Eisenwald: Blood of November
Unlike origina Legends of Eisenwald which included a campaign across several maps, here you have only one (large) map and the gameplay near the end is really tedious. You need to control the most castles on November 8th and there is no way to skip to this date if you control everything already, so you just wait on max game speed and hunt respawning brigands. On the other hand, the enemy forces respawn too, so you’ll have a very difficult fight until you level up your troops a bit and capture their city - then the endless enemy forces almost stop.

The Ice Crone is Hillary Clinton, Deiter is Donald Trump. Seriously, do the introduction quests and when Deiter talks about building a wall around the whole kingdom and keeping criminals and rapist southerners (Mexicans) and Saracens (Muslims) out, and then meet the corrupt Ice Crone and her corruption and likelihood of war with the “Muscovites” (Russia) and support for the Northern Treaty (TPP Deal) as well as her cheating husband and the “Saracen Beauty” they even named Huma after her aide Huma Abedin in real-life, you’ll know you’re choosing Donald or Hillary in this scenario - Which is hilarious. I can’t wait to see both sides' endings as neither can be good for the country, just like in real life. Political inside jokes aside, this scenario is actually quite fun.

Rising Lords
I have played this game for 100+hours is really fun to play against a friend, it’s turned based game BUT all turns happen at the same time, very nice feat I must say.
I don’t need to wait for my friend to do his turn since he does it at the same time and once both clicked end turn all moves will be done at the same time.
It’s a lot like Lords of Realm 2 which was easily one of the best games from the 90s.
You have to manage your kingdom a lot more then the regular games. Here you don’t only have happiness and tax but also the health and the seasons to think about. Plant harvest in the winter or your kingdom will starve later in the year(can also breed sheeps, cows or horses for diffrent effects). Your manpower for the army is also taken directly from the peasants that works for you so you want to make sure the peasants are in a good health so it’s plenty of workers and soldiers avaible for you.

Although it has many flaws, Rising lords is the first game that I am really into it that I am going write my first ever review.
Let’s start with what the game is about. This is a turn based game which focuses on building your army and expands your realm. Your objective is to conquer the enemy lands or to reach a certain amount of money to win. It has many similarities with games like Crusader kings, Civilization. If you like these games, you’re probably also into this. However in this game, the main difference is the combat. Your army can have a maximum of 7 pieces of different troops which you have raised during your turns in the world. When entering combat, your pieces will fight the enemy’s ones, and who ever loses all the pieces or their’s morale reaches zero will lose. I would saying the combat in this game is a lot like playing chess. Each type of your troops can have different strengths and weaknesses, and you try your best to to move them in the best possible way. In additions, the combat is further complimented by the cards system, which you can play to further your advantages.

Ancestors Legacy
Overview:
Ancestor’s Legacy is a hybrid game of RTS and Real-Time Tactics(RTT) Gameplay, though it likes to side a bit more with the RTT genre. While this game has base building, it isn’t in the typical sense. The player is given a main base camp that has a build menu. After clicking the button to build a structure, the structure is built by peasants at a location predetermined by the game. The base camp is also not the main place the player will get resources. A variety of villages of different sizes are scattered around each map with resource points attached to them. Each faction has different specialties. Units can be leveled up and be given armor to increase their power. The squad limit is set at 10. The game uses a Rock-Paper-Scissors style system to make some armies great at defeating others, but each factions version of the army has their own individual stats. The graphics are phenomenal, the sound design is great, and the campaign is excellent.

These people nailed what a limited base building unit capped RTS should be. There are choke points, open fields, water that slows you as you move through it (including swamps), trap building, terrain elevations & weather effecting line of sight (and fire), special traits per unit per factions that still feels balanced.
It executes exceptionally well on limited base building RTS with unit creation and replenishment and rewards well thought out RTT gameplay as all units level and can be upgraded thus rewarding teamwork and unit specialization with the population cap, traps, and size of the map encouraging strategy whilst limiting unit production to the starting base and permitting unit replenishment at any captured (ally) village for a nominal fee.

Ash of Gods: Redemption
Do you like story-driven turn-based tactical RPGs? Even those who have nothing to do with Japan and with fantasy in general?
Well, I was just searching for other turn-based games, and this one popped out as one of the recommended titles on Steam.
And I was not disappointed at all, as a long-time RPG player and turn-based lover.
The gameplay isn’t really innovative, but I wanted exactly the contrary - here you’ll face a classical turn-based system in which everyone will stay put until you choose which action to do (each turn is timed anyways).

Choices. Much like the choice you’re making on whether to buy this game or not, making difficult choices is one of the key aspects of this game. It will affect how the characters react, whether they’ll live or die, how the story develops, and ultimately how it will end. A lot of that takes time and setup, and in many ways this is the kind of game that takes patience to love. It has its share of faults, but if you can get past them I think there’s an excellent strategy game just waiting to be played.

Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood
This game… man this game…
The first time I played this game was when I was like 10. For that era, it had the most beatiful graphics i’ve ever seen in any videogame.
The gameplay can be portrayed as a perfect combination of Age of Empires + Paint. Yeah, not kidding. You actually play the game as if it was AoE and when you get into a fight, you draw shit with your mouse to attack. If you draw an inverted & you make an attack that takes time but is sure to fuck up the enemy, but it also takes all your stamina, leaving you defenseless for like 3 seconds.

Birthright
Been playing a few days now and its getting more interesting each time i play, not found any major bugs or game breaking bugs, just one thing that might need changing is when you eventually get killed you gota start again, theres no load game screen once you die so you need to go through the start again creating a character, maybe on that screen you can put a load game , but apart from that its great.

