by the likes of Disney and Don Bluth and reminiscent of the golden age of 2D platforming action. These combine seamlessly with detailed 3D environments and enhanced by light and shadow to create a 2.5D platforming experience of incredible quality.
Chart your own progress through a huge, non-linear game world as you attempt to track down the pirate witch who cursed you. Shipwrecked on the coast of Ireland in the 18th Century, you’ll need more than just your swashbuckling skills to forge your path to freedom.
Whether you play alone or with up to three friends, there are four playable characters to chose from - Douglas, Buffalo, Akane, and Bussa. Each bringing their own unique fighting styles to the adventure to help you get the better of both enemies and the environment!
While each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, you’ll be able to improve their abilities as your adventure progresses - unlocking new special skills, boosting your offence and defence, or unlocking powerful magics!
A labyrinthine network of hundreds of pathways, rooms and discoveries lay before you, in a substantial quest of over 12 hours. Can your master each character’s abilities, find all of the game secrets and unlock all the multiple endings?

Insect Adventure
Insect Adventure 8/10 Stars (Steam Only ATM)
This is a Metroid-style MV, even though at first glance, I assumed it would be closer to an HK-style MV considering the bug theme (which they poke fun at in the game). Most of the familiar themes from Super Metroid are all here, although the Dev does have a few tricks up his sleeve. In fact, once I started playing it, I thought this was going to practically be a straight-up reskin like an AM2R type game with bug skin. Luckily I was wrong.
We get the usual mobility upgrades (Relics), consumables (which can be purchased or mined), and upgrades for our health & strength. Plus, some stuff not found in Super Metroid.

Pretty good little Metroidvania, took me about 4-5 hours for the first ~75% run. It’s indy af, hitboxes are jank, you can stuck in the floor, it borrows a lot of ideas from more polished and popular games, but it feels like it’s own thing and really fun to play. There is a lot of power ups, options for travel and secrets, exploring the world really feels rewarding.
And there is also a second character and 4 difficulty modes.
Give this game a chance, it’s a must for MV fans.

Exploaris: Vermis story
The game looks good, the music is great, but I would like more dynamics, the developers really tried over it. Early access due to the small amount of content, takes 2-4 hours. and tutorials would be great!
– Real player with 3.9 hrs in game
There is a lot of good stuff going on here.
-Hand drawn art is beautiful.
-Soundtrack is very relaxing and solid.
Unfortunately, the bad stuff needs a lot of work.
-Tutorial needs to include how/why to control 2 characters at once.
-The fighting feels sort of pointless.
-There are apparently upgrades and other attacks but I never got to do anything other than a simple punch.

DNA Farm
Very interesting game, the description says it all, clearly…but it runs well and feels fun! I keep saying it in these reviews, but I mean it…the price is a little too steep..this could be fun for a lot of people but…if they won’t spend 11 bucks, maybe the won’t see how good it is, anyways..just my thoughts. Not a bad game at all!
