If you love mecha anime you will love this
Fastest VR game I have played so far. Basically Titanfall , Armored Core, and Zone of the Enders mixed together. All my Robotech / Gundam childhood dreams, the developer is obviously very passionate about mecha anime. Very fun and challenging, great music.

IRON REBELLION
This is the game I have been waiting for!
Since Mech Warrior and Mech Commander, I have wanted to VR pilot a mech. I want all the story boards and team overviews with in-mech VR and commander of a squad in Real time scenarios with VR command decs or carriers communicating with real time live players to enact sieges etc.
While this game is not all that, they clearly define a road map to what is much of the VR piloting of various mech classes. Currently it seems they are working cockpit operations and player interaction (but I am sure they state exactly what somewhere in their roadmap).

If you were disappointed when Hawken shut down before the Rift CV1 released and never got to play that sweet, sweet Mech combat in VR, never fear, Iron Rebellion is here!
This is truly going to be a trend-setter game. The virtualized joystick controls and easy to learn, tough to master gameplay leaves you coming back again and again for those spicy mech shootouts!
It hasn’t been released for long, so many updates are on the roadmap, cannot wait til I can make a Reaper loadout like from Hawken and dart around as a tiny speedster mech with a sniper rifle, weeeeee!

Mech Armada
I’ll probably come back and make this review a bit more in-depth (for me :p) at some later point in the game’s EA, but for now I can say it’s already a promising thing to get on the ground floor of. The dev’s got a good philosophy going and is receptive to feedback, and the parts of the game indies most often get wrong are already really crisp - the responsiveness of the UI and ability to quickly queue up moves/attacks is better than many AA games.
The bread and butter of the game is one you’ve seen before in a lot of roguelike-something games: you get offered random stuff, and try to build a synergy out of it. However, you also have an added layer of pretty high stakes tactical combat, with enemies having clearly marked threat areas and both killing and dying to your own mechs quickly. So there’s a lot of jockeying for positions, trying to make sure the only mechs that get attacked can take it, while looking to get into a position where all your synergies click and a huge chain of missile swarms annihilates all of the enemies.

Mech Armada, A Review.
So, I will give two title that might describe this game the best. Front Mission and Xcom.
Concept wise, its really like Front Mission Series. You got mechs to control in a grid, against enemy across the map. You can mix and match leg part, body part, and weapons for the mechs in your party. You could make a tank with a shield in the front and the class cannon at behind, or spamming drones and cheap mech to overwhelm your opposition. Its fun play round with the combinations.

Seraphims of Astraeus
Great mecha game with some nice customization. I was a tester for a long time with this. it is being made by only one Dev and the Bugs like the MP bug is being worked on now. You must remember this is a Early Access game it will have bugs but I can assure you all the Dev is on top of it. with that being said I do recommend this. It will only get better with time.
I will edit this review as updates roll out.
EDIT- To the people having the MP bug you must send your log to the Dev so he can Fix it!

Before I begin my review, I want to put in a pre-review note for those of you looking at the game or the mecha genre for the first time:
While I will say the game isn’t what people are expecting yet, the single dev working on this is working their ass off to get things going as fast as they can. There is a lot of promise in this game that I haven’t seen since the Gundam MMO franchises died out in North America. I’m part of the mecha genre gaming community that have been looking for the revival of the genre the way it was back when Armored Core, Exsteel, and Gundam used to stand tall as our champions in North America. I know Ayphverus can do it and his community are going to pour their hearts into helping him speed things along.

Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story
At this point, this game needs A LOT of work in almost everything aside from the story and TSF (mecha) design.
-The controls on keyboard and mouse are substandard while playing on controller makes it just bearable.
-Combat mechanics needs a lot of work as actions tend to jam when you are inputting multiple buttons or even moving and shooting for that matter.
-Movement control is also inconsistent with input at times.
-Dual projectile weapon mode currently does not allow you to fire both weapons at once.

First time I saw any Muv-Luv related media was the anime Schwarzesmarken, and I didn’t learn of the name Muv-Luv until I watched Total Eclipse, both of them being spin-offs. They were all decent, but a friend of mine once gifted me the first Muv-Luv VN game, and since then I’ve been more hooked than ever.
I’ve been excited for Project MIKHAIL ever since it was announced, and despite some of the problems it has, which I will go into, I’m very happy that I bought this game, even in Early Access. Do note that so far I have only played with mouse and keyboard.

