Code51:Mecha Arena

five star i give this game … it work well for VR … worth the money as well … good artwork … the AI bot system is very good for learning how to play, before you go into muiltplayer … you get four mechs to choose from at moment … much more faster movement … it not like VOX where it easy to get a kill for people with no skill … cus it slow moving … code 51 is a fast moving FPS arcade style mech game … their are pick up point to get more damage power and a way to repair yourself in game and you will need a game pad to play (PS4/XBOX 1) controllers will work with this game and to the DEV’S of this game you need to chat with people that are looking for info from you lot and you need to sort out your link to discord .. as the one you have supplied is not working now and you need to set up a system in game that allow people to set up their own matches as well and this game could work well in VR Esports … a good way to draw a crowd to this game is you could run a tourney :)

Since I bought Oculus, many VR games caught my attention. Well I just got done playing this game for the first time and had such a great time playing. It’s easy to jump into, fun plays well and looks awesome. Kills are satisfying, guns are powerful and Distinctive. This is what I hope multiplayer games in VR can build off of. This game definitely caught my attention. Well done Devs!

MekaFighters

MekaFighters

Foreword: The game is under heavy development and is very much a work in progress. It’s being developed by one person currently and will take quite a bit of time to perfect and get right! You may encounter bugs, issues, and things that just don’t plain work. Should you not be ready for that experience, please wait until we are out of early access to consider to purchase the game. Thanks for even considering to support the game and cheers!

MekaFighters is a retro-stylized third-person shooter where you take control of a Meka Rider and their Meka as countries clash against one another in wars to maintain dominance in the world. Battle out against other players and emerge victorious outplaying and skillfully using your abilities to defend, attack, and destroy enemy mekas!

CURRENT FEATURES:

  • OUTPLAY YOUR OPPONENTS

With multiple Mekas (Characters) to play as, you have multiple opportunities to outsmart your opponents using Jet Propulsion or use each Mekas Unique Active ability.

  • RETRO STYLED GRAPHICS

Inspired by retro games, we use a bunch of flat colors and try to not have shadows and make every scene in the game popout.

  • TAKE ON OPPONENTS

In MekaFighters, we feature gamemodes where you can 1v1 somebody or team up with another player and face off against another 2 players! With even more gamemodes to come!

  • EVER-GROWING MEKA LIST(Updated whenever a new Meka is added!)

    • Wendy and JICE, the Light Bringers, can shoot a devastating beam of light that passes through everything it hits and upon contact with an enemy deals some damage and if enemies don’t exit the beam the damage is increased. Also, for each bullet they hit on an enemy, they deal additional damage.

    • Sed and SAIRO, the Shadow Fighters, can enter stealth for some time and then upon exiting gain the ability to shoot a laser shadow that deals tremendous damage upon contact. Sed and SAIRO also gain an increased fire rate and whenever entering stealth, gain bonus movement speed.

    • Nika and TERA, the Earth Users, can manifest a rock and throw it towards an enemy dealing damage based on distance traveled. Nika and TERA also passively have more damage, movement speed, and more resistances.

    • Khaleed and ZHEN, the Red Barons increase their damage output for a short duration and whenever they are low on health gain additional resistances for a short time before it goes on cooldown.

    • James and JK1, the Dawning Shadows increase their stats when their active ability, Dark Barrier is ongoing. Dark Barrier places a barrier in a small area that lasts for a few seconds, or whenever a certain amount of damage is dealt to them.

    • Gerard and AM3, the Widowmakers tremendously decrease their active ability’s cooldown at a cost of increasing the resources needed to use it as well as jump significantly higher and move faster. Their active ability is a projectile that deals damage based off of how much their target’s max health is and Gerard and AM3’s missing health.

Space Overlords

Space Overlords

Space Overlords is a third person top down brawler where you control a giant robot thing and run around a very, very small planet smashing the buildings on it and avoiding trees which are apparently bad for you.

The gameplay is very dry, smashing buildings gets boring quickly. Graphics are ok but not remarkable… at least they’re not pixel graphics. $8 is way too much to pay for something this boring.

Space Overlords by 12 Hit Combo is a hack and slash type of game that does not quite manages to deliver the product desires. At first glance, Space Overlords seems decent at the beginning when you have a choice of picking overlords but unfortunately deals with a significant amount of issues. For instance, the story starts nicely but turns out to be quite generic and simple, followed by the repetitive gameplay in terms of destroying cities. Another issue I noticed was the lack of description in terms of buffs received. It usually resumes to one word which essentially you have to press and essentially guess what happens next. Another issue was the difference between overlords which is supposed to be based on stats but personally I would have never guessed due to the fact that each class seems to be the same. The game in a nut shell is kill all the buildings and destroy the attacking towers.

Armored Core Lite.

This is the closest thing to Armored Core on PC, honestly. It feels and plays like watered and dumbed down Armored Core 4. It lacks customization from AC, but gameplay loop as well as presentation (aka being hired by various Corporations that fighting each other) is very close. Story is absolute cringe and not worth discussing nor following. I can point out some pros and cons to break down the game

Pros:

-Closest thing to Armored Core on PC

-Plays and feels almost as AC4

-Had people who developed AC in dev team

I can highly recommend this game, it’s no armor core that’s for sure however the game does provided a lot of customization however most of it would be “locked” until you encounter that part for the mech or weapon type but overall the game is fun, story is excellent and characters are splendid I actually like about 3 or 4 that are my favorite that doesn’t the rest are bad it’s just my personal tastes really.

