This game is awesome and cute, and I would definitely recommend getting it! The mechanics are solid, there’s a good amount of secrets to discover, a lot of cute NPC’s to talk to, and it’s an overall fun experience. How long it takes to beat the game depends on how much of the world you decide to explore. My first run, where I tried to explore as much as I could (Though I don’t think I got everything!) took over 1.5 hours before I beat it, though I eventually managed to beat the game in under 7 minutes for the achievement (I looked at a speedrun to figure out how). The different wands are pretty cool, even if I mostly just used the pink one (And one other wand later on).

Do not let the cuteness fool you! In this game you can die very easily! I am not good at Bullet hell games but I was able to complete this one unlike a few others. I do feel I will never get all of the achievements because I lack the talent and focus bullet hells require and I have chosen to accept it. It still did not stop me from purchasing and enjoying this game on a whole. Maybe one day I will try to get another achievement but as for now I am content with the experience and what i paid for it.

Frauki’s Adventure!
Have you been craving a 2D Soulslike?
If you want to see gameplay and watch my first impressions as they happened, click my video. You are Frauki, tasked with defeating alien robots and finding prism crystals. Why don’t all of the alien robots fight you? Who are all of these garden gnomes? How did you obtain your awesome electrical sword? Ponder these questions and more as you die. A lot.
Frauki’s Adventure is a straightforward melee action game with platforming elements, but it’s the Soulslike nature that sets it apart. Your attacks are slow, and you need to be deliberate despite the rapid pace of combat. Normal enemies are simple enough to deal with, but the frequent boss encounters will end you. Fortunately the game’s map is designed to get you back to where you were soon enough, so progress is frequent and rarely lost.

Surprisingly good! A compact but charming world, not many enemy types but that’s good to practice patterns, not many abilities but well-tuned timings to make every fight challenging. The pixel art felt a bit raw at first, but it blends well with the soundtrack and overall tone of the game. The animations are smooth, the hit-boxes are ok, I faced only few frustrating situations (1. the tanks, with their fast punch animation and recovery times, and 2. ghosting through doors and locking myself outside). I see potential for challenge runs.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens
Shantae and the Seven Sirens is the 5th game in the series and I think it plays about as strong as Pirate’s Curse did. It fixed a lot of issues I personally had with Half-Genie Hero and I’m glad they were able to touch on that and not make it feel like they barely made any changes. I had high expectations for this game since Half-Genie Hero felt a little on the weaker side, and they met my expectations with this game and beyond actually.
Graphics
This is one of the things I loved about Half-Genie Hero is the art style fits this game so well. Seven Sirens returns with the same art style, but is an overall upgrade. It’s the same idea of art, but there is a very clear difference in colour contrast and overall vibrancy from Half-Genie Hero. There is also more fluid art/animations in terms of enemies and NPCs from the previous game, which is always a plus. The biggest thing graphically wise is fully animated cutscenes that really give it an anime type style and it works out perfectly. I loved the style they did for the teaser/trailer that was shown and was a really not getting my hopes up that we would see anything past that, maybe the ending scene but nope, every boss encounter and every important story element had cutscenes that were fully animated. It’s very obvious that a good amount of the budget for the game went into the animated cutscenes and I can’t express how much I appreciate that choice because they nailed the style to reflect for this game. Background for the zones is fantastic, sunken city, wrecked ship, underwater laboratory, lush jungles/overgrowth, underwater volcano, they nailed it and that’s just something Shantae games have always nailed I feel, which goes even further this art style they’ve used for the past two games.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is the best Shantae game since Pirate’s Curse.
Almost everything wrong that was in Half-Genie Hero is fixed in this game, and it feels like the proper HD Shantae game that Half-Genie Hero should have been.
One of the best things about it is the new fusion transformation system. These transformations work similarly to the pirate gear from Pirate’s Curse. Instead of having to stop and dance to transform, they automatically activate with a press of a button. This is by far the best transformation system the series has ever had and I hope they stick with it for the next game. Now that doesn’t mean the old dance menu system from Half-Genie Hero has gone away. It’s still here in this game but instead of having go through 3 menus of animal transformations that play similar to each other, you now have a single menu that contains 4 transformations that can affect the environment around you. These range from revealing hidden enemies and items in an area to causing earthquakes that can damage enemies nearby and move heavy obstacles out of your way.

Little Ghost
17+ || 2D Metroidvania
Jump and ~FLOAT~ through a world of Mixed-Media.
Little Ghost focuses on platform challenges rather than combat.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ā©
The entire game has been built around the float-jump mechanic.
1ļøā£ There’s a Solid Two Hours of gameplay in the demo, more if you want to collect all items and goodies.
2ļøā£ There is also a clearly defined beginning/middle/end to the demo experience.
3ļøā£ Little Ghost moves at a slower pace, so there’s no time-crunch twitchy anxiety, but that doesn’t mean it is easy.
4ļøā£ The platforming will become difficult as you progress, though never unfair.
This is a fairly precise platformer, playing with a controller is recommended, though not required.
FIND POWER-UPS & COLLECTABLES
The world of Little Ghost and the game’s art style present really fun and unique opportunities for hiding easter-eggs and collectables.
There are 3 types of collectables: Items, Mp3s, and Tarot Cards.
MUSIC
One of the demo quests has you searching for scattered mp3s, which you can listen to on your in-game music player.
(The mp3 player is a little Penguin by the way; he’s great, we love him.)
His collectable playlist features music from: GULL, It’s Not Night It’s Space, miRthkon, Nehedar, Christopher North, Pattern Recognition, Andras Jones, The Donkeys, and Jesse Miller, as well as podcasts from: 42Minutes, Radio8Ball, Always Record, and Fine Just Fine.
Streamers have our permission to broadcast the Little Ghost music & podcasts on their streams and playthrus.

