Puzzle Plunder
This pirate-themed game is colouful, fun, and above all - addictive. You have to gather buckets to bail out your ever sinking pirate ship, all whilst gathering swords, rum, and gold in the usual match 3 setting. You can spend your plunder on special bonuses for your pirate ship, and loot drops unlock increasing levels of abilities such as increasing the value of your loot or the efficiency of your bailing crews.
The interface has that stained treasure map feel, along with brightly coloured icons which make the game really pop. Click response is good, and the multiple combos give you a moment to regain your compsure before the action starts again. The soundtrack music is just divine and smoother than a mannequin.

Simple match 3 game. It’s a bit slow in response. Made on the cheap by i hope a beginner game dev. As part of a simple match 3 game you would expect a mechanic to be there to ensure you don’t fail your game due to the board having no possible matches on it. The dev’s solution to this is a button to manually end your run instead of waiting a few seconds of being unable to do anything until your game is over (you have to match buckets to reduce water in your boat, once the bar is full you sink/lose)

Wasn’t what I was expecting, but it’s not too bad and can be addicting. Works on Triple Screen.

A fairly standard match-3 game, but with nice music and really good graphics in the cut scenes where you get to find things. I think it’s good for younger players as well as those looking for an easy time waster. The rewards are nice, and come frequently enough to be satisfying.

Captain Backwater
Pretty fun little puzzle game so far, I’m about a quarter of the way through. Only drawback I see is there are no targets for the number of moves so you don’t really know how well you did on each level. You can replay to beat your own score but it would be nice to have some indication of the minimum number of moves required to complete each level. I recommend but I got this in a bundle for a buck and a half. Doubt I’d recommend it at the 8.99 price.

## Armored Xpress
Armored Xpress is a new unique story-driven Match 3 game built with rich RPG elements.
Embark on an extraordinary journey with Armored Xpress Agent 117 and MECH as they set off to deliver a top priority package all while fighting dangerous pirate gangs hired by the villainous "Defiant BOB", who by the way has put a bounty on the package. To traverse through Sector 2 a region on the planet Entriga, the Armored Xpress Company felt it necessary to implement a more protective measure. "MECH" an advanced military grade delivery robot which can be equipped with an array of weapons and items allowing agents to defend against hostile threats. While delivering packages you can choose to help the towns people through various side quests which can unlock special rewards.
In combat Armored Xpress MECH uses energy from supply crates that are matched during play to power its weapons and systems. Weapons are available to fire at specific power levels with a maximum of 4 levels. You can strategically fire each weapon at will or wait until they are at their maximum level. This strategy allows you to reserve a weapon or unleash all the weapons at once for a truly devastating attack. Each supply crate matched with its corresponding color in groups of 3 fills the matching weapons power gauge. Supply crates matched with more then 3 of the same color generates a special care package crate. When broken these crates drastically boosts the corresponding weapons power gauge. Items and other abilities are powered by MECH's ability gauge/ABG system which fills over time. Sequential matches in a turn generates a combo which fills the ABG faster allowing you to use abilities sooner.

## Match Three Pirates! Heir to Davy Jones
Its a pretty straight forward Match Three game, Honestly nothing special UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVE PIRATES! The story line is a little lackluster and could be improved upon (more story points in general as the story parts seem to far apart) but it keeps with the Pirate theme and helps to keep you immersed in the game. The visuals are pleasant, and nothing to scary for younger children nor to childish for adults to enjoy.
As you progress though the game you earn "Skull Coins", used for buying temporary in level boosts, and "Gold", used for buying ship upgrades which are permanent/always on boosts. ** TIP: Replay some of the completed levels that earned you lots of gold to buy the ship upgrades faster. **

**match three pirates** is the developer's second attempt at a match-3 game, the first being [gems of magic: lost family](https://steamcommunity.com/id/dohi64/recommended/970030), a masterclass on what _not_ do do in a match-3\. based on that I didn't expect anything good here, and while at first I thought I was wrong, the proverbial cat eventually crawled out of the bag.
