Cyber Agent

Cyber Agent

CyberAgent. Review.

The game has three different genres in one place.

Neon light styled plain shooter with tactical elements,

2D novel with comedy dialogs to cheer one up,

3D animation (If supported by good graphic boards,

the game delivers good model design and gliding movements.

If the computer system in general is low price,

then 20 frames and lagging).

No problem with the in-game mechanics as far as seen.

Good music. Simple menu. Low price. Alright.

Entertaining for those who want to have a bit more variety

Incredible adults only game! It surprised me when it went from 2d dating sim to 3d fully nude dancing girls in a nice looking 3d cyber punk city environment. The 2d dating sim parts are nice and can go fully animated during the sex scenes. Honestly I like everything about this game from the way the girls boobs jiggle when you use a special ability in the main game which is a really cool turret defense game. I love the cyber punk dubstep music and the 2 main girls. I like the story line and multiple outcomes of the dating sim parts. LOVE the nudity and sex scenes! I love how easy it was to 100% complete the game and get all the steam achievements, and I like the steam trading cards art to! tl;dr its like cyber punk meets a hentai dating sim with a turret defense minigame!

Good, definitely better than previous game.

Better gameplay, however there are few mission that seems either rigged or favored, for example for almost every last mission of getting “boss” you will get infinite amount of deployment points and the rigged part is when you play hard mode the AI starts to summons faster more than you can deploy.

I don’t know what’s the differences between playing hard or normal other than this factor.

The H-scene seems redundant, specially the story line, while it exist, it really have no value of progressing the story you can choose whatever you want, and it will get the same results, and there is one girl that have no independent scene.

The game mechanics are similar to the previous game but expanded. More units, more upgrades (gems), secondary heroes with passive bonuses, primary heroes with additional passive bonuses, lot of missions, more battle modes (big battles too) and more women. This is both summary and a list of positives.

More girls mean the attention both in story and scenes is spread more thinly. Some of them appear more often than others. The supposed “main interest” Ah Cy is not that great compared to other girls (my opinion).

NEOMORPH

NEOMORPH

NEOMORPH is a decent enough game.

The game is very cheap but it does not mean its a bad game. The gameplay is very simple: shoot the enemies trying to crash into your ship. The game has 8 levels and an endless mode. However, the game is not that hard and it lacks some kind of element to keep you fully engaged (you can basically play it with one hand if you are paying attention). One thing to add is that the game is like superhot in the sense that time is slowed unless you shoot, which makes the game become fast paced untill you stop firing.

Very very very mediocre shmup. Also, it’s not up but static and enemies coming to you and you are the entire wall on the left… so, it’s probably even more mediocre tower defense. Well, no reason to describe this any better. There are literally 2 types of enemies + armored versions + rockets and nothing more. Power ups, with sole exception of Z, don’t stack. When you are not holding the attack button time slows down and you can pick whatever you want or… do another shot. As a result the best power ups are C and L since they have the highest damage and you can spam them non-stop by clicking the mouse… is it a clicker now? In the result this turns from shooting enemies into avoiding picking up “power downs” and wait for them to turn into more Zs since with that you can just hold attack, relax and let the game play itself for a few seconds. Ah, right! You also have 3 abilities which can shield you, clear the screen or shoot more bullets, but you don’t really need them when you can spam the hell out of the most powerful gun. But they are a nice addition and can save you in case you pick something useless and suddenly can’t kill things fast enough.

Freedom Defender

Freedom Defender

This game sat in my library unplayed for 18 months because I though it was just going to be a tacky, novelty joke game. It’s actually very well made and a lot of thought and effort has gone in to it. The music is particularly good.

Other than being a Lane Tower Defense it is nothing like Plants vs. Zombies. There are 35 levels which can all be done again in New Game+, 7 Mini-Games and Survival Mode. Throughout the 35 levels the goal is to prevent the Hexicans, Burubs, Commies and Aliens from crossing your border. There are a lot of different enemy units and units to battle them with however you are restricted to only picking 6 at a time and I found myself pretty much sticking to the same ones.

Well, what can I say?

Young me played ‘Plants vs. Zombies’ (a game which you can find as a comparison / reference in 90 % of the reviews here, since it was / is the most popular tower defense game) when it was published years ago - and I loved it. Then, I tried out Freedom Defender after a recommendation and my long lost love-feelings for tower defense games have immediately been evoked once again. I loved every minute of this game.

I can say, that it’s the best tower defense game i have played in the last couple of years.

Endless Love

Endless Love

Endless Love is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template and changing a few things. In this case it was a game construction kit/template for doing a simple jigsaw puzzle with less than a handful of low res images of Manga art girls. The “developer”, Rosa Special Studio, has done this over a dozen times now:

  • Sweet Halloween

  • My Sweet Ants

  • Mystical Lights

  • Cute Girls Love Books

  • Otaku Club

  • True Spring Love

Hero by Chance

Hero by Chance

TL;DR

In its current state, I wouldn’t recommend Hero by Chance. I completed the game after three hours of gameplay on the Hard difficulty setting, and then played around with the different combinations of troops and powers for a bit. Was I challenged? No, not really. Was I rewarded? Well, a little bit. There are better games out there, with better gameplay, and better rewards.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

Where a lot of these “beat the girl, get to see some b00bs” games tend to overlook the gameplay, Hero by Chance actually has a good game mechanic. You fight the general of the enemy army by sending out troops from your base to their base. Take that base down, you win. They try to do the same. The resources needed for these troops slowly trickle in, so you have to manage your resources. You have one for the summoning of troops, and one for the summoning of powers. Beat a general enough times, and you are rewarded with sex scenes.

Première partie du test en français, second part in english.
