The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut

It’s a good game, closing in on great. Story is really good, graphics is decent or even good considering it is pretty old(you can’t pull of Witcher 3-graphics with a EE) and the background graphics, like the sky in Murky Waters, are really good. The combat flows well for being somewhat turn-based, it feels odd at first but past the Prologue you get the hang of it. The way you gain skills when leveling up is interesting but in the end get to many low and mid skills, there is not much chosing to do.

Ok, I like this game.

First, if you play this game, don’t expect a AAA experience; you wont find it here, even by 2008 standards. You also find that good voice acting in this game is scarce, but the voice acting is overall passable. Combat will feel wonky when you start playing, but one you get used to it, it will feel pretty good, to the point where you may actually prefer it over Witcher 2’s combat (I know I do). Unlike the Witcher 2, this game doesn’t feel watered down because consoles; this was a PC only game and this was all CD PROJEKT could muster at the time. The first chapter will feel pretty mediocre (although you wont be there long) until the end of it and the swamps in the second chapter will make you want to stop playing (and you will be there a while and you’ll be there several times), but other than that, the game’s areas are pretty good. In particular, I liked Chapter 4’s areas the most. Game graphics are both good and bad; environments and some character models are well done, while others just straight up look cursed. This game can go for less than £1 on sale, so there is no way that I would say that this game isn’t worth it; because it is worth it. It also sets Witcher 2 up well and potentially nets you some slightly better equipment for starting that game, which is useful if you play the Witcher franchise on the hardest difficulties (Hard, Dark, Death March!). Oh, and make sure you stock up on Swallow in this game; it’s kind of essential.

The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt

There are games that are beautiful to look at. Others of immense depths in gameplay or story. Some have amazing soundtracks and sound design. Few can boast to have all of the above. Red Dead Redemption, Halo CE, Mass Effect 2, Borderlands 2, Divinity Original Sin 2, etc.

Although the Witcher 3 doesnt have the most profound gameplay (a weaker point in that regard, but in no way a low point), it has all of the others.

If i were to write an in-depths review, i’d need hours and hours and obviously, more than the 3000 characters allowed. So i’ll cut to the chase.

I got to this game rather late, and had honestly written it off as bad due to the…short comings of the previous two games. Having now played it however, I can say that it was worth it, and largely enjoyable. Mechanics, while not perfect were a vast improvement over previous entries. The narrative was honestly fantastic. The various methods and means to defeat monsters, and the difference in difficulty between running in half cocked or just taking a few short moments to plan and prep were great. It’s failings are fairly simple and not entirely surprising.

Everlasting Summer

Everlasting Summer

Everlasting Summer is a well written Visual Novel. I find the multiple choice branches to several alternate story lines and interesting endings make it a cut above most VN’s. It has existentialist { &/or multiverse } aspects, bringing to my mind Luigi Pirandello’s {1934 Nobel Laureate} play “Six Characters in Search of an Author”.

The “hidden” stories and screens in the alternate story lines add a lot to the enjoyment of the game and bring many hours of gaming enjoyment. I have found the game to be quite interesting and, as a ”Free To Play”, it’s hard to beat the price.

Everlasting Summer is a free-to-play animesque visual novel, created by Soviet Games.

The game has a pretty standart gameplay as far as visual novels go: there is a static picture that depicts your current surroundings, character sprites are placed on that picture, you read dialogues, sometimes you get to make a decision. There are few notable exceptions to that rule, but this is generally what you would expect from the game.

Everlasting Summer is extremely story-rich, one playthrough has an average span of seven in-game days, each day takes aproximately one-two hours to read through. There is an average number of 5 decisions to make per day that do have an impact on the story (so much there are actually 13 endings to discover). On top of that, ending of Day 5 and the following days are completely unique to the ending you’re heading to. You will have to play through all of them to discover all secrets of the story.

As we all know, kidney deficiency is a very common phenomenon in male health care. We must pay more attention to it at ordinary times. We should regulate our diet and living habits. Then, what can a man eat for kidney deficiency quickly?

Cute Honey 2 is a game where you draw a line and try and get water to fall into a cup. Some of the levels take a fair amount of trial and error to get through, though there is a hint option to help if you so choose.

The interactive gallery is what you’re paying for and for the most part, and the girls are pretty hot. I’m all for glasses and cat ears, but the interactivity and the looping animation in it is a bit annoying. I like saving off screenshots and I find it’s very difficult to get good ones; whether it’s because the girl’s eyes will be closed when her cooch is visible for that 1 second or the huge cursor is in the way when you get a snap of the money shot. I just find the whole thing cumbersome. Also, for those that care, trading cards take an unreasonable amount of time to drop … a total of 9 hours for a game that has about an hour of content.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.

Is this game a masterpiece? No, certainly not. It is still an interesting cyberpunk adventure with some shooting, stealth and hacking.

In the near future, everyone wears an implant in the head, but your implant is different. It has been modified without your knowledge, and it seems that someone wants to kill you because of that. You have been working as an unimportant employee at Securtech, and you obviously got this experimental chip as a guinea pig. All your colleagues who also got the experimental implant have already been eliminated. What a nice coincidence that the person who designed the experimental chip, the busted CEO of Securtech, also has a little problem atm, and needs your help. Maybe you two can help each other?

An atmospheric cyberpunk shooter with interesting comic book aesthetics and a pumping soundtrack. Gameplay feels a little repetitive but the story is short enough to keep your interest.

Join gulman in his gulventure in this revolutionary shooter. Gulman must save the artifacts of the world as he kills terrorists and solves mind boggling puzzles. (example of hard puzzle: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/387533107344965633/569444681369518080/unknown.png )

The Artificial Intelligience is immensly smart, able to put up a fight against any player while their amazing voice acting will make you think its a real combat scenario. The intense fights should remind you of classic shooters such as Masked forces, Arma and Doom. The amazing graphics look like photos rather than a simple “video game” like the competitors.

LOVE! TRUTH! PUZZLE!

LOVE! TRUTH! PUZZLE! is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template and changing a few things. In this case it was a game construction kit/template for doing a simple jigsaw puzzle with less than a handful of low res images of Manga art girls. The “developer”, Rosa Special Studio, has done this over a dozen times now:

  • Sweet Halloween

  • My Sweet Ants

  • Mystical Lights

  • Cute Girls Love Books

I’ve long been entrenched in the visual novel scene and Japanese culture, but Korean culture is something I have little familiarity with. So it was with particular curiosity that I went into Some Some Convenience Store, and to see their take on the medium. After playing through the whole thing, I’m happy to report that it’s a really nice VN. My personal score would be a 75/100. To go more in depth:

In terms of assets - character illustration, backgrounds, UI, music - it’s all great. The character artist is especially good, and the portrait art and CG illustrations are gorgeous.

Pros:

1. The plot of an app that helps you get into relationships (romantic, friendship, business) is an interesting concept, along with the app being a part of the gameplay acting as an indirect guide on how you’re doing is also a neat feature. The Some Some app also applying itself into the story is great to see, as not only does the protagonist sometimes has his disregards about the app, there are some developments throughout the story that bring more light to what it is.