Uragun
First things first: U are a gun indeed (with a soft, mechanical heart) and you are here to take back what was lost – the Earth. The fun part is… you are absolutely free to do whatever it takes to fulfill your goal. Not bad, right? Get ready for some serious action!
Your enemy does not sleep and you will face a large, varied roster of hostile AI machines – from little spiders to [no spoiler allowed]. It’s totally up to you how will you approach the danger. Choose your weapon sets, scavenge for additional resources, and experiment. Find your perfect combination and embrace dual-wielding!
Play with the environment, cook some deadly combos, and enjoy the carnage. Also, feel free to play with our original system called HEAT. Whenever an enemy dies, it drops a resource called HEAT and you can use it to unlock different attacks or just to repair yourself. Be careful and use it wisely!
This is not a school academy, this is a punk rock gig, an improv show! You can never be sure what to expect, but it will most likely be very fun to watch! You are here to save the day and to have loads of fun!
-
Play as a cute-but-deadly mech unit and “cook” him just the way you like it
-
Upgrade your weapons with mods, granting them awesome bonuses
-
Experiment, find your perfect combo, improvise your way out of trouble
-
Grow your mech thanks to an in-depth player progression

Dark Horizons: Mechanized Corps
I have to say I want to love this game. I still play a lot. The best part about it is building and trying out the mechs. Some of the problem is that no one is playing so you have to play by yourself and the bots are not very smart, or maybe too smart they go hide in the ocean. Every once in a while you have a great game against the bots, but not on every board.
I would like to see a board where you have unlimited ammo.
The bots would not have to be strong but they need to attack and spawn more of them. I love shooting at them. Missiles are great but you don’t have enough of them need a way to reload on the spot. Long way back to the base to reload waste to much time.

Campaign is coming along, the Faction wars stuff is cool too. New contract missions give something for players looking for Single Player missions to do.
Early Access so there’s obviously some bugs still. Considering that, this game is still pretty strong and well done. Especially at this early alpha phase. I’m a huge fan of the game so far and can’t wait to get into more battles. There are maps both big and small to allow quick brutal mech matches as well as more drawn out conflicts. I personally prefer the small maps.

Heavy Gear Assault
Before anyone plays this I’d thoroughly recommend you read the “Early Access Game - What the Developers have to say:” section of the store page to understand the scope of the project that we’re sitting on and the potential this game has to be great.
Secondly, I’d like to say that the development team has been running on skeleton crew for a long time (until recently at least) meaning that development of the game sadly to drop to a crawl speed so although yes it’s been in development a long time but it’s being handled by a group of devs who are literally doing this for the love of mecha games and seeing it through to completion through thick or thin. I think people have some sort of misconception that because it’s been around for a while it should be further along but it totally depends on personal expectations. The back-end updates have been huge and they’ve been pushing to get a solid foundation on which to build the rest of the game, which I feel they now have (despite some wonky control options cough prone cough).

Great for fans, not quite ready for new users
The quick for the tl&dr readers: Good concept, great potential, currently only PvP or PvBots, campaign to come later, UI not fully matured yet and difficult to navigate for new users, a few bugs and glitches here and there, servers not very populated.
The more detailed version: So I knew this game was in a pre-release format when I bought it. I’ve always been a fan of the Heavy Gear games and lore, so this is a fan-based purchase. I saw this game pop up on Kickstarter and I wish I had been able to be a contributor. Since I wasn’t able to, I decided to pay the $39.99 for this game here on Steam.

Mech Merc Company
So this is a first for me i don’t normally do reviews, but today I am more than willing to write one for Mech Merc Company.
So to start thing off should you buy the game?. Well that’s something you have to ask yourself do you like mech’s do you like commanding a force of mechs?. Yes? well then you will love this game.
So you are probably wondering what is it like, well you start off with 1 mech and have to get more with ai pilots.
How do i get more mech’s? you can get a mech from a mission or from buying it the first one will be from a mission as they are not cheap.

Even at its early alpha, this game is already extremely addictive and fun! Also, the dev is always paying attention to the suggestions, and bugs reported, and working hard on making the game better and better.
To be honest, I’m not fond of Western Mechs. (Battletech and Mechwarrior style) The famous “tank with legs”. I do love Japanese Mechas (Like Gundam). So I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this game so much, but I really liked its idea: Having your own Mech Company, managing your Mechs and Pilots. Commanding them into battle, and battling by their side. It’s amazing. Except the Mech Style part… That’s what I thought…

Robo Gauntlet
Fun and promising game. Even though the game is unfinished I had a blast with my friends. Crazy stuff happens when your programming goes wrong and even though I pretty much knew I was going to lose I just had to try and catch up till the very end.
