Fight of Animals: Arena
I absolutely LOVE This game. It’s fun as hell and I almost want it to be more competitive honestly. I want to see this game go FAR !! I want to see Tournaments, tons of content creators playing and promoting this, and even casual players play this and then learn the game well enough to get even better!
A Game like this can really gain LOTS of attention and could be taken more seriously with just a few improvements.
Improvement Suggestions:
- Allow us to Dash cancel Specials in the air ! This will allow even better combos and can really reward competitive players

The game is really fun. I love the concept and execution. Maybe it won’t take long to get boring, but with friends, perhaps at a party this will give yall good time. Controller is a must, no way you play that on a keyboard. Even the menu doesn’t work as it should without a pad.

So, bought this on a whim to record a video thinking “okay, might get a few chuckles off of this” – also thought this could be a secret alt-right propganda game (which it wasn’t, obviously haha) – and oh man, this is a great smash bros demake.
The alternate to the human species genders that you can choose from are pretty hilarious (example Kindergender is a, for lack of better term “molester van” with the words “free candy” scribbled on the side and an attack featuring a stick figure handing candy out).

First and foremost, lets get the controversy/rough waters, if you will out of the way
As a Catholic Christian (with nothing against anyone who has any other religious background or even if a person doesnt have a religious background) this game doesn’t offend me. Why? the reason is as follows
From my prespective being a Catholic Christian, this game potrays Jesus in an accurate, proper, and non-mocking way, unlike Mugen for example, which can potentially put Jesus into fights against characters from shows or games, which can be thought of as poor taste

I bought this game as a joke. While me and a mate were joking around. We thought it would be fun for one hour max.
One of those cheesy indie games that you have a laugh at with a few drinks.
Turns out despite some horrific things, this game has great potential. The combo system is legit. And besides netcode thats the most important thing for a fighter. Its a hassle to get your fightstick to work on it, but after some tinkering with big picture mode on steam it can work. (same for a controller)

Umineko: Golden Fantasia
A caveat: I played the game an hour after release, this review is the day after. Supposedly bug fixes are being done on the game, my opinions may change if the game is fixed.
An excellent game in many regards, but the version has new netplay that replaced the old. For many, playing online is unplayable - even when the previous version (non steam ver which I’ve played hundreds of hours of) worked fine with these players. For some, the new netplay works but there are some egregious problems.
1: someone joining a full lobby can disconnect currently playing people.

-EDIT: Most of the Japanese text issues are already fixed, and the remaining ones (credits, system voice unlock message, replay save prompt) are being worked. Now all those people who couldn’t play the game because the move list didn’t say “Sommelier Finger” instead of “ソムリエフィンガ” next to the clear picture of a quarter circle backwards + A/B/C can train in peace.
On to the actual review:
PROS:
-ROLLBACK NETCODE. It still has its share of minor issues to iron out as it gets wider usage, but what has been implemented here is vastly superior to the original Japanese PC version, and more than most poverty games get. (Did the original releases of Chaos Code and Blade Arcus even have netplay at all?)

Fight of Animals
Fight of Animals is a fast-paced 2D fighting game, where all the characters have 20f overheads that convert into shittons of damage, where getting anti-aired means you’ll eat shittons of damage, and getting low poked from a confirmable range leads to shittons of damage. That’s why the game has a burst mechanic tied to a meter.
Most specials are dash cancellable on hit, which leads to a lot of cool interactions. Offense is strong as shit but so is defense because most overheads are punishable by shittons of damage when you block them.

Fight of Animals is a fun, lighthearted fighter, with a nice rock/paper/scissors take on the genre. 6 characters, 3 stages, arcade mode, training mode and an online pvp mode. The character designs are nicely done and have a unique “cell shaded” look to them. The combos are fun to pull off and at a closer look, this isnt just a simple fighter. The game’s mechanics lets the player customize their playstyle so eveyone isnt doing the same cookie cutter combos. I really enjoy the soundtrack and it give the game a personality like no other. Any fan of fighters will love this game

Friend Fighters
Had a great time playing this with friends.
The controller support is really rough around the edges though and it’s difficult getting different controllers to work.

DVOREC
So you’ve read the description and now you’re down in the comments looking for answers. Check out my video on the game to see the gameplay and get a feel for if this game is for you.
Warning I played this game in English, playing the game in it’s original language (Russian) may yield a different opinion.
I am not sure what DVOREC means or stands for, but I can tell you what I got from it. Loading up the game to the title screen makes it look like some sort of Russian Soap opera, then the images change to police and swat teams arresting people and marching in the street. So there’s that, also the English localization of the game is really bad so you’ll have to read and reread sentences to understand what is trying to be conveyed. Plus there are plenty of words that didn’t get translated so I had no clue what’s being said or where I need to go. The game crashed on me several times, I was fortunate it only crashed once during the recording of my video. It’s a typical RPG game with random battle fights, narrative driven missions and tongue in cheek dialogue. If know Russian or really love Russian culture; then this is the game for you. At a price point of $1(US), you can try the game out for yourself but I cannot recommend it as there are better options for that money.

Hardwork Simulator
That didn’t work for me. I got caught and got fired for it. They put a younger, prettier assistant in my place. But I doubt she types as fast as I do. They were the ones who lost

On the one hand, I really want to give the game a thumbs up for a creative and somewhat neat idea for a really cheap price.
On the other hand, though, I really must give it a thumbs down for not offering much at all, even at this price level plus thirty percent off; because in the end, cheap does just not justify bland.
I do enjoy any just semi-rewarding grinding game for a while, but looking at the short time invested here, I had rather counted cars drive by my window - even if the game had been for free. Where the game mechanics in any way challenging or rewarding, it would be a different story. However, it is random key bashing in it’s dullest form.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
TL;DR: A fun, yet disappointing game with a questionable future that at the end of the day does disservice to both Marvel and Capcom brands.
The Marvel vs. Capcom series is one that I hold dear in my heart. And this game’s gameplay is a deserving continuation of that series' tradition of fun, frantic and chaotic fighters with immense depth.
Unfortunately it would be remiss of me to recommend this game in its current form, at its current price, even with the current discount at the time of this writing. The game just simply doesn’t have anything besides its gameplay, with a lacklustre cast of characters mostly imported from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, tremendously disappointing and at times just plain ugly graphics that pale in most regards with its predecessor, mediocre soundtrack with a complete disregard to the series' legacy and some remixes that are… not good and questionable at best UX decisions, with menus that appear to be placeholders and yet still somehow manage to cause lag.
– Real player with 54.0 hrs in game
Don’t waste your money on this game. It’s already discounted for 33% off because of poor sales; but if you want the full game you’ll need to drop a ridiculous amount of money on DLC anyway, so what the discount actually saves you is closer to 2%.
Gameplay:
The game is actually pretty fun. They dumbed down some of the controls from previous installments, but it adds a new instant tag out system and still boasts an extraordinary amount of depth. Unfortunately, not all of the new inclusions are as fun in higher level play.
