The Viking Way

The Viking Way; an ambitious project that aims to bring a Viking experience into the 3D RPG world. Upon playing I could see the amount of work being put into this project, through their slowly chipping away at every unpolished surface in the game with every update.

It’s Medieval times, when the Vikings rule the high seas and warring factions fight for new land and dominance over other factions. This is where I come into play; I am about to set off on a journey to represent the Faction Ribe and make my father proud.

## Village Fest: Digging

![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1302030/extras/smash_4.1.gif?t=1631873370)

Village Fest™: Digging is competitive (PvP) casual-action game set in medieval period.

Dig as much as you can gold and bring them to the collector before time runs out or someone steals it.

#### Key features

* multiple play styles (dig, loot, steal or mix any of those)

*   defend your gold

* variety of potions that provide power-up to player (shield, speed, strength)

* up to 4 players (local and online multiplayer)

* variety of maps to choose from (green plains, quarry, hills…)

* procedurally generated props on map

#### Ways to play

**Dig**

Collect gold by digging specific spots. You have chance to find golden bar here which has much greater value than coins. Downside is that it can take a while until is found, or you may be in luck to find it quickly. You never know!

**Loot**

Smash props (chests, barrels...) to find gold. You may find potions as well. Pretty easy to get, but not very rewarding.

**Steal**

Track players with lot of carrying gold or wait until someone finds golden bar. Then reach them before they manage to bring gold to collector and take it for yourself.

It clean and sharp. It's colourful. No ray tracing or gorgeous lighting effects so don't expect much. Audio sounds great, but some of it is missing. An example is there are no crossbow sounds. The gameplay is repetitive very quickly. A good amount of levels to enjoy. You have a knife and a crossbow. Your goal is to make it out the other end of this dungeon crawler.** *– [Real player with 0.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198064787791)* ---

