After too long in front of the computer screen, it’s time to switch on the VR and refurb the neck with PT+. I can really tell how much this helps. Are you people with “cell phone posture” listening?

This is an incredibly simple, yet effective application to help you stretch your neck. Perfect for anyone spending long periods of time at a computer.

Note: Not to be confused with a similarly named reboot of a dead franchise.

Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality

It’s fun, but if you get the black screen what you need to do is either take off the headset and look at your monitor or use the desktop button on the steam overlay (bottom left corner, icon looks like a browser window), then navigate your hand to the clipboard and choose options. From there you go to advanced, and turn off bloom. Then you should be able to see in your headset. This only fixes the game up until the tooth transplant, so before you get to there you need to make sure bloom is off, anti aliasing is off, and color correction is off. Turn on everything else and set shadows to high. Then you should be able to see in all of the surgeries and reception, but if you fail you will get the black screen again. Just repeat what you did initially to change the graphics settings (taking off headset or using desktop view in the headset), only this time you just need to choose “menu options” on the side of the fail clipboard, then choose “restart” or “exit”. Keep in mind that by using the desktop view in VR will require you to pre-position your hands where you think the button is, open desktop view, then go back in game to move your hands because, obviously when you open the steam overlay you can’t control your in-game hands. I’ve also heard that you still get a black screen when you pause, but i couldn’t test it myself because I don’t have a pause button, only an overlay button (because I play on the Quest 2 with ALVR, so I have an oculus overlay button and a steam overlay button). I read this in a steam guide and thought it would be helpful to make it into a review so more people could see it, because i know not everyone goes to the steam guide page for a game, specially before they buy it. If you found this helpful, then go to the steam guides page and support the post there too, I just wanted to add a few more details and put it in a more viewed place. Anyways, the game is fun, but keep in mind that the black screen glitch almost definately wont be fixed ever by the devs, and i don’t think anyone wants to mod in a patch for it cus let’s be real, this game is pretty dead, but i still have a lot of fun with it. I got it on sale from humble bundle, and i’d say if you can also get it for $8 it’s worth it.

It’s rare a leave a review on a game, but I would highly recommend NOT purchasing this to my friends. As many other people have pointed out, you load up the game and are just greeted with a black screen. You can work around it by taking off your headset and navigating via your computer monitor and toggling “Bloom”. However, failing an operation and opening the menu black-screens it, and once you get to the Tooth Operation, the black screen is inverted, appearing in-game and disappearing in the pause menu, and toggling “Bloom” does NOT fix this, making it impossible to continue without essentially playing outside of VR. The game has been out for almost 4 years (at the time of writing this) and it has not been fixed. It is inexcusable.

This game has a TON of potential and I really hope the developers see my review. The game looks really good but isn’t really worth a buy at this point in time.

While it might be fun for small children some of the organ systems aren’t even detailed enough for high school classes. Also some of the information is incorrect (not a doctor but my wife is) for example the lower arm bones were labels “right lower ulga” when it is actually a femur and an ulga.

For now I am requesting a refund because I cant find any information about future development but with just a little more detail, like being able to break up the different parts of the brain, I think this game could be an amazing study tool and really cool to play around with.

Wow! Game is awesome! Now, being at a distance study, students are very interested in listening to the teacher and studying the structure of the human body.I am looking forward to the next projects of this studio!

This is such a fantastic application! I don’t mess with VR too often; but when I do, I like to open this application and explore the different systems of our bodies. It’s really relaxing and a lot of fun if you love anatomy. They are still updating the application from time to time with more information and features and I can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to us in the future. Such a fantastic learning tool!

I hope they expand on the quiz system, though - I’d love to be able to take a quiz on an entire system or customize the quizzes more, as well as being quizzed in other ways than simply pointing at 10 random parts of an organ every time. For instance, an idea would be for the user to be given the description of a body part, then s/he would have to select the correct part. Another idea is for the program to point to a body part and the user would have to select from a multiple choice list of descriptions of that body part. One more idea would be to have a list of body part names (or their Latin variants) and another list with descriptions of those parts, then the user has to match up the names with the descriptions. These are just ideas, though, and perhaps other users wouldn’t be as excited about these features as I would be.

I’ve played the free version in the past and just bought this one because I really liked the free version and wanted to know what’s new and all the improvements. So far, I really liked my experience. It might not look like it when you look at the text below, but these are little bugs mostly. Overall, it’s clearly worth it. There is so much information but well presented in this, it’s awesome.

