Phos

Phos

You play as a robot colonizer that has been sent out to an alien planet with one goal. Harvest its resources and send them back home. To accomplish this you must build a base on the planet. As your base develops you will be able to build more advanced structures to harvest at an increased scale. And eventually you will be able to accomplish your goal to start sending resources back to your mother planet. But the native inhabitants of the planet won’t sit idly by as you strip their world of its resources.

Iron Harvest

Reminds me a lot of Company of Heros except not as many unit options or customizable skills.

I would recommend Iron Harvest. the campaign is good for an RTS (not starcraft 2 level of story) but compared with more recent RTS' it’s up there and not just a tutorial for multiplayer. gameplay is similar to the Company of Heroes if you like that style, there are four factions (1 dlc faction) to play as, with the mechs I think being a game highlight with unique designs, styles and gameplay for their factions. voice work is good with an option for a ‘native’ language rather than overriding polish, russian and german characters under one language.

20210819:

Tried and it’s not bad. Though there is no guidance, you could figure out the way to play this game quite soon. But I do recommend the developer to add tower, skill and user interface introductions into this game, maybe a manual button in the setting menu.

Cannot sell or fix buff tower is kinda annoying and the money quickly becomes useless during the late game play even in second stage. Finding and clicking each resource tower to collect coins periodically does not give player a comfort experience, especially when you cannot move these separated towers. A collect-all button may be a good approach.

Greetings, comrades, today I am here to talk to you about “Codex of Victory.” If you enjoy war-games with turn-based combat, you will enjoy “Codex of Victory.” It reminds me of playing the old Avalon Hill 20th century boardgames such as Panzer Leader and Panzer Blitz. The game is fun against the computer and can also be played against a human opponent in a 1-on-1 skirmish. Actually the skirmish mode is more fun as the computer mode involves a very long campaign. In PvP skirmish mode, your turns are timed and you only get a finite bit of time to study the map, plan your move, move your pieces and fire.

The game is easy to learn, you gather resources, build your base and then build crafting and utility stations. The game looks good and once you have built your first mech (scout mech) the pace of the game move a lot faster. But the game is still in early access so there are still some bugs in the game. Multiplayer still need some optimization since it has to reset a bit too often. In single-player mode, the android faction (ennemy) is not fully operational and the end game is not implemented yet. Also, if you want to play multiplayer there are not a lot of people playing the game right now (and they are mostly playing on the staging server (test server), which you can join if you want) because of the problem mention above but once the game is released out of early access people will come back and new players will play the game. Also, the developers are now working on the game part-time so it can be a while before the game is released out of early access. So, buy it if you want to support the development of the game and don’t mind waiting for the finish game or put the game on your wish list to buy it on the next sale or when it is fully released.

honeymoon period is over

I can’t recommend at this point. Communication is super bad on steam. Last patch 10 days ago and no word whats going on. It feels like a pre-alpha launch and the first patch caused more troubles than it solved. Overpriced EA. Overall the projectmanagement - especially communication - feels super amateurish. Servers are already empty and i suggest to only come back if they actually pull smth out of their hat.

12.02.2019

Patch is out. Your base doesn’t seem to diasappear - as long you don’t build around reboot time. But most of the issues are still there like empty corpses and getting stuck or the market exploits. Now and then also server crashes. With a couple hours runtime, servers are almost unplayable. Especially when lots of ppl are on which is a sign that not all mem leaks are fixed. Also fellow faction members are able to glitch through doors and steal your stuff since everybody can loot your containers.

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears:

It all started with the discovery of the Neutronium base element from a deep excavation in 2029, somewhere near a place named Main City. Neutrium turns out to be a powerful new energy that can be used to power batteries and equipment for hundreds of years. This type of energy is always useful for military purposes, and the countries that have access to the Neutrium start a race to develop the ultimate automated warfare unit. The citizens of the world take to the streets to raise their concerns, but the world turns to chaos, leading to the rise of three terrible factions. The worst of the three, the Ministry, wins the race and now controls the world with these ultimate machines of war. That is, until a rebellion of hackers plans to use the machines against the Ministry. It’s going to be Armed to the Gears!

Don't get me wrong with this review, I DID have fun… but there are several things wrong with this game. That being said... i only had like 5.5 hrs ACTUAL time played on campaign..... watched a movie with the wife and went to get more beer while the game was still running. (New Predator movie rocks btw). This game does not suck. I know it is in alpha. I want to like this game more, byt they have a lot of work to do

_Upgrading is confusing at first.. I feel it should be seperated from the turret menu_

## CryoFall

I HAVE mixed opinions with the game, on the one hand it seems to me an excellent game with very good mechanics in most cases (not all, some are grossly absurd) I like the customization of the character that is not extensive but for a 2d game it is good, a large map that invites you to discover it, but now come the negative points that unfortunately are many:

1 / some mechanics do not make much sense, things like artificial firewood logs have a relatively high cost in the early game phase for the small amount and the time they last to burn, in terms of the medium, wild creatures with absurd damage, A javali takes 1/4 of your life with a tier 4 armor, armor and durability system too short, I understand that it is a game that encourages crafting but they pass in terms of the durability of weapons, armor and several other things.

### Short version

A pretty polished game for an Early Access title. PvP are pretty much a full-fledged game at this point, PvE however still needs some late game contents. Download the demo and try it for 8 hrs and judge it for yourself.

### Long version

**GRAPHICS :** I gotta be honest, my first impression of Cryofall is not that great. The character and animation felt kind of "cheap", like the type of designs you often sees in Freemium mobile games. There's a variety of avatar faces to choose from, but they all have the same default "idle" expression. They're by no means "ugly", just a tad bit uninspired. The environmental, structure and creature designs however, looks great. You can tell the artist puts a lot of time and effort into it, plus the character design started to grow on me after a couple of hours of gameplay. So, eh. It's alright.

## FATAL ERROR - RTS

We see few rts games being created recently, just new versions of the old ones. Fatal Error came as an excellent surprise for the genre with a unique model and amazing themed. Something I missed was the opposing player's score to be able to position himself and know what the situation is.

Anyway congratulations on the excellent work!

The game is fun and reminds me of old times rts game, specially the OG C&C game. The game has many levels to play and many units to make after each lv. Its even has the lv where you start without any base but only few defensive n offensive units. The only think thats need improvement i can see is the unit movements. Its a bit sketchy but not that bad.

## Grey Goo

### Let's start with bad and work our way up to the good, shall we?

What does Grey Goo do wrong? Not much, to be frank but there are a few things that could've been made better. First off the differences between the two humanoid factions are mostly cosmetic even though there are subtle differences in how units work, unit stats and general playstyle. Particularly base building is vastly different. I just feel they could've been diversified a little bit more.

**No replay.** EDIT: Replay is now in the game (2016-02-15 edit)

### Grey Goo Definitive Edition

Genre: Real-time Strategy

Developer: Petroglyph Games

Publisher: Grey Box

**Introduction**

Grey Goo is a new Real-time Strategy (RTS) game by Westwood Studios veterans Petroglyph Games. Those familiar with Westwood would be aware of their impressive track record. As you may have already read, Grey Goo feels like an early RTS, however it introduces many new ideas differentiating itself from its predecessors. There are three distinct factions to play as (the standard number for RTS titles today), the versatile Beta, the defensive Humans and the aggressive Goo. I'll take you through my rundown of the game assuming you're an RTS fan; I'll be making a few comparisons throughout.
