Strike Suit Zero
I don’t understand some of the posited reviews saying that this game is too hard or chaotic or bland.
The game is not too difficult, it just has a bit of a learning curve. Truly, I thought it was too easy at first. If you’re a passable shot in Wing Commander or Ace Combat or anything like that, you should be a dead-eye marksman in this. I went through the first three levels not using the lock-on function. It was only later that I discovered the game has a freaking target-lead reticle. If you cant shoot using that, don’t say anything about it because you’re a walking advocate for gun control.

This game suffers of death by a thousand cuts
At first, i was very much taken in. There aren’t many space games anymore so it was nice to have one. The presentation of the game was nice, with voice acting for important characters, and the combat was decent (even though the controls are extremely clunky).
However, after a few hours of fun, you start noticing the many problems this game has :
- Dogfighting is almost inexistant. It’s so hard to aim, you’re better off using homing missiles to blast small ships.

Only played a few minutes
I like the 4x game with Mecha idea,
but it needs a Tutorial of some sort
I have know clue whats going on
or how to play I know this game has potential
but in think it needs to go back in the oven for a bit.
Any ways not bad for less than the cost of a cup coffee

Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut
While I have experience in space shooters in general, Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut always fancied me when I wanted to try another game. Finally adding this game to my Steam library and clocking in actual playtime, does this game have the merits to be considered worthy to the genre?
The Good:
-
The music is memorable, especially when you get the title Strike Suit. Paul Ruskay of Homeworld fame does it again.
-
The graphics are nicely done, especially on higher end machines. The art style is also appropriate for this title, and

I love spaceships. Always have, always will. In particular, I love fictional spaceships blowing the snot out of each other with lasers, missiles, and giant machineguns. Among that category, I especially love small-scale dogfights between small fightercraft. The careful maneuvering. The tense lining up of the perfect shot. The inadvisable victory flourish of flying through your vaporized enemy’s debris cloud.
Problem is, I suck at it.
The venerable Freespace 2 is widely reputed to be the master of this genre, but buying and playing it left me cold. It seemed to expect that I would have the reflexes, dexterity, and coordination to be an actual fighter pilot, with the ability to juggle power systems, track objectives, use a target-lock system that was like finding a needle in a haystack, command allied wingman, find and execute a target that seemingly has no bearing on the overall battle, all while worrying about pesky enemy fighters that seem infinitely faster and more maneuverable than I am. When all I wanted to do was fly around shooting stuff, this was simply not fun. I have been searching for a game to scratch my Luke Skywalker itch for years, and with Strike Suit Zero, I have finally found it.

SilverFrame(纯白星原)
It’s like a newgrounds Flash game back in 2007 but thousand times better
The gameplay itself is pretty much what you see. The controls are very unconventinal and hard at first but you get the hang of it. The gameloop is a bit like Starfox 2. You search the grid map for the portal getting you to a new map. Random events occur everytime you move tho.
Has a lot of unlockable units and weapons now which you get as a random reward for clearing these map events.
For such a low price you can most assurely try it out at least.

Strike Suit Infinity
Strike Suit Infinity is a rare hybrid of two rather retro game formulas: the 90’s style space sim (of the likes of Wing Commander) and the arcade games that came before that, where the only thing that mattered was getting the highest score. There’s no story to speak of: you fend off wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies until you lose.
The game is very much designed with replayability in mind, with any given round being completely different depending on your setup and choice of reinforcements. While you’ll always personally do the lion’s share of the work, having your own fighter and bomber wings and capital ships on the field makes each round feel like a spectacular space battle, particularly in the later levels where you might have small fleets facing off against each other.

Strike Suit Zero, but as an arcade shooter.
I loved Strike Suit Zero; an awesome shooter with a competent plot and fantastic environments that were nothing more than an image on a background with space debris strewn about, yet still managed to look beautiful. One of the greatest things about Strike Suit was the variety in its missions and the power inherent in the Strike Suit that allowed you to overcome if done properly. You felt overwhelmed at times whilst having an overwhelmingly powerful machine that needed to be rationed in its use.