What I liked the most:

-The graphics are really good

-There are more and better animations (sometimes a bit disgusting but that is really how the body works! lol) I really liked the intestine movement and the eye

I love this game! Sharecare YOU is a fantastic game for anyone that wants to learn more about the human anatomy. I love how I can see the Exterior and Interior of organs in the human body!

The graphics on Sharecare YOU are outstanding! They also give you some information about each organ. It is overall a good game for anyone at any age to study the human body!

I use to be an EMT but educated to a doctor’s level when it comes to radiology. It is my hobby due to being diagnosed incorrectly for 5 years. So I took it upon myself to study medicine to be able to verify all of my doctors findings. I have several anatomy programs and some are really great. However, NOTHING can beat your software at all, absolutely nothing! Your pricing is so fair, even the higher priced which teachers would use. For me being a hobbyist the price is perfect. It will cause a lot of sales! I just made my purchase and happy that I did. I want to thank all of you that created this wonderful software. The quality and abilities just blow me away. I will end up spending thousands of hours on it, unlike the other anatomy programs. I give your software 10 stars out of 10!!! Thank you so much for building this, and making it so high quality, and affordable to people like me!!! THANKS!!!

Short Free experience that is more of an Ad than a educational tool

Aside from that, its pretty “Ok”.

You start inside a submarine (play sitting down recommended), then its 3 scenes, the mouth, the small, large intestines and a quick scene at the… final part.

During each part a friendly voice tells you a bit of educational talk about what happens in each section,

There are 2 short interactive parts, one where you build ammo for good bacteria by grabbing some items and placing them on their designated spots (one item being kellogs cereal), and then the 2nd part is using that ammo to feed good bacteria using a sort of slingshot mechanic that works fine.

I love the concept of this game. I believe that this is what games really should be used for instead of killing everything in sight. I want to be a naturopath and I love plants. A game like this with more time and money invested could be critical to future learning. I would take pictures of Echinacea Purpurea (Purple cone flower) Indian Pipe, Turmeric, Licorice root, and a host of other medicinal herbs, and scatter them throughout the terrain. Hide rare ones and make it more explore intensive. I love the fact that you have patients to treat. I would make it a bit more simplified for the user so it’s easier to figure out. Like “John has the flu” Treat with Echinacea tincture and then you have to go find the Echinacea and make the tincture in the house. I am playing on a computer and the controls weren’t clear, if I press escape it doesn’t give me an escape menu or anything. Little simple implements could make the game very fluid. The controls and movement already feel very clean like in minecraft, so it wouldn’t take a crazy amount of work to put it a lot more into this. I hope you keep adding to it. I have a Chinese herbal remedies encyclopedia that has all the herbs and tinctures and how to make them ect ect. Might help a lot if you want a legit medical game. Good luck!

Day One Review

–————

You walk through the forest to collect ingredients to try and cure villagers with basic items until you can pay formulas from the Merchant - which appear randomly per day. The plant items can be difficult to see at the base of trees - and I never came across things like willow bark in the wild, only sold by Merchant. Calendula and sage I only saw growing near home, and you really want them to spawn more often. Same for the beehives spawning wax slowly. Backpack space is very limited so you’re going to running back and forth a lot. I did really like that the herbal remedies were mostly accurate to real life treatments!

Oh Surgeon Simulator. It is one of those games that you will either love or hate with a passion.

This game is famous for many reasons but the main one is its controls. It makes the game incredibly challenging and it is why a lot of people are finding this game frustrating and not enjoyable.

The physics on everything is overly exaggerated. Combining this with the hilariously awkward arm controls means every movement you make is a recipe for disaster and some great laughs.

Since the original version, more surgeries were added, offering you a much more polished experience. They’ve also tightened the controls enough where the surgeries are actually beatable. Many secrets and Easter eggs were also included, my favorites being the Alien and Donald Trump surgeries that I found hilarious and fun. I’ve played for multiples hours already and the laughs haven’t stopped.

Long spoken of as myth, fairy-tale or merely the raving delusions of a mad man, an ancient and mysterious evil has awoken and proven itself a very real and dangerous threat to all in the once pleasant land of Infirmary. But there is yet hope as a band of unlikely heroes unite to vanquish this foe and send it back to the vile domain from whence it came. Play the roles of plucky Pinkie, the young but eager son of a blacksmith, Ring, the exiled princess trying to win back her rightful place as heir to the throne, the short-tempered Middle with a past shrouded in secrecy and an apparent score to settle, Thumb, the stoic and noble paladin sworn to defend the realm, and their brave leader Index, who together form the brotherhood of The Hand of Nigel, as they set forth on adventure in a world filled with peril at every turn.
