Lucid Soul
Deathtouched… Those cursed with Black Dragon blood in their veins, whether by bonding with one like the Dragon Knights of Lasserburg do by drinking the contents of the whelpling’s egg at birth, or by forced feeding of a living dragon. Whatever the method, the very design of the body is altered from the inside out, all organs cease to function normally, and certain powers begin to flood the embiber.
Some, not all, are horribly corrupted in the process. Some change appearance completely, some lose their sanity like the Ancient Black Dragon, Malganon, did. All are a threat to life, however, as all must feed off the living, through blood and flesh, to live.
It’s this need to feed that starts our story and tale of Lucid Soul, the Town of Guillen is housing foolhardy humans that decide it’s time to return to harvesting the woods around our castle. Silly little things, but how can they not feel comfortable; the world has Grey Paladins with holy powers governing every hamlet, a Priestess of Medina to relay all activities to others of their order, and above all, no fear of what lies outside their walls.
This all is about to change…
Well… for you at least. I make no promises for the others destined to bleed for our Lord’s amusement. Hytwart, King of the Goblins, now known as The Enfeebler, the longest living Goblin in history, is a thirsty deviant and it is… after all… our duty to slake his thirst! Elderly, women, children, all are used to feed the ever guzzling gluttony of the Deathtouched. Don’t look at me like that, you’ll be given an opportunity few others are given: a rare gift… if you survive the trial… A pit both deep and dark… filled with cadavers and meat from ancient raids and conquest.
A singular Black Dragon Egg, relic of the last known nest of the Dark Lady, Umbryss, second concubine to Malganon… shall be your prize. Oh, and we’ve chosen others to join you in that fetid catacomb buried within our tower… Do bring an appetite, a strong stomach, and a desperate need to survive, by any… means… necessary.
And now, for a taste of things to come…
Take control of not 3, or 4, but 7 characters at once in combat, switching between them to use Soul Points with the press of a button. Take your time to plan an assault strategically or use a character quickly and often if one is your favorite… Be careful though, you never know what the others are thinking if you focus too often on one…
Find and equip Souls taken from the slain enemies you’ve created or come across. These are your treasure chests. These are your armor and swords. As you equip them though… be ware, as some like to talk… a lot.
Leveling up your Infamy meter in this world will result in an Ability Tree selection for a character, and when you choose, their story will have a direct impact on the skill you select, resulting in you having to participate in their story to learn the new ability. Erzbet may ask you to help track down a violator of hers, Synella may be on the search for a sister or an appetizer, and Creep may be hunting down a mutinous crew member that resulted in her fate. Their stories will take place in the world around you, and you will participate.
Melee weapons and attacks, will only do so much damage, from the start of the game, to the end. It’ll be up to your creativity with contaminating enemies with your Black Dragon Blood, and how to use your skills properly, that will let you move swiftly from fight to fight.
Customize your home base of operations, Castle Wyrmsgate, with the aid of the Fleshweaver to change the surroundings and make them more suitable to your personal tastes.

Eiyu*Senki – The World Conquest
Let’s just get this out of the way… yes, this game contains anime tiddies. Lots of them, even, and assuming you spring for the ‘Director’s Cut’ patch from the developer’s website, they’re even uncensored! But the thing is, this game would be thoroughly worth picking up even WITHOUT the anime tiddies, so I will be reviewing it as if it didn’t. Cool? Cool.
You ever thought about conquering the world? Don’t lie. Most everyone does, as some point. Games like Civilization offers you a chance to do it, too, and in a fairly realistic way at that. Well, this game throws ‘realistic’ out the window and instead drops you into a fantastic world somewhere in the middle of a big ball of timey-wimey stuff, where every nation is led by a handful of legendary heroes and rulers from throughout its history. Start by unifying the warring states of Japan under your benevolent rule - something that has taken up entire games on its own, but in this case basically serves as the tutorial - and then go from there, expanding your reach across the world-map as you strengthen your economy and recruit legendary heroes to your side. The fact that the various characters you encounter lived centuries or even millennia apart matters not at all!

I will start by saying this is the first long review I have ever written. I am not the kind of person that only plays JRPGS or dating sims so I might be a better voice for those that aren’t otakus but let us get right into the pros and cons:

Dead But Alive! Southern England
I love visual novels, and love zombie games wih resources and group managing. And so I really wished I could recommend this game but I really can’t.
The first biggest issue, is that the game is short or incomplete. While is not uncommon games that have are launches as only chapter 1, this one is sold as full price complete game and not advertised as a chapter 1 of a story or work in progress. You can finish the game in one sit in a few hours (5-9 hours gameplay I would say, even less if you rush things) and there’s a bug where you literaly skip a part of the story straigh to the end, may you want to do it or not.

Awful game.
I don’t normally review games I haven’t completed but even before I ran into a game-breaking bug I was completely fedup with this game.
It’s just an appalling mish-mash of zombie survival + visual novel.
The characters are stereotypical and lack depth. The conversation is stilted and boring, oftentimes with different people saying the same line at different stages.
The text explaining the survival bits where you weigh up and embark on different resource runs is poorly written, boring and repetitive. There’s so many elements that just seemed half baked, like key survivor health levels. Or the fact one of my group kept begging for a new kitchen, despite that fact that when I got it I never used it as it was far more cost effective in resrouce time to go scavenge food! Anyway, the consequences of running out of food or making too much noise never materialise either so you can forget about worrying about that new kitchen!

