大江湖之苍龙与白鸟

大江湖之苍龙与白鸟

The 11th year of Shaoxing in Southern Song Dynasty (1141 AD)

The Song and Jurchen-led Jin Dynasties were divided by the Huai River. The north of the river belonged to Jin and the south belonged to Song.

Song ceded many of its prefectures to Jin and paid tribute annually.

With even its emperor announced by Jin, Song became a client state.

Now, ten years has passed. Despite the seemingly peaceful relations between Song and Jin, there have long been turbulent undercurrents in the world of Kung fu.

The martial arts world is full of chaos, with numerous heroes standing out. Among them, there are the Four Wonders overshadowing all the others, named ‘East Shu’, ‘West Bo’, ‘North Gu’ and ‘South Po’…

[Classic pixel-art RPG for Chinese Martial Arts]

This is an SFC/MD-styled-pixel-art game. In-game scenes were inspired by Song Dynasty’s ink painting style, this game depicts an original traditional Chinese martial arts story, which takes you back to 1990s, the golden years of classic RPG games.

[High level of freedom for exploration]

With reference to the real ancient river terrain, we designed a huge map containing Jingzhou, Xiaoxiang, Bashu, Jiangdong and the central plains. Countless sects scattered amoung the map, with ancient towns and labyrinths. There is no fixed route. Go wherever you want and explore the world at your own pace.

[Multiple story plots, routes and teammates to meet and experience]

Experience stories with over 10 thousand words in text. Meet with different people along the journey; prodigals, talents, officers or bandits. You can choose to enjoy and relax in this world with friends, or work hard to gain the ultimate power. Choices are up to you.

[Many sects for martial arts cultivation]

There will be Sects to enter and hundreds of scriptures to learn. Sword, broadsword, staff, fist, palm, finger, dagger, musical instrument… Each Sect would have its own strengths.

Different attributes may end up in forming completely different KungFu sets, withover a dozen martial arts routes for you to develop.

The free trial version is open, add to your wishlist if you like it!~ヽ(∀゜ )人( ゜∀)ノ

It took me a little while to get used to some of the most exotic pieces, but once I did, the experience was delightful!

It’s just fun to cut through enemy pieces while admiring the cherry blossoms in the wind!

This game is the beginning of a new epic, in the short 16 hours I have played it all I can think about is where this story could go, and where it will take me. Playing the base game was immersive and wholesome to say the least. From reuniting a family of strong warriors to fending off a tyrannical empire, it is a rollercoaster of emotions that leaves you wanting another ride time and time again. And thus, Plus Mode offers to suffice until the next leg of the journey is developed. With new loot, harder bosses, and a dense lore to dissect. I can not wait to begin another adventure with these lovable characters and delightful soundtracks.

Excellent RPG with heavy influences from old school JRPGs such as Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, Suikoden and more. It pays homage to the games that inspired it but never gets too heavy handed with the tropes. Pixel art is excellent and the world is beautiful and alive. The combat system is standard RPG fare and is smooth and accessible to the player.

Only issues would be to make sure you have an SSD because I suffered major framerate drops because of my HDD loading speeds. However, this did not impact my review of the game. It was still playable.

Always punch the shark.

I’ve been playing this game since the Prologue, and now that a 1.0 release is on the brink of the horizon, I feel compelled to try and convey the experiences I’ve had playing it.

The gameplay captivated me from day one - it was a great mix of positional and situational tactical battles with the additional layer of board-game-style deck management. There’s also some route-planning to consider, but it doesn’t weigh too heavily on the course of your runs - EXCEPT when tackling Daily Play for score maximization. A full run takes about an hour to complete, and you can finish the game much faster with experience.

Basically, it’s the Elevator fight from Captain America: Winter Soldier. As a card game.

I generally hate card games. I also generally hate rogue-likes. So why have I played so much of this game? FiTS unexpectedly became a big favourite of mine because it actually alleviates a lot of my issues with both

Card games often feel abstract and inscrutable to me. But here the rules are clear and concise, and applied to a concept that you can visually see. You can make so many attacks or moves in a given turn (tied to your “momentum”), and heavier or more esoteric moves can take more time, allowing you to do less per turn.

This is a really solid little early access tactical turn-based shooter. The graphics and audio are both pleasing and the combat and crafting are addictive and satisfying. I do wish that the gameplay was quicker and more difficult though.

