Darksburg
I’m writing this review for everyone who is thinking about picking up this game, but isn’t exactly sure yet.
At first I want to give a rough overview about the game and talk about positives and negatives after. Darksburg is an isometric cooperative 4 player game, thats heavily influenced by Left 4 Dead, Warhammer Vermintide and your typical ARPG title or even MOBA.
At the point I’m writing this review we have 3 different gamemodes: coop survival, last stand and PvP.
In the coop survival mode you have to get from point A to point B while defending yourself against hordes of attacking zombies and special infected, finishing different tasks like finding wooden planks and nails to repair a church door.

Updated based on ‘Going Rogue’ update.
This update is literally a game-changer! The new mode is a loooot of fun, with every single character receiving some great quality of life updates. It used to be ‘Varag is meant to be able to tear people apart’, well… you got what you asked for - now he can! Dolorosa has been an amazing addition (the 5th playable character), with some of the best CC in the game, which you need when there are now hordes of zombies coming for you.
In previous updates the hordes just kind of waited sometimes for you to come near, now they seek you out which feels much more zombie-horror-survival. There have been some minor art improvements which I love (though I am biased as I already love the setting) and oh so much more…

The First Templar - Steam Special Edition
Surprisingly addicting game. Too bad it’s overlooked.
The graphics are dated, really dated, and you can tell that right away. But somehow, the game itself does not appear to be ugly - the game doesn’t try to be anything else but a good and easy linear adventure. But in general, the graphics are STATIC. As in, there’s no wind, trees are frozen in time and space, no physics, no discernible effects on the environment by your actions.
The story is extremely easy to follow though. No need to memorize names, locations and tons of redundant quests. And there’s an abundant amount of history to enjoy. I’m not sure how much of it is concrete though.

Don’t buy into the low meta-critic score of this game. Those reviews do point out problems that this game has, but at the same time most write that the game is enjoyable.
If you are a fan of historical RPG, and are willing to overlook some technical flaws, you will enjoy this game.
First off, I just finished my first playthrough of the game. It took me 20-something hours. Here are my impressions:
Worst problem:
character animations. They feel unfinished. Most characters walk around stiff, as if they are only held upright due to some painful shaft stuck up… I was surprised to see the finishing credits showing a team of 5 character animators. They really dropped the ball on this one. However the combat finishing move animations are very satisfying to watch.

FOR HONOR™
The community is all over the place but quick summerise Vikings and Samurais are both tryhard teams while knights are trying but they are also just having actual fun so imma switch to them when I feel like it.
All the characters are fun and look good but it’s up to perspective i can’t play Nobushi for the life of me but Kyoshin i can kick ass on, try a few and decide yourself, i would wish for rep 5 and under people would be allowed to just try any character because of how many characters there are now but doesn’t really matter.

Even though I have a lot of time in this game its only because it is the only one of its kind. The community is so toxic and horrible (but that goes with most games especially ubisoft ones) but that is only part of the problem. People join games with high pings and dominate because for some reason a guy sitting at 300 ping is still good to play? They recently changed the game from a reaction based game to a reading based (meaning instead of reacting to what your opponent does you have to predict and punish what you think they will do since most of the attacks are unreactable). Queue times are around 3-4 minutes for the most popular playlist (dominion) and even though you get in, your team is filled with people who don’t care to play the obj but just go for kills despite game modes (1v1, 2v2, deathmatch, etc) being designed specifically for that but people don’t platy those modes. Often times you will get teams full of the meta character or some 4man stack teams who no life the game to the point that they can take you 100-0 in a matter of seconds without giving you a chance to fight back or get revenge (which doesn’t work half the time) with the help of heavy stagger and pinning attacks. You get almost no reward for playtime (the in game currency ranges from 20-50 a game with the challenges offering 250 max per although most often they are 150 for things like “playing 12 games as a vanguard character”) with items costeing 7k for a finisher or emote and upt to 10k for other cosmetic items. It is a fun game sometimes but most of the times it is a sweat fest where you cannot chill on.