--- ### Experienced on the Oculus Rift I guess you could call this a dungeon crawler … if you're being generous. It plays just like a wave shooter (with set pieces though), where you can use the saddest crossbow or a knife. You select one of 10 levels (once you beat a level the next one unlocks). You get stars ... for your score killing & breaking everything). Teleport is the only locomotion, there is no snap or smooth turning. This game is so bad that I won't even do a video review for it or a Steam Curator review. I'd hate to bring this curse upon my channel. The only good thing I can say about the game is that I didn't experience any bugs and it seemed to be running smoothly. Everything else was horrible. *– [Real player with 0.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198066590240)* --- ![Ruin or Victory](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1800010/header.jpg "") ## Ruin or Victory Ruin or Victory is a modern take on the classic RTS genre with added detail, continuity, and strategic depth while remaining accessible and well-paced. **Game modes at release** * A free-build mode with no opponent and optional tutorial hints. A complete user manual will be accessible in game while paused. * A scenario mode against an AI opponent that starts with a base and launches increasingly challenging attacks against the player. Both the map and AI preset will be randomized each game, and difficulty, game length, and other settings will be available. **Features at release** * Random map generation with different terrain, resources, and starting positions each game. Create your own custom map configuration files to control most parameters of map generation. * An AI that does not cheat, but uses all the same mechanics that the player does. The AI will make decisions based only on what it has spotted. * An extensive, branching technology tree with new items, buildings, and abstract benefits. Some paths are exclusive to others and offer both advantages and disadvantages that define your strategy and playstyle. The tree starts in the stone age and ends at the early medieval age. * An organic population growth system that uses real-time food consumption, death due to starvation, and overcrowding factors. You will have to balance your population's growth, food production, and military size. * Skills for your peasants that are gained from their actions and significantly improve their efficiency. Various crafters make high quality items and are a strategic target, while skilled warriors take time to train but are dangerous in battle. * Rally system that allows you to set gather points for peasants and warriors separately and summon them as needed. Collect your idle peasants or rally your troops to their posts with any number of points that you place. * Domesticated animals that serve as more efficient farm and transport workers and enable the use of cavalry, but require food and training. Animals can be captured when their previous owners abandon them. * Continuity of resources and items presents a new strategy of logistics. All resources gathered and items made are physically present in the game world. * Resources must be moved to buildings for construction, can be taken out of the building by disassembling, and are lost when the building burns. Workshops that make items must have resources delivered, and the items must be moved and stored in armories. * Buildings and other constructs, such as siege equipment, require humans to operate, and can be captured if abandoned. Buildings captured from the enemy can be looted, burned, or used like your own buildings. * Warriors are equipped with custom sets of equipment that you design. Create armored archers or light spearmen to fend of cavalry. Every piece of a warrior's equipment will impact their speed and combat abilities. Carried items and resources are dropped on death, allowing the victor to loot the battlefield. All of this detail is scaled to the strategic level. There are no inventory screens or per item management. Stored items and resources, warrior equipment, and item upgrades are managed in any quantity with a few button clicks. Peasants automatically find necessary items and buildings for pickup and drop-off, carrying out their tasks with an individual AI. Selected humans, animals, and constructs are automatically categorized and sorted, allowing you to select by type, skill, or equipment quickly. An order queuing system allows you to chain orders and display them in the game world. A clear user interface with customization options, intuitive hotkey navigation, and unlimited map zoom with scalable icons, is presented with original, stylized artwork and font. **Features that will be added after release** * Multiplayer, including cooperative play in all singleplayer modes, as well as PvP on any random map. * A skirmish gamemode in which the AI starts and builds up like the player. * Rivers and lakes that divide the map as well as island maps on the open ocean. Gather fish and fight the enemy with warships crewed by your warriors in ranged and boarding engagements. This list is not exhaustive; support and additional features will continue after release. --- ![Blade Crusade](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1787690/header.jpg "") ## Blade Crusade ![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1787690/extras/newspaper-quarter.png?t=1637946735) **_Blade Crusade_**, the mysterious game originally found on Osama Bin Laden's hard drive, is now available in the west for the first time! However, the upgrades are seemingly optional; however, they are absolutely required to complete any number of waves. This game has a very addictive substance to it, and I myself would love to see some more things on the farm - Perhaps you could use gold to upgrade/purchase additional farm implementations to assist you? At Wave 190, I'm killing probably around 200 enemies a wave, while scraping with minimal health/near misses! *– [Real player with 7.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198004859972)* A simple fun game for only $5\. I will try to beat wave 100 in the future but wave 33 is very hard. I highly recommend playing this game. It is a wave base game like Call of Duty Zombies. I would buy a game like this. 8 out of 10 Find more review from me on my steam curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41065644-Jimi-Reviews-Games/ *– [Real player with 6.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040936649)* --- ![Skydom](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1357400/header.jpg "") ## Skydom Skydom started out as a dream with some close friends years ago and has evolved into a vast, open-world adventure you can soon experience for yourself. It ramps up the difficulty tremendously with harder hitting enemies, even more concealed insta-death spike traps and confusing level design. Buy Witchaven I. If you LOVED it you will LIKE Witchaven II. To me this game is a beautiful marriage of the elements that made me love "melee slashers" and it's plagued by none of the issues of other titles. The movement, animation, attacks, attack feedback, abilities and customization are all done beautifully and you can tell what's going on regardless of how new you are to the game. The controls take a short amount of getting used to, after that it's incredibly intuitive. It's an incredible amount of fun to play, shockingly easy to learn and just the right level of hard to master. I haven't enjoyed being owned by far better opponents or enjoyed owning less skilled players this much possibly ever. It all comes down to the aesthetic, combat feedback and combat design that is IMHO unparalleled by any other game on the market. Name a game with combat that's more intense, well-thought out and encourages the least anger towards the game than this. You can't. These developers deserve all the support anyone can give. *– [Real player with 57.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970903299)* W Edit: I wrote that because I kept trying to post my review, but I thought maybe it was too long or something so if I would just type something short it would post then I could edit it later, but then it didn't work, but I guess it did. Oh my oh my oh my. The beta was already super promising. Sure I didn't get to play much in the beta since they weren't many games running, but it was a blast. And I was expecting to pay $20, and then it's $4, but then on sale for 10% because why not, and, and less than one 5th of the price, and, and… Oh yeah I have to talk about the game. *– [Real player with 26.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198283982937)* ---