Null & Peta -Invasion of the Queen Bug-
PROS
-
has Steam Achievement
-
great Soundtracks
-
nice Characters design
-
voice acting with full of cheer and spirit
-
the gameplay quite simple
CONS
-
No Steam Cloud, your saved progress will never store to Cloud. (I REALLY HATE THIS SENSATION)
-
there was some lacking in few keys.
ADDITIONAL NOTE
game with a decent crazy comedy Anime story and surprisingly good animation, art, and voic eacting. for storyline really different from Anime version which Peta, Null’s older Sister got an accident where she jarred in the crash with Truck. Null decide to revive her older Sister and final result is not as expected to her mind. you can see the Anime version with buying the DLC here
ā Real player with 80.0 hrs in game
The story of the game is the continuation of the anime. Since the key items in the game are from the anime, and the game pretty much assumes that you already know Null and Peta, it is highly recommended that you watch the anime before playing the game.
Just like the anime, the game is mostly lighthearted in tone with some absurd and unexpectedly heartwarming or tear-jerking moments. I think that the story could have been made better by explaining
! who Kaki (the beach girl in the episode 6) was or what had happened to Null and Peta’s parents who are mysteriously absent both in the game and the anime, which would certainly have enhanced the emotional side of the story, though I am content to see the origin of the bugs explained and learn more about Null and Peta sisters.

Trash Quest
A very good metroidvania about a raccoon getting to the trash on a spaceship! The movement takes a moment to get used to, but it’s really fun after a bit! I love how the upgrades open up new shortcuts to get back to, and the side challenges for optional upgrades were a nice change of pace! The level design was laid out very well, and the map made sure you always knew where to check when you get a new powerup!

This game is really fun! Super short and sweet. A nice challenge for both platforming and boss fights. I’ve beaten the game 3 times now, trying to get all the achievements, and I can honestly say that due to the short nature of the game, the replayability is quite high, which is good since the final 3 achievements are extremely hard.
EDIT: The below issue has since been fixed with an update. The dev has been super responsive to feedback and that’s a huge positive in my book. With these issues fixed, I have nothing negative to say about the game. If you like metroidvanias, and you’re interested in a bite-sized streamlined take on the genre then this is definitely the game for you!

Witchcrafty
Witchcrafty is a metroidvania-platformer that immerses you in a world of magic. Something strange is happening in the Kingdom - the forests are filled with predatory plants, their peace-loving peoples have taken up arms against each other, and goblins were noticed in the deep mines. The little witch has to start her journey in search of truth and answers. Who is behind all these events? Should you trust strangers along the way? Who stole the Witch’s mail? Or maybe all this is not at all what it seems?
Features
-
Dynamic action gameplay: combo attacks, dodge, dash and magic - use everything that is available to you to win. Incinerate enemies with fire, pierce with lightning, or chill their ardor with ice magic. Even your wand is not just a magic accessory, but a melee weapon that will save you at a critical moment.
-
Exploration of the world: magical forests, dark caves, icy mountains and abandoned castles - they are all full of secrets and treasures ā¦ and dangers. You never know what awaits you around the corner - an old tome containing a new spell or a goblin ambush?
-
It’s still metroidvania. Each new element that you master opens up new opportunities and paths. Deep water ceases to be dangerous in front of ice magic, and lightning can split even rocks in your path.
-
Adorable pixel art graphics: pixels have never been so cute!
-
Everything you expect from a fairy game, but with a touch of weirdness. A little witch with an unhealthy craving for explosions. Suspicious magic cat. Giant mushrooms trying to kick you.
Fearmonium
Review for English Speakers
To begin with I would like to mention that the previous game from this developer was a real revelation for me. I didnāt expect anything special, and yet Catmaze sunk into my soul and was beaten several times. Therefore, when Redblack Spade announced the beginning of the development of a new game and said that it would be a Metroidvania again, I followed the news and expected something unusual and interesting. And when I was finally lucky enough to play it, I wasnāt disappointed.

Teenager Max isn’t having a very good life right now. He’s facing bullies at school, his grandfather recently passed away, and this brings his mother and the abusive step-father back into his life. That’s enough to leave anyone unstable already, but Max also happens to visit a fair, and have an unpleasant encounter with a clown. The memory of this encounter lands in his unconscious mind, and sets off to become more than just a memory- to become a phobia.
“Fearmonium” is a pretty typical Metroidvania: explore the beautifully hand-drawn interconnected levels, bash enemies with your clown hammer, defeat various bosses to gain extra traversal abilities, go to places you couldn’t before. All of these core elements are done well-enough, so what makes the game stand out and be worth the attention?