Venus Blood Frontier International Version is the first in the Venus Blood series to appear in Steam and in English. It is a Japanese Electronic Visual Novel with Gameplay. There is another entry in the Venus Blood series, because it is a series, but both of them belongs to the same genre. You can say that it’s a game of the hen with a tie genre.
Venus Blood is a turn-based strategy game where you assemble a bunch of contracted fantasy beings into your legion of darkness and destruction to battle against the forces of Gods and Demons in the floating continent of Yggdrasil. With your army, you must conquer the four lands of the 4 seasons in Yggdrassil before storming your way into Valhalla. With each region conquered, you will be rewarded with a goddess or and a demon to fulfill your destiny for conquest!

I was anticipating this game heavily since the English version was announced and it didn’t disappoint. I was never very much interested in the kind of erotic content it offered, but was rather attracted by the premise and morality system in it, with tons of choice on how you approach Loki’s quest for power. Even stripped from 18+ content, it’s a rather captivating, mature game to a large degree carried by its protagonist: a demon who had to abandon his sense of justice and compassion in order to survive in the brutal reality he faced, and to gain strength to fight those that wronged his family. Loki is an intelligent and ruthless leader that can very believably evolve either into a full-fledged villain or into a sympathetic anti-hero that will bring the world back into balance, depending on how you steer him.

Bastard Bonds
Don’t get me wrong: I know what it looks like on the surface: an adult dating sim with rpg mechanics. But trust me, it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!! Unbelievable depth in characters, worldbuilding, lore, and story, with complicated interactions and moral implications, this game stunned me with it’s intricate depth and detail, all against a backdrop of incredibly gorgeous pixel art and digital portraits!
-So, out of the way upfront: Yes, this is an adult rpg with some lgbt themes, made by a well-known lgbt adult artist. That said, it is largely not a factor in gameplay, most scenes are minimum T-rated, and the sexual content is not very explicit at all. I was actually surprised with how little sexual content was in game to proportion to how much gameplay and mechanics there was involved, and honestly the sexual content is so light and non-intrusive that it was almost never a distraction from the story or gameplay. Yes there is some light pixel nudity in some of the character models and monster skins, but much of it is de-emphasized in favor of focusing on plot and gameplay, feeling more like fan-service addons. I loved how, despite having such great art, the game creator was dedicated to creating a solid game experience over inclusion of overly-gratuitous sexual content.

TL,DR: Tactical RPG that doesn’t do much hand-holding (the tutorial really could be improved), has R-rated graphics even though they’re not the focus, but can really draw you in, reward you for tinkering with the skills, and even grab your heartstrings if you read into the lore, character and world interactions you can find in the levels. Common turn-offs: Pixel art, nudity, turn-based, sexual innuendo, lots of combat, implications and mild descriptions of heinous crimes.
Combat: 8/10. Turn-based, a little predictable at times, and there are some areas you can cheese enemies, but quite solid.

Sunrider: Liberation Day - Captain’s Edition
Whelp, that was a fun ride. Quite a bit has changed from MoA and after playing through what is apparently now known as 1.0 (2.0 being a planned update that will rehash the story ending and bring back some lost MoA features) I can safely say that as a strategy RPG title, Sunrider stands loud and proud.
Our hull is holding! - The Great:
- Alot of MoA’s clearly specialised ryder craft didn’t actually have alot of specialization behind them apart from raw stats. LD changes this a bit by giving your units a few upgraded and a few more completely new abilities that really set them apart from each other. Where as in MoA it didn’t reeeeaaaalllly bother me if a unit was knocked out of action, now in LD I can really feel the set back as I lose an entire front of strong counters for my recklessness in the form of a single loss.

Well, this was…a thing. As the third game in the Sunrider “series”, Liberation Day has left me quite conflicted. The series as a whole has done much to transcend the boundaries of traditional visual novels, for better or worse. So it only makes sense that I write out another long-winded review for such a complicated game, right? Here goes…
Remember Mask of Arcadius? While classified as a VN, most of your time with this prequel was probably spent in the turn-based space battles. LD does the same thing, though the battles are more balanced and interesting. All of your crew from MoA is back and better than before, including new abilities and upgrades for a more diverse strategy (especially for Kryska, she’s great this time around!). To compensate, there are some interesting new enemies that require a bit more planning to manage effectively. Also, upgrades and purchases now have separate currencies, which makes customization significantly more interesting. Command points are now capped, but since you get them from each unit you defeat, you’re encouraged to use them more often, instead of merely accumulating them for the final missions. With everything factored together, I think the difficulty of LD is roughly the same as it was in MoA, as I alternated between Captain and Ensign difficulties depending on my patience. Now that it’s said and done, I think I had more fun with the battles in LD.

Magical Girl Noble Rose
I wouldn’t recommended this game if you already into these genre of game (H-RPG stuff).
BUT, if you have never play any type of these game before and you REALLY like the art AND have plenty of money to spare, AND IF YOU really like the art, I’ll probably say go for it. (“to play this game you need to” download a patch for rated content. It could be found in community tab in some comment, probably.)
For my verdict try not to believe it at first, it might taint the experience having a bias toward negative. (kinda like spoiler but not a spoiler? If you just wanted to have fun mind as well just skip this part.)