All-in-all, for $13 this game is definitely worth it. Check out my full review here!–-v

Opinion and conclusion**

Overall, I find the combination of Early Access and RPG a bit difficult. Because you usually play through RPGs only once because of the story and a later re-run after Early Access is rather unlikely. I would prefer internal beta testing and a proper release here.

Power Pushout

Power Pushout

Power Pushout is a turn-based strategy game with martial arts elements set in an epic asian environment. Choose your warrior and master figures and fight with them in a wild battle over the control of the game board. You can either push your opponent off the ground or conquer the opposing towers to decide the game. But be careful that your enemy doesn’t sneak past your troops like a ninja and usurp victory.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Defeat your opponent with cool finishing moves, sword assaults and kung fu kicks are on the agenda.

  • Choose your warrior and master figures, and combine their Power Points to destroy your opponent’s pieces.

  • Use the included map editor to create your own Zen garden. The smart placement system helps you get results quickly under full control.

  • You can trigger Earthquakes or add Super Crystals to surprise your opponent.

Super Crystals provide your character with extra power or a greater range of movement.

  • Power Pushout offers you four different game modes:

    Classic, Normal, Destruction and Football.

Each mode can be played online or locally versus a friend or an AI, which is based on machine learning and smart heuristics.

Most exciting demo I have played for a very long time. Highly recommended if you are into games like Slay the Spire or Into the Breach. This game has so much potential but I do have a few concerns.

Pros:

  • fighting has a puzzle-like aspect to it, planning your move order really matters

  • great art style and animations

  • some potential for different builds and deck styles

  • it’s very fun. the fights themselves are more entertaining/satisfying than the fights in Slay the Spire, and can occasionally even tell little emergent stories (like the incompetent gunman who kills his whole squad by accident.)

The design concept alone is enough to give this game a try, particularly because it’s a free demo. Unlike so many tactical, turn-based combat systems which put you in the shoes of a typical fantasy, sci-fi, or modern miltary role, Fights in Tight Spaces put you in a role that we’ve seen in hundreds of movies and games, but (at least to my memory), don’t often get the chance to play in a turn-based format: That of the close-quarters martial arts master. Your Jason Bournes, John Wicks, Bruce Lees, Batmans, etc.

This is my first review ever so bare with me.

I have 20 something hours on this game , i have beaten 4 BOSSES and i own 2 suffering souls so far.

I love the hard orientation of the game and the way you learn to play it.Some of the BOSSES mechanics testing my patience but i love that part to.

The graphics , the atmosphere and the music are absolutely captivating.

Lastly from impressions i like the “find yourself” strategy for each BOSS and how you manage to “Find " suffering souls.

What i would like to see in game is:

To be honest this game is definitely not for everyone. If you would like to get into this game you have to spend a lot of time raising your understanding. The reason why I recommend it though is because it is actually a decent game. Probably 80% of beginners will stop playing before they get past black belt just because they feel very restrained by what they can do. In some ways this is true, but the limit to what you can do is many, many times greater than what people (beginners) think. Watching the Tori Legends as you first open the game can make you feel discouraged as you can’t even do a flip properly. It can takes YEARS in some cases to polish your skills to that level, and even then you may still not be able to do as good as you hoped because this game really depends on the mindset of the player. The physics of this game are difficult to understand and get use to. At moments you feel that you’re flying way to high to do your tricking/sparring or that your body just got 20x heavier and stopped half way through a flip. You need to understand every little effect that each joint does. People (beginners) really underestimate most of the joints just because they are not skilled/experienced enough to use them properly. This is what changes the effect of your physics and understanding of situations. Suddenly your flips and and hand spring landings are getting smoother, faster, and lower to the ground. Your vision of how you see your joints and shadow are completely overhauled. Your arsenal of moves are multiplied to an unimaginable number. You see improved and more efficient ways of overcoming a landing or counter that didn’t seem possible when you first started. Eventually you steadily become a pro at visualizing foreshadows, predictions, and problem solving. You never really realize how much you improve because it almost always felt with you.

Let me get right to the point and say I love this game. When I first started out about a year ago I felt like a toddler learning to walk, and I admit, it was a bit frustrating. Then I turned to Youtube. I learned a few basic aikido and judo (two different mods/game modes in the game) opening moves and from there my results sky-rocketted. I was flooring noobs left and right until I got to the intermediate level where (most) every player had a rudimentary understanding of how to move in the game then it was fairly evenly matched and I quickly got over myself.
