Affected Zone Tactics

Affected Zone Tactics

This is one of my favourite free from top view games in which , all the players are moving in turns and there are 2 teams in total and all are real players !! Your objective is to capture checkpoints , or kill the entire enemy team! Before the one of the teams has reached the max points needed for win! By capturing the most checkpoints before your enemy team! So there 4 classes in total Assault ( standart human soldier) , Heavy Infantry (Real combat robots who can carry some heavy weapons , and they have the most armor of all also) Commando ( Thees are the human specialists class , who can shoot from the most distance if you choose sniper) Fire Support ( humans who can use same weapons as heavy assault the most heaviest weapons) With all thees weapons you also , get all kinds of adventages and disadventages! With Assault can use submachine guns(best against commandos),machineguns(burst down your enemies),and granade launcher (who can launch granades at , distances and deal some splash damage) Heavy Infantry can use Machine Gunner (Same) ,Grenade Launcher (Same),and the last weapon they can use are napalm

ALL COMENTS AND RATINGS PRIOR TO 2016 SHOULD BE IGNORED

There are reviews prior to 2016, which are mostly negative and describe stuff, that I didnt notice in this release. Here is a review of a game, that came to steam one week ago.

  • it is a turn based strategy online game with researching stuff for your soldiers

  • the game is completely in english

  • it is not easy ( since rank 3 you will suffer even against npcs)

-YES, you play against npcs very often, because atm there is not enough population, even though the game deserves it ( the npsc have names of offline players. Sometimes you spot an online player, whom you recoginize by a yellow star next to his/her name

UPDATE:

We’re nearing a year without official servers (the game trailer says it’s 24/7 OFFICIAL servers), in my eyes, that’s false advertising. Secondly, the last blogpost (which I consider as the last time the dev has said anything in response to this game) was in 2016, in fact, September of 2016.

There’s also broken parts of the game that make the game unplayable, specifically phantoms. You see, phantoms are unique in the sense that they are essentially replicas of any mob in the game with few exceptions. This is what the “real” grind of the game is, to essentially “catch them all”, something you can’t do unless the server is running v1.73.3 - the last version where phantoms were not broken.

NEStalgia

This game is a game I have dreamed about since youth, an MMO RPG with Monster collecting. With steam flooded with subpar JRPGS, NEStalgia is a diamond among coal. Whether you play in your own world with friends using the super simple server hosting or you play on the Official Multiplayer Server this game is fun for all.

Pros ~~~

The Official Server is by far one of the best thing about this game, being able to connect with people anywhere at any level is fantastic. The community for this game is wonderful. Everyone is helpful and pleasant. Not only can you PVP, and party up to PVE, there are several other multiplayer features that rise NEStalgia above others including a players market, guild creation, private local world guild and party chat, daily events, and much more.

Darkwind: War on Wheels

Darkwind: War on Wheels

So much time wasted on this game.

I regret most of it.

I remember installing this game for the first time years ago. I didn’t know about Mad Max, nor did I even try to get informations on Car Wars. I have now played a couple of single-player campaigns of Car Wars, mostly for getting the hang of the game. I’m an Interceptor/Road Warrior/Fury Road fangirl, so I thought this game would be cool.

The only way I can describe this is: it will get worse the more you play it, in every literal way possible. I take breaks, but I end up returning here, mostly because there is no other Wasteland RPG about car combat worth of playing (they’re mostly all about stupid trashy races and senseless pewpew, nothing near Interstate 82, and we all know that game is old and hard to get working on today’s systems) and so I come back here from time to time.

All in all, Darkwind can be very fun to play but without any future content or bug fixes, I can’t recommend the time investment or to invest any money into the game. Don’t expect to just hop into the game and understand the lobby or interface without asking questions in lobby chat or researching. Most of the veteran players are very friendly and helpful so don’t be afraid to chat them up if you do decide to give it a shot.

If you just want to play for free, you have nothing to lose. Only real limitation on free to play is you are stuck in Somerset, the beginning town. My guess is you will find this game entertaining for about a month or two of daily gaming if it is your cup of tea. If it isn’t, you won’t make it much farther than the tutorial before you uninstall.

Dragon Blood

This game is semi-afk with plenty of dailies and hot events. It provides lots to do from dungeons, quests, side quests, and an active rpg/level/gear system also a multiplayer tower and guild war. Although it clearly has several in your face pay to win elements it is incredibly entertaining as a second screen game. It also has retro style mini games such as a coin drop with magnets/bonus time/bombs and a treasure hunting mini game with active elements and a roulette wheel. Highly recommend to play on a free and casual basis. Top lvl at time of posting is lvl 43 with Battle Power 13k. I am lvl 31 with battle power 5k non vip. Just play for two hours and see if you enjoy it. Chers.

I like this game because you can afk farm like in many other mobile games. So you can leave the game running while you do rl or other stuff.

At this point however it is getting absolutely ridicoulus. Not only is this game the absolute pinnacle of P2W, its almost P2Play, every 5 level (from 179) you unlock another thing that costs premium money (which you only get by paying) everyone of those LARGELY increases your power.

You literally need 100s of dollars to even have a chance to do the activities ingame, because of this the player base is also very small (~300 players).

Infinity Heroes

Infinity Heroes

Infinity wars is a unique take on card games. it’s simultaneous turns is a new twist in this genre.

