Pizza Titan Ultra

Pizza Titan Ultra

Pizza Titan Ultra Review

Pizza Titan Ultra or the Crazy Taxi/Jet Set Radio/Blast Corps of mech based pizza delivery games (I have no idea what that means tbh with you) is a game, (brilliant observation there) where you are trying to save the world or you’re just meet some random person’s odd requests while delivering Pizza or are just trying to deliver as much pizza & get as much money as possible under a time limit.

Gameplay & Level Design

Gameplay is simple but addictive & a tun of fun!

All there really is to it is a simple combat system of 3 different punch maneuvers, a stomp maneuver, a slide kick, a drop kick, & a special ability.

A VERY long awaited review for this game, but here goes nothing. It’s basically if Crazy Taxi and the robot from Megas XLR had a kid and added pizza.

The gameplay is simple enough to enjoy, but not too simple to where it’s boring. You deliver pizzas in a giant mech, which increases your amount of time for you to be able to deliver more pizzas and complete other objectives in the process. There are also yellow clock items that can also increase your time (as opposed to just delivering pizzas) and money spread around the map that can be used to customize your mech in the garage with new parts and colors. Now you might be asking something along the lines of “what’s the kicker here?” Well, being a giant robot pizza delivery service still has competition that is preventing you from achieving your goals. There are enemies that will attempt to prevent you from completing your objectives, but thankfully you’re able to fight back with a variety of different abilities; some of which you unlock in the game through buying customizations for your mech. Your missions will also vary from destroying everything in your path (while delivering pizza) to avoiding destroying anything (also while delivering pizza) to simply just delivering a certain number of pizzas. Each section has a challenge that you can attempt to complete, but it’s not mandatory for you to complete them.

BOTS

Awesome little game you can just pick up and play. No tutorial needed. Trials mode is awesome if you like a challenge. Developer has been constantly adding new features, and game modes. Perfect for those who don’t have hours to game. Can’t wait for online multiplayer (I hope it’s on the roadmap!)

It’s fun- but it lacks the depth or objectives needed to keep someone coming back for more. The robots look cool, the online leaderboard is nice, but it just needs a bit more meat.

You can customize your Mecha to your liking and make it suit your personality or resemble your favorite characters from popular culture.

Additionally, a simple graphics style allows for great performance and colorful personality in the world.

So as this game has practically no reviews I’ll leave this for anyone else who actually stumbles across this while spelunking in the dark depths of the STEAM store =)

So first of congratulations for getting here past the terrible guardian that is the STEAM games list browser, it does do it’s best to hide good stuff like this.

For £3.99 this games a steal, I’ve played 20 odd minutes as of the time of writing and while the graphics are as janky as all hell (peoples faces will give you nightmares), the animation on the alien foot soldiers is goofy as hell (they bum rush you even if you blow their arms off like it’s nothing) the plot is hilarious (Aliens invade, beat up the military AND STEAL YOUR DOG for REASONS… seriously, they straight up dog nap him,.. complete with heart wrenching dog whimpers whhyyyyyyyyyy?????) and the voice acting is… mediocre (Get some guy some Insulin and his response is “Thank you, I’m feeling much better, Here’s all my money!”… I… didn’t even ask for your money….and why are you so not bothered by the alien 2 feet from you?) the game itself is surprisingly good.

Deathroids

Deathroids

Deathroids is a great shmup which is heavily inspired by old school conventions of the genre. It plays really well and is challenging enough to keep you coming back to try to improve your score. Last but not least, it has a superb soundtrack

IT’S THE FUNNIEST ANGRY WILL EVER FEEL. Let’s face it: a shoot-them-up in space, trying to kill robots that moves extremely erratic throughout the screen, as if they weren’t bothering with inertia or g-force (THEY ARE ROBOTS AFTER ALL) and shooting at you, and chasing you and only a really obsessively assassin A.I. would do it. You gonna die a lot! (or as they say: neutralized) And you gonna feel angry and will keep trying because now it’s personal. You HAVE TO annihilate them!

War Robots: Planet Defender

War Robots: Planet Defender

I really like this game, it’s gone on my ‘replay annually’ list. When I finished, I immediately restarted to mess around with different approaches—had a lot of fun.

It’s a simple Tower Defense game to play, but there are some interesting strategic decisions in how to spend the points you accumulate. Great value for the price.

Finished the game (18 worlds) in 6h.

The tactik’s always the same, just launch all your supplies troops on the ennemis base, generate 2-3 big robots to defend yours and voilà.

Short but fun.

Colonies

A good game, as others have mentioned a save function would be great. I will be watching with interest to see where this game goes on future releases.

A bit slow paced to start and the enemy seems way to established at the start, maybe a little balancing?

The ability to scrap units and replace with stronger ones as you research would also be handy, I found myself sending weaker units on attack runs to reduce my numbers was more effective than building more housing.

I give it a solid 5/10 and will see where to on future updates.

This is a game with a lot of promise and could be a top tier indie RTS game. Even though I was taken in by the weaponized mechs and day and night features, it has plenty of features that would definitely improve gameplay and flow of combat. Currently the lack of building deconstruction and the inability to repair/upgrade vehicles makes managing your base and army a bit tedious. But I have to say the its a nice looking game at night time, your construction units headlights pop on and the buildings glow in a multitude of colors. Combat consist of rather lengthy slug fest, this is something I don’t mind, allowing units to hold the line while you build reinforcements. It’s currently at a low price and it has a nice concept which is more than what i could ask for, so I’m looking forward to see what other additions are coming in the future.

A new feeling 2D action game by Japanese indie game studio, game design by tokitamago!

This is a one-player 2D action game, but the replay data of players from all over the world collected on the server is reflected on the game screen, and you can play in cooperation with up to 100 friends! A game just like “rush hour”. You can fully enjoy the unprecedented messy and fluffy feeling of the overloaded screen information!!

The opponent to fight is an extraterrestrial life form! They parasitize insects and heavy machinery, become huge and attack mercilessly! Let’s confront with the latest weapons of humankind and the overwhelming number of 100 friends!

Ironheart

Ironheart

If not a great one then Ironheart is at least a very good CYOA text only book.

Among the positive points is the attention given to details and little choice that carry over the course of the game and give the feeling of true customization and flavour to your character. The attitude of your character also change depending on your choices and I find this very well made. The universe does’nt seem shallow, key events are very well written and absorbing and there are also some surprise here and there. A lot of choice and stats are just there to give you the feeling of CYOA games and you can feel the author affinity with the genre.

One of the best COG title I read in the past two years. Story is nicely written overall if not a bit short, very interesting concepts here mixing the Third Crusade, time travel, and Mech together. (Also if you happen to be a fan of Assassin’s Creed, you are in for a treat)