Titanfall™

To anyone that are curious PLEASE READ THIS. short summary will be at the end of this Review

Game’s been active ever since the APEX incident happened. With only some time out and PING spikes like that of the DDoS attacks, that just means the hacker himself is still preventing us from playing it but its not strong as it was when he first attacked the game. But recently there aren’t any occurrences of this issue so its possible that the hacker either laid low for a long time or he finally decided to Fuck off. Who knows.

Gonna be 100% with you chief, game is god tier. It has a lot more customization with a very good weapon sandbox. The titan customization is god tier even though there’s a god meta. If the servers worked I would 100% be playing this over the sequel. It’s just a much more interesting title with most post Gen 1 content. The addition of burn cards, better titan weapons, and overall a much better movement feel makes this title in my eyes surpass the sequel in almost every regard.

Titans: Although limited to 3 types of titans the weapon sandbox for these beasts as well as the pure addition of addons to the titans makes them way more unique and much strong choices than that of the set class system of titanfall 2. Things like the ARC cannon are good for groups whilst things like the XO-16 and 40mm are just melters close up. The fact that you can have a sniper tank or a fast moving close range specialist that isn’t limited by having a 4 round shotgun is so much of a better feel. You even have weapons for the titans that make little sense on paper but are a pure joy to play with like the triple threat. I hope in future titles for titanfall a return to form from apex and TF 2 is had so more people can enjoy building their own titans or experimenting with much more “anti-meta” builds.

Dropzone

Dropzone

So, yeah.

I’ve played Dropzone probably since june last year, when it was still in closed alpha, and over the time I’ve begun to play a lot more and to get involved in the community, which is btw one of the great aspects of this game.

So, let’s start with what Dropzone is all about. It’s kinda a MOBA/RTS mashup, but instead of say one hero in a regular mobit, you control 3 units called rigs. Each rig has 6 customisable abilty slots, Q, W, E and R (Ultimate Abilty) as well as 3 Slots for passive abilites. There is lots of gear which you can customize your Rigs with. As soon as you equipped all of your Robots, off you go to battle.

4/5 for an Early Access - I am looking forward to when this game becomes F2P, increasing the playerbase and level of competition.

If you are a League, DOTA, any top down MOBA player, who rages at their team because they are shit, and you wish you could play your role, and their role, then you will enjoy this game. Because that is essentially what it is.

Gameplay footage can be found here

Great match showing high level play. Anxiety is top 10, Zuck3r I believe is top 20.

Those that have played ZMR/Hazard ops before already know what they are getting into, its the same game, just a diffrent version that we havent seen in NA/EU before. The game is old, released first time around 2009 or so,a jankier smaller budget gears of wars. Cover mechanics, perfect reloads, fire from cover, all that jazz.

Dont expect any story from this game, its more of an old school arcade 3rd person shooter, and it can be fun in short bursts when it comes to gameplay itself. You choose a map in a lobby and shoot stuff. Several game modes that come down to 2 types in the end, small mini stories called Ops,and wave based survival.

Well I’ve been putting off writing a review but every time I come and look, I see that a negative review (from a guy who I see playing all the time) is the one getting all the attention.

It’s ZMR, Hazard Ops, Black Fire, whatever the hell else it’s been called.

BUT

You need to treat it like its a new game, because unlike the previous iterations there is many more systems added like the crafting, and maps dropping materials, and a whole lot of things that are on the way.

This game has one of the most dedicated playerbases ever, there have been people playing for years and years. But there’s a few players you’ll see every day who got burnt from previous versions being shut down, they’ll tell you the game will die soon and it’s pay to win and a whole lot of other things (while playing the game themselves).

It’s a shame when adults must be treated like children but I think we all saw this coming.

The fact that I’m writing this hear does not mean you will read it but I am not alone. Many are growing sick of anti consumerism’s and there is a price you will pay for it. A price you will pay for your actions. This won’t hurt me near as much as it’s going to hurt you.

No more money.

831 Hours, 60 FPS, 110ms ping in game. 24ms by my ISP

Trashy hit scanning (Damaging front of mech from behind and Vis Versa) not even close. Biggest issue and still current. Side look out your cockpit and watch things miss you and still do damage.

Quick rundown;

If you like stompy mech vs mech combat, get this game. If you like customising things to fit your own playstyle, get this game.

If you like fast battles where you can just jump in and play, don’t get this game. If you are a die-hard fan of the Battletech Universe and think the best Mechwarrior title is MW:2 or MW:4 Mercs, then you probably don’t want to play this game.

While still being loyal to its predecesors, the gameplay is vastly different. If you wan’t to try something different from other free games out there, then do try this game. You don’t have to have hundreds of hours put into the game to have a decent selection of mechs to play with.

Perpetuum

Perpetuum

I genuinely like this game. My standards are not your standards. All I ask is you do your research. This game does not reveal itself in your first pass. 6000+ hours and I am still learning.

Background

Perpetuum is an indie, sci-fi, sandbox mmo, with target-to-shoot combat with cover/Line-of-sight obstacles, 3rd person WASD piloting (with auto-pilot outside of combat). Player-driven market, player-run organizations (corps), open and closed pvp zones to accommodate all play styles, hardcore/casual. No griefing, no crime/punishment system.

Real player with 27299.3 hrs in game

Perpetuum has always been something of a lesser known & underrated game. Even though the old official server is no longer running, the Open-Perpetuum community project has done well to keep perpetuum online and replace and improve on features, mechanics, balancing & other things from the old server & keep perpetuum kickin in general.

The game itself graphics wise is dated but gets the job done. The game has one of the most satisfying and enjoyable combat systems for PvP in its genre with the use of terrain & this applies to all combat in the game.