I personally found a lot of enjoyment from the strategic elements, the lore and the art work is of really high quality, and I don’t think some of the old reviews reflect where it is now in development. Alot of the old issues have been bug fixed since I have joined the community.

Also the team behind the game is very active and hosts tournaments for money if you are part of their patreon. You can have access to the development team on their discord, and while community is budding it is also very active.

I’ve wait for this game for some time. After playing IW for a couple hundred hours, I was disappointed that it had to come to an end. The turns, factions and mechanics really captured my love for CCGs. This new version is a condensed version of the main mechanics of the game. Your attack, defense and support zones are present and turns happens simultaneously with initiative making your effects and actions happen first (this can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your strategy). The revamped mechanics and zones makes it different enough, I see lots of potential once things get rolling. However, there could be some balancing of artifacts and certain cards as well as a more unified and decisive interface. I hope to see other IW players on in the future.

WAKFU

WAKFU

Terrible. I’ve been playing it since the beta. Apart from the weird gamaplay and mechanic’s decisions which is another big (but subjective) minus, the app is completely bugged out. You see people complaining about bugs at beta and these bugs are still there at the 5th anniversary. Multiple times their database glitches out leaving you without gear, throphies, costumes, materials and other stuff which took weeks to acquire. Best you get - some silly gift from Ankama as a “compensation”, other times you’re just completely being ignored by support.

Real player with 1267.9 hrs in game

Wakfu is a tactical MMORPG unlike any other MMO except for its prequel, Dofus. It has play style similar to Final Fantasy Tactics where combat takes place in a grid.

The character classes (15 of them) in Wakfu (and Dofus) have unique play styles and the classes themselves can be played many different ways.

The spells have a variety of rules, and positioning makes a big factor in damage dealt/recieved.

The art in this game is very charming. It’s very pleasing to just look at the content in the game.

After careful consideration, and 1500 hours so far into this game, I feel that I am more than prepared to write a review. I AM NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT, I JUST LOVE THE GAME

Pros:

  • If you played this as a kid, it is the exact same. It has some expansions, and added gameplay, but overall it is still the same base game that I played as a kid.

  • The game gives plenty of content and you could be stuck playing it for hours.

  • Compared to most games the community here is pretty chill.

  • There are many side attractions from the base gameplay (pets, houses, fishing, etc.) that are pretty fun if you get into them.

Before my review i would like to explain some things…

This game is P2P, If you buy monthly subs you will get all access to areas. This is the only payment you have to do here. Like big games such as Ultima Online, WoW etc. This is also have subs.

This game isnt P2W. In PvP Arena items are only get by arena points which you will only get from making PvP.

In PvE, your crowns will just waste. Because there is some item schedule as far as i remember like;

at 60 you will get your class set from Waterworks

This game is a disaster, Poor Stability, Resource Hog, Majority of players Hack, Developers Scam you, Most retarded Customer Support in History!

Let me putit this way… Pay to Win, Pay to do ANYTHING, if you dont pay every day you wont get anything,, they scam you off purchases with hidden fees that cant be wavered, STEAM wont refund any money you are stupid to putin this bogus game.. So all in all. Expect to hack the game to get anywheres… hell its better on facebook.. Yup its a facebook game.

Well, I gotta admit, it is quite a casual game. It kinda plays itself. The only thing you need to do is to fight half-naked harpies and gather juicy rewards. However, I like this feeling of such fast moving character progress. You start like a blind little kitty in the world, full of demons and seductive women, you are terrified and lost. 10 mins later, bang! You are receiving new cool powerful mount! And when i am talking about mount, I am not talking about stupid boring horse. I am talking about freaking blue-ass wolf! It is cool, it is blue, it gives bonus to your stats, it makes you feel confident and calm in your decisions.

Elemental Heroes

After a few hours of playing it, I’d say this game is pretty fun, quite fills a gap in the era of turn-based strategy games. This is almost only about battles, so if you want a game where a dense series of few-minute battles follow each other then you will like it. On the other hand if you want something with complex quests, story and game world then this game is not for you.

Pros:

  • it loads & runs quickly even on mediocre hardware

  • simple to learn, no complex game world, limited number of unit types

Its definitely a Disciples type of game, but needs more sounds for the characters. Seems that every enemy (monsters or humans) sound alike when attacked =)

I like the game. I love trading and pressuming inflation / devaluation in this game. I enjoy fighting challenging deities and leaders. Harvesting and crafting. Diplomacy in-between guilds. Fair system with very very low advantage for those who pay. Communication and recruting new players. Exploring maps and figuring out the best way to find or steal treasures. Friendly (but stubborn design lead - Ozymandias) developers. Preparing for each patch, which delivers something new. Funny name changes devs do (Baby Shocker, Legendary Crown (for a common item), Post-toilet Huppo). Cooperation on the guild quests. Well-chosen music. Doing some levels and then realizing you want to change your group composition and put in different fighters. Hardcore and non-hardcore syngergy.

Heroes is a a tactical turn based strategy rpg with mmo like features set in a fantasy medievel background and tries to be a throwback to old school rpg/adventure games and a danm good one at that.

My time with this game has been thoroughly enjoyable. I got into the game not really knowing what to expect but quickly became obvious i was in the presence of a small hidden indie gem.

The combat feels great. Very tactical and deliberate. If you try to rush through you will have a hard time. So in order to be enjoyed you will need to invest some time getting aquainted with its mechanics. Not that hard to do and there are always helpful people, be it in guild or world chat to help you in that task.
