Love Fantasy

Love Fantasy

TLDR: This is a very good game at a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend the base game.

There is also free 18+ content if you choose. Some of it was fine (expected), and some of the content was not something I would endorse (abusive or potentially non-voluntary).

Overview:

Love Fantasy is about a nerdy guy who lives with and talks to his cat. He is magically brought to a land where five goddesses rule. They need someone to help them defeat a force that is destroying their land. Since he volunteered to be their hero, in varying ways they all fall for him romantically. This is obviously trying to be a documentary.

Good Gameplay, can be a solid challenge except this game has an auto win feature button so you can pass the levels if you find them too hard. Well drawn characters with a good story/plot although the text speed is a little annoying. The game is good to pass time and for other…. ahem “things”. The characters animated stance adds a little more character to them with the only downside being the poor drawing of the male protagonist understandable as they are not the main focus of the games, the lovely ladies are but as someone of who wants a well drawn main character, then I was slightly disappointed. The game is a basic match-3 type game making it easy to understand but it does offer a tutorial at the start and allows for separate save files. The story has multiple endings and good H scenes. I’d say this game is a solid 8/10 overall with the best features being auto-win to skip to the “special” scenes and the dialogue choices that can affect your game play in a positive or negative way.

Metropolis: Lux Obscura

Metropolis: Lux Obscura

Match-three games like ‘Candy Crush Saga’ are not my thing, especially so many of them seem to be freemium games nowadays. Somehow during one Steam Sale, ‘Metropolis: Lux Obscura’ was recommended to me. (Perhaps it’s from my playing the ‘Deponia’ games.) Being a fan of noir, and that the game received decent reviews and was on sale, I decided give it a try.

‘Lux Obscura’ is a mix of match-three puzzle game and choose-your-own-adventure visual novel. You play as Jon Lockhart, a former prisoner who tries to get back on his feet in the seedy part of Metropolis. Your decisions will affect how his story develops, leading to one of four outcomes. Along the way, you will get into fights, and that’s where the match-three puzzle comes in. By matching up tiles, you execute attacks or heal yourself. In that regard, it’s a bit like playing ‘Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo’.

SHORT REVIEW

Metropolis: Lux Obscura is an adult-themed visual novel with match-three combat and multiple endings, in a stereotypical film noir setting.

The visual novel part of the game is presented stylishly in a sort-of animated graphic novel format, mostly using a greyscale colour palette with occasional vivid colours for effect (most often red). The art is of variable quality, but is mostly good. Animations are limited, and mostly look pretty terrible. The match-three part uses large icons that are original, but seem a bit out of place with the rest of the game.

From my time playing the game I found quite a few bugs in the menus.

The actual GAME was fine, but with the menu so messed up it was unplayable on my mac laptop (the mini windows just refused to open!)

If it DID manage to get into the game it had sound.

On my PC desktop meanwhile it had the mini-windows but IT had no sound for the dialog!

This was EXTREMELY frustrating and no bug-testing would fix it (not even downloading or undownloading the leweder DLC)

If the game is under a buck and you got both a Mac and a PC- and are willing to re-play it on both (4 times on your mac blindly clicking if you want to hear all the voice-lines for the female path and then male path. But you’ll probably start playing on the desktop where you can actually see the freaking menus and change your difficulty)

I will say, when I saw this pop up in my recommendations for it being a furry game with tentacles, I was very intrigued but didn’t know what to expect. When I saw it’s only $2 and had some positive comments, I figured “Can’t hurt to try it.” After having played it and gotten some experience first, I will say it’s really fun for the puzzle game aspect.

The art is really nice, the characters look good, the dialogue is a nice mix of comical and serious to fit the situation, I do like the clever use of tentacles attacking and matching the puzzle pieces to do damage with your magic attacks. It is a little on the short side, but I’ve already seen mention more content is planned, so I’m glad for that. Patch or otherwise, it’s a nice looking game and pretty fun for what you get.

There is already a much better version of this game called “Mirror.”

Compared to that game, this one is just plain, boring, and simplistic.

The match three is subpar. The upgrade system is jut a process of tediously replaying lower levels and farming the cash up front, then stroll through the rest of the levels. There is no bonus to progressing prior to upgrading and buying all of the spells.

If you follow this method, you can beat the entire game with all achievements in a couple of hours.

Story and mechanics

The dialogue is somewhat camp and somewhat funny. You can tell the protagonist is a wise guy. After a brief introductory scene, you find yourself in a page with a Neko girl, Rena. The other girls you will meet appear as locked icons at the top of this page. Rena is your first contact and there is a brief Story written on the page. This “store” page is how you access each girl, do upgrades, select when to go to battle, choose to read (and reread) story Chapters, access the CG gallery, or leave the game (return to title screen).

Highly Recommended! I am so impressed with this game. The publisher is clearly aiming for the top of this genre.

As much as I respect Mirror and Wish as games that set the standard for quality in the Hentai genre, their Match-3 game play is unremarkable. Happy Quest adds something unique to Match-3 style play by using the location of matches on the board to attack specific enemies outside the grid on the field.