War Tech Fighters
This review is being written as of the first wave of Early Access content. I’ve finished the first twelve missions, all the challenges currently available, beat wave 10 survival (and had the #9 high score for a while, #12 as of writing this), and I’ve got my mech parts pretty much maxed for the time being, so I think it’s time I weigh in and leave my thoughts.
Firstly, let me start with what I love about this game:
-The action is superb. It’s high-paced, flows well, finishers don’t seem to interrupt the game much (and they’re skippable if that’s still too much for you), combat is fast and frantic yet never feels out of your control, and yet at the same time it plays fairly uniquely.

WTF almost comes at a hard recommendation for me. On the one hand, I got at least 20+ hours worth of content out of it and enjoyed most of it. On the other hand, the ending levels ramp up so much in difficulty that it makes no sense and furthermore, the only way to upgrade my gear would be to grind a bunch previous missons to get small stat bonuses and pitiful amounts of money. I’m using some of the end game mech configurations, but there are some other parts that could make the later levels a bit easier. Unfortunately, I’ve burnt all my money on the gear and upgrades I have now, so it would take potentially hours to grind up the resources needed to stand a chance in the later levels without dying in seconds. This immediately halted my ability to finish the game and the whole time I was wondering if the dev’s even playtested the end game missions.

IMO, the negative reviews are unfair for this game, knowing it’s priced that low.
Notice the plebs with less than 20 minutes posting their reviews smh…
I don’t get it, people expect something triple A quality maybe for the price of a cinema ticket ?

I’m a huge old-school railshooter fan, so I was really looking forward to this game… Unfortunately, it’s awful.
• Railshooter segments are lackluster
• Free-roaming segments are nigh unplayable
• Game pad control scheme is not well thought out
• Movement and aiming sensitivity are not adjustable
• Y-Axis cannot be inverted on either stick
• Evasive maneuvers are largely useless and easy to accidentally trigger
• Mech mode is slow and extremely clunky, especially when moving along the Y-Axis
• No radar, so you’re completely blind to off-screen threats — of which there are many

GALAK-Z
★★★★☆
A great, fast-paced space shooter, that feels dynamic and fresh even after 20+ hours. At first, the difficulty might scare you away, but with practise comes pay-off. It becomes challenging, but never too easy (except for the first quarter of the game). The loot system, which also seems harsh, seems to be just right, though I feel like some items should have been more expensive compared to other items. The content of loot you will find in missions are random, as well as the the provisions of the trader after each mission. This, with the randomized level lay-out and combinations of units and the challenge they offer, is what this game makes so amazingly replayable. Ofcourse, you can get (un)lucky in some situations, making it feel like it’s unforgiving at times. To me, that is a great premise of a game in the traditional sense as it is a call back to the arcade days of the 90’s.

Galak-Z is a thinking man’s game. And a thinking man who’s willing to invest time in his or her skills to fly in space.
Game is beautifully made:
1. Graphics are really well made, and the art style is retro but modern at the same time. Ship and character designs are nice homage to other space operas/shows.
2. Sound is well made too. Explosions feel real, thruster sounds feel gripping, especially when you engage your best, and voice acting is top notch. I enjoy the music because it really adds the suspense when I’m sneaking around asteroid belts avoiding enemy patrols.

Interplanetary Hunter
Arcadey Mech fighter where you have to defeat numerous enemies and bosses to progress to the next map. You can upgrade and change weapons, defenses etc. Controllers control one arm each so you can shoot in different directions, HMD controls where you look and direction you travel. Touch pad movement, I’ve played a lot worse.
The missiles need work as they look shit but all the other weapons seem ok.
Not to bad overall, the price seems ok for what it is although I received in a bundle and would suggest you buy in bundle or on sale. If you’re into mech fighters and want to fight from a cockpit then this is the better of the two I have played in VR.