Portal Dungeon: Goblin Escape
Sorry goblin fans, this goblin is adequate at best.
- It’s dumb and simple enough to be the kind of inbetween game with nearly no story you can play on a “I want to click and not think at all.” break.
It’s literally just “click to break or attack objects” the game.
- The goblin’s design is funny since his head looks like a dragon’s.
-
The music is generic and forgettable, seriously just mute it and pick your own music in the background.
-
The sound balance is terrible because the music can be at least adequately hearable. However, the sound effects are incredibly quiet by comparison.

Stronghold Crusader 2
Stop, dont go any further. If you were considering this game wether it is worth a purchase. Ill tell you right now, it is definitely not.
Its a piece of trash garbage game that was forcefully defacated unto the faces of its true loyal supporters and fan base, the people who brought you the orignal Stronghold that was beloved and missed were long gone during the unholy birthing of this atrocity.
I have played and deconstructed every stronghold and dozens of rts games back in the day and know what it was about each game that people adored and what it was that people despised.

The StrongHold series has always been one of my favourite ones, and this game at the end of 2018 like every other game of this series still is one of the best from FireFly Studios.
The core of the game stays the same - build castles, gather resources, control peasants as a king, keep their happiness and work going, train your troops, harvest taxes and money, and of course build tons of structures - there are really dozens of them, from the farms to churches, fortifications and army building; of course, given the desert/crusader setting of this game, you’ll have lots of weapons and armies too - both offensive and defensive.

Big Journey to Home
Whether it be loading the game, trying to change options, or whatever else, this game constantly gives me Not Responding errors and sits frozen for extended periods until finally catching up. Annoying enough to make it unplayable for me. Don’t have this issue with any other games. Will leave it running long enough to get cards then deleting forever.

I can live with bad graphics and nonexistant animations but the dialogue reads like it was written in another language and translated poorly to english.
I can remember playing roguelikes 15 years ago that were better than this and those were for free on newgrounds. Its still fun but there are better examples of the genre out there.

Life is Feudal: Your Own
In one sentence: After three years this game is a spectacular monument to failure.
Played this game from the time it was first released as an early access game on steam up to the current date. Over this period I experienced first hand how it was evolving and where it was going. Played on public servers as well as on my own server. At times it replaced my real life which is sad to be honest.
I really liked this game because it had lot of potential. However it seems that after every update it became worse and worse. I was hoping the devs would first adress the issues of the game in order for every asset to be functional. I was reporting bugs, errors, malfunction and hoped that with the next update it would be fixed. But no. It never happened. Instead each update brought assets to the Clusterfuck and with that came more issues.

I absolutely love this game. I am on a non PVP server and we are usually close to full every evening. I was unsure about the game the first hour or so. I’m used to Rpg’s where you wander around killing stuff to level up and craft when you get tired of leveling. This game is completely different. It’s all about building and crafting. It’a about wandering around a beautiful country looking for the things you need to make food, tools, armor, houses, keeps, weapons…basically anything and everything.

Scelestum
Played 11 hours so far and it’s worth the pick up at this sale price. Neat little indy game, caught me a few times and I’ve jumped with some of the demons and it’s worth playing with friends!

Potion Party
I received this game as a birthday gitf. My friends and I have agreed not to buy multiplayer/party games as a group, since our schedules rarely allow us to actually play something together. So, I left Potion Party on my wishlist, afraid to waste money on yet another game I wouldn’t get to play with anyone. I was actually quite happy to receive it, tho, and more so when I realized I could use the remote play together to invite others to play with me. I didn’t felt like burning my PC while playing with friends, so I’d say it’s quite fun. It’s challenging, but just enough not to cause frustration or annoyance when someone makes a mistake. You can also play it alone just fine, and some strategies work better when you’re by yourself or part of a duo instead of a quartet. It’s a great game and I’m very happy with it. 3

First of all, I absolutely adore this game.
The art is cute and it’s pretty fun to play. I spent hours playing it with my friends and had a blast.
That being said, I have an issue with the multiplayer in this game. This game is only couch co-op (meaning local) or is remote play. I had to do the remote play as all my friends that wanted to play were online, which made playing the game difficult. The game was extremely laggy for my friends and it made playing the game very challenging at times. VS mode is pointless to us, because it just lags too much for it to be fun.
