Poker Hands
Smart game, mixing poker with logic puzzle.
Good to spend time during quarantine.
Nice cards design and soundtrack.

edit: the april 9 patch fixed some technical issues, so I edited the review to reflect said changes.
poker hands mixes the matching mechanics from games like 2048 with the rules of poker. move all available cards at the same time and try to create hands (5 cards) according to the goals displayed in the top right corner. pushing cards against walls merges them, but you can also use incomplete hands to block, as you can’t merge two hands of 3 cards, for example.

Solitaire - Cat Pirate Portrait
So it’s just normal solitaire. It has a cat wearing a pirate outfit as its background. The music is awful so it gets turned off anyway. This is my “play in the background while I’m watching TV or avoiding adulting” game. It really just is bare bones and mindless, but a cute spin on the basic version…because…pirate cat. Plus it’s really cheap…I think I may have gotten it as part of an extremely inexpensive bundle, so maybe wait for it to be on sale or look for it in a bundle deal if the price is scaring you away.

I can’t stop playing this game. I have “one-more-turn” syndrome.
Okay let’s get right down to it. Yes this game is bare bones, just one background (of the pirate cat!), though it does have two differernt deck face choices. The old normal one (with numbers so tiny I can barely see them!) or a new set of suits that I’m still trying to figure out can and can’t go on top of another card. Thankfully, when in doubt just click on a card and it will automatically go where it can. Or you can click, hold, and drag if you want to be old-school.

Cards & Crystals
This is a little gem of a game (a gaem?)… the match-3 slash card game mechanics are seamlessly executed and the pixel art is really charming and cute. The humor is on point and it seems to be a lot of lore sprinkled through the cards description. All in all it’s noticeable this is a game made of love and really really fun.

Cheerful card game with a rather brutal streak ( Heck, the AI admits it’s cheating in one conversation… . ) a few bugs, but some of them are pretty fun. For example, re-drawing the same card from your deck. Which is absolutely hilarious when it’s a damage buff.
Plenty of cards to unlock, heroes with different skills, and plenty of interesting challenges. ( What happens when your opponent is using your deck? Why, fill it with garbage or cards to help you, and laugh. )
However, it’s not for the easily frustrated, as the AI will shamelessly bust out a row of huge chains on a whim and squash you like a bug.

Zombie Solitaire 2 Chapter 2
Another good game in the Zombie Solitaire 2 series. I must say though, that this one was my least favorite. It seemed harder to make combos and money was hard to come by. But that did make me play much more strategically and use my power up cards wisely because I might not be able to afford them the next time around.
I did miss the little text adventure games found more abundantly in Ch. 3. Also there are no zombie fight matches yet, those are introduced in Ch. 3. There is the addition of combining certain objects at certain intervals to move on. The match 3 puzzles are still challening in this one, with certain ones I just had to give up on or play on casual to get through.

Zombie Solitaire 2, Chapter 2 is a take on the classic spider solitaire genre in a post apocalyptic scenario. In spider solitaire, you must complete a board by matching cards of any suit, one up or one down from your drawn card. This is a casual card genre that adds strategy and depth by creating complicated game boards with extra mechanics. Mechanics are mostly locked cards – cards that are locked by chains for example and need a machete to be found, OR cards that are protected by birds and need a bird deterrent to be shot. They’re pretty simple, but add a small layer of extra strategy that you need to think about. You’ll want to go for your special items first, to open up as much of the board as possible and chain those c-c-c-c-combos.