Total War: MEDIEVAL II – Definitive Edition
This game is the best Total War game in existence. This is by far my favourite. Not only are the vanilla and expansion campaigns a lot of fun, but the almost infinite fantastic mods adds the replayability of this game a thousand fold.
Pros
- Campaign experience is awesome. Lots of depth. Plenty to do. Complex enough that its not difficult to learn, but not easy to master either. It’s so easy to get immersed into your kingdom and care about your subjucts. History is your oyster. You become what you want. You can be a benevolent king who’s people adore, or a bloodthirsty tyrant that rules with an iron fist, a bumbling general that doesn’t inspire his men at all, or the greatest commander alive who even peasants will fight to their death on his command.

Despite it’s old age, it’s a masterpiece.
Medieval II: Total War is one of the best strategy games I’ve played. It’s both enjoyable in a strategical and personal sense.
Lets just straight get into why.
Gameplay
- The game manages to be detailed with their strategy, forcing you to actually flank and position your troops. It doesn’t just account to how large your force is or whose troops are more disciplined, though, those two are factors to consider as well. In multiplayer, you might even be able to factor in Psychological Warfare! It gets pretty in-depth. And I love that.

Knights of the Tiny Table
Decent game, gets boring after a little while. Could use a little more content. As it is it’s just about worth the $4 pricetag.

Fun little game. Hating yourself for not choosing another knight sometimes and one round later you are very happy with your choice.

Rogue Summoner
Fun game, not for everyone and often quite unforgiving but something fresh and new.
It’s a combination of a Roguelike and a creature game, which is unusual in itself, but rather than command them, they act based on pre decided abilities and behaviours and where you place them, though you are shown a lot of what might happen on a turn. There is some trial and error as you learn the creatures abilities, but it’s very satisfying when it all comes together. And the guide iIve just made tells you what all the creatures do so there is that.

IN A WORD: MAYBE
IN A NUTSHELL:
WHAT TO EXPECT: Combination of planning and strategy. Limited tactical assets and resources. Dungeon crawler. Roguelike elements. Procedurally generated rooms. Hands-off, auto-chess style, turn-based combat. Limited polygon graphic-style. 9 dungeons. 40 summonable creatures, half-dozen potions and rune spells. Immersive soundtrack. Singleplayer only.
ACHIEVEMENTS: COMPREHENSIVE. CONTRIVED.
STATUS: COMPLETED. SOME BUGS. SLOW SUPPORT.

Ruin or Victory
Ruin or Victory is a modern take on the classic RTS genre with added detail, continuity, and strategic depth while remaining accessible and well-paced.
Game modes at release
-
A free-build mode with no opponent and optional tutorial hints. A complete user manual will be accessible in game while paused.
-
A scenario mode against an AI opponent that starts with a base and launches increasingly challenging attacks against the player. Both the map and AI preset will be randomized each game, and difficulty, game length, and other settings will be available.
Features at release
-
Random map generation with different terrain, resources, and starting positions each game. Create your own custom map configuration files to control most parameters of map generation.
-
An AI that does not cheat, but uses all the same mechanics that the player does. The AI will make decisions based only on what it has spotted.
-
An extensive, branching technology tree with new items, buildings, and abstract benefits. Some paths are exclusive to others and offer both advantages and disadvantages that define your strategy and playstyle. The tree starts in the stone age and ends at the early medieval age.
-
An organic population growth system that uses real-time food consumption, death due to starvation, and overcrowding factors. You will have to balance your population’s growth, food production, and military size.
-
Skills for your peasants that are gained from their actions and significantly improve their efficiency. Various crafters make high quality items and are a strategic target, while skilled warriors take time to train but are dangerous in battle.
-
Rally system that allows you to set gather points for peasants and warriors separately and summon them as needed. Collect your idle peasants or rally your troops to their posts with any number of points that you place.
-
Domesticated animals that serve as more efficient farm and transport workers and enable the use of cavalry, but require food and training. Animals can be captured when their previous owners abandon them.
-
Continuity of resources and items presents a new strategy of logistics. All resources gathered and items made are physically present in the game world.
-
Resources must be moved to buildings for construction, can be taken out of the building by disassembling, and are lost when the building burns. Workshops that make items must have resources delivered, and the items must be moved and stored in armories.
-
Buildings and other constructs, such as siege equipment, require humans to operate, and can be captured if abandoned. Buildings captured from the enemy can be looted, burned, or used like your own buildings.
-
Warriors are equipped with custom sets of equipment that you design. Create armored archers or light spearmen to fend of cavalry. Every piece of a warrior’s equipment will impact their speed and combat abilities. Carried items and resources are dropped on death, allowing the victor to loot the battlefield.
All of this detail is scaled to the strategic level. There are no inventory screens or per item management. Stored items and resources, warrior equipment, and item upgrades are managed in any quantity with a few button clicks. Peasants automatically find necessary items and buildings for pickup and drop-off, carrying out their tasks with an individual AI.
Selected humans, animals, and constructs are automatically categorized and sorted, allowing you to select by type, skill, or equipment quickly. An order queuing system allows you to chain orders and display them in the game world.
A clear user interface with customization options, intuitive hotkey navigation, and unlimited map zoom with scalable icons, is presented with original, stylized artwork and font.
Features that will be added after release
-
Multiplayer, including cooperative play in all singleplayer modes, as well as PvP on any random map.
-
A skirmish gamemode in which the AI starts and builds up like the player.
-
Rivers and lakes that divide the map as well as island maps on the open ocean. Gather fish and fight the enemy with warships crewed by your warriors in ranged and boarding engagements.
This list is not exhaustive; support and additional features will continue after release.