It took me a few hours to finish the game and hit all the achievements. The gameplay is particularly good, and the H Scenes high quality. The story element in the H Scenes was TL;DR, but I am a very fast reader so even speed scrolling it I could see they put serious effort into it. If you like a like little bit of a steamy visual novel in your R18 scenes you might like this. I’ll eventually go back and really read it, just for the sheer effort they put into it.

Hell Girls

Hell Girls

A great game THAT HAS APPARENTLY BEEN ABANDONED WHILE INCOMPLETE!

The game is easy on the eyes, and the Strategy is fun. It starts out way too easy

though, and I got through over half the game without failing a single level.

Eventually, it gets tricky, and more interesting, but shortly after, it practically

promises more levels, but almost two years have gone by and no new levels!

In the forums the developers say there will be new levels “in the near future.”

That was also two years ago as of this writing.

My entire steam recommendations feed seems to be anime from playing this one game now… oh well, time to embrace it.

Hell Girls is a link & match game with a hefty dollop of anime fanservice on top. It’s casual, it’s got terrible, cliché dialogue and the desperate attempts to add sexual overtones just made me giggle and facepalm a little. But despite that all sounding negative… it actually works. It’s fun, it has an up-beat fighting style soundtrack, bright colours and quite a bit of content. The opponents are reasonabley varied, and each does have a skill that makes you play a little differently. You have three characters and you can choose between them for most of the maps; with a few maps being locked to one specific type. You can choose their spells and upgrade them, and there are a few outfits that get skimpier and skimpier (naturally, who doesn’t go into battle in their underwear or a bikini) but do actually make a difference to gameplay.

Have you ever just wanted to have a lady that takes care of you when things go wrong? A lady that cares about you and your feelings, and will never let you go? Well, if so, then this is the game for you! The protagonist of this game caresses you just in the right way so that you will never want to turn back from her. Every time you do well and make sure to gift her all the right gems she rewards you and makes you feel reallll good. Trust me. Once you get into it, she will keep sucking you back in, and will never let go of you. Sometimes I feel like she is trying to possess me but in the end I respect her with all my heart because I know that she is the one for me. The one that can live in all my fantasies without breaking a sweat whatsoever. If you want a lady who knows how to treat you in the way you want whenever you talk to her, this is the game for you. 3

How many Russian games are there on Steam?! I’m starting to think that half of my games are Russian.. xD

I don’t know how to judge this 1€ thing.

LSD should mean “look so delicious” in the developer’s words (he meant “looks” maybe?).

There are 73 achievements: none of them are gaming related.

They will unlock by pressing the required key. From A to Z, the numbers, F11 and F12 and so on. I was somehow astonished by this thing, I mean, I have played lots of games with random achievements but literally none of them are related to the game..

Just a casual match3 game that gives you 3 mins to complete each level. If you’re looking for nude anime, go look somewhere else.

Pros:

  • Simple

  • Nice visuals

  • Great quality at its price point

  • Most background music is relaxing

  • No leaderboard. You just have to beat your own high score (not suitable for those who love competition)

Cons:

  • Misleading title

  • Cannot be paused or quit the game while playing. You have to wait until game over or Alt + F4 to quit

  • There are some annoying heavy metal background music which cannot be skipped

At the time of writing this review, I have played this game for 1 hour and some change, and have gained all the achievements (345 out of 345). This game is a mindless match-three game.

Character designs are two ladies that lose clothing as you raise your score. If you are into that, this is good.

Game play is not much, it is a match-three game that lacks a real umph. Most Match-Three games have a few extra features or fun, or a story that plays when you advance. This game is just level to level.

Update

The game is now finished and you can completely undress the girls without any hassle in the last chapters. Thank you developers.

This is a Match 3 game with a bit of anime sexy conent. At the time of the review, the Story Mode takes about an hour to do and there is an arcade mode where you go for achievements which I have not yet finished after 3 hours. The game is ok, there is nothing wrong really with it, it’s just if you are ok paying 4 euros at the moment for 4 hours, although it is still in early access and I hope they add more content.

It’s obvious that this game was intended to be released on the Atari or an 8bit console. They keeped the original music which loop every 15-20 seconds. They probably changed their mind when the see the PC and the tablet uprising in sale.

They upgrade it nice. Standard puzzler. 100% portable code from the Atari version.

They really think and added nice features that Candy Crush removed long time ago like you are forced to still play all your turn even if you have enough point to pass the level. DLC are included. Kind of features that are really missing in new games. Ha! Old School gaming!

Waifu Hunter - Episode 1 : The Runaway Samurai

Just beat the game in a little over 2 hours, in its current form (27th of Oct, 2018). It’s a little short and the match three format is rather simple but it works okay. The game’s not too hard and it was rather easy to beat. There’s no hentai, just nudity.

I will re-review this when the full version is out.

EDIT: full game still not out in May 25th 2019. Can’t recommend.
