There’s something about it. the fighting style and technique is well done. I like the soundtracks the most. Looking at the ruins you feel like a part of it.

This game has a lot of potential but it is overrun with bots and there is nothing being done about it. Bots have been an issue from the start of the game and all it would take is a few minutes of active attention on each server per day to identify them and ban them. Even if you dont get them all the first day the numbers will dwindle quickly. Normally you could just play around the bots but these bots are actually taking up the most valuable resource in the game. This resource can either be mined, received as a quest reward, or purchased. The resource is used in over 90% of all crafting, enchanting, upgrading your character in anyway, etc. The bots are able to teleport, and knock you off of the resource without actually damaging you. This wouldn’t even be ok if they did damge you so that you can kill them and get your resource back, because there are so many bots they are programed to have one knock you off and another take the resource that way you cant kill the one who got your resource. Even if you do kill them, they can resurrect and teleport back to the node in seconds where it should take them several minutes to get back on auto run. Another issue is that pvp is so heavily punished in this game that if you kill a bot that was there just to take your resource and not damage you, then you end up suffering more because you can no longer gain xp at full value. Thats right, the pvp penalty effects your growth as a player which is another thing the bots dont care about as they are just after the resource. Once you gain negative propensity because of killing a non hostile bot you are then freely targeted by other players while you try to get rid of the negative propensity. The penalty for killing one none hostile bot is -999 propensity which means you need to kill 400 monsters within 5 levels of you to get back to getting full xp again.

Typical auto-quest game with tedious quests to repeat over. Traps to pay at level 30 - 40.

So many hackers ruining game-play across all servers.

I’m few days into the game and here’s my take on the above.

At level 30+, you will face the problems of having no slot to keep all the important items.

I think this is deliberately designed so people would have to pay some bucks to buy more slots to keep all the items. It becomes very annoying to progress if you don’t pay for extra slots.

At level 40, if you are free-to-pay, you will experience super slow down in quest completion as your starting gears (with free-to-pay upgrade along the way) and stats improvement started to hit the bottleneck. The time to complete each quest becomes 2x-3x and the story quest also become much harder. Yet another trap for you to either go back to auto farming materials for a long time to get a rare item or pay to buy “blue rare starting sets” at the cost of $29.99.

So with someone who has across 3 different accounts 35040 hours in total played. I think I can leave a pretty fair and simple review.(These are my opinions so please respect them even if you don’t agree with them)

Pros:(See Below)

1.The game is nostalgic(Its been around for about 15 years since it started on Acclaim)

2. The game has something for everyone(you want story line Road to Dragons and Road to Karma etc) You want to pvp go to the Yin Server, you want farm(do dungeons and kill bosses) You name it this MMORPG has it(Except Guns….guns=Chikung so yeah you get to shoot your life energy #fuego)

9 Dragons is a free to play MMORPG. Starting out you first have to select which server you want to play on Yin which is a full on PVP server, or Tao which still has PVP but its limited to certain maps. Next you are able to create up to 3 toons per server per account. In general it is best to stick with either all Male or all female toons, because you only get one storage space that the 3 toons will all share. That way your clothing and decos will be easily interchangeable between your toons. Once you have created your toon the adventure begins. When you launch the game you find yourself in ancient China. (Ming Dynasty I think) starting out in a place called Bamboo village. Your journey allows you to choose a Clan and eventually role within that clan. There are Black side clans, and White side clans. Choosing a clan locks you into that side for wars and various events where the winning side gets special bonuses depending on which side wins. Within each clan the roles you have to choose from are: Warrior (Tank, melee), Stratigest (Healer), Chi Cung (Nuker, Ranged Attacks), or Holist (Hybrid). You advance through this world by doing quests and gain experience and items from defeating A wide array of opponents and bosses. When you level your toon it opens the ability to better your character by increasing stats and masteries. Choose wisely on how you build your toon, and what things you master should depend on the role you have chosen. In addition the game offers the ability to craft items and refine items making them stronger and boosting your toons abilities. ALl that is just barely starting to scratch the surface of the game itself. I would highly reccomend this game for anyone. Happy Gaming everyone

I’m going to comment solely on the feel of combat since IMO that’s the most ‘make or break’ factor in a PvP game. As of writing this review the game offers 4 classes, 3 melee and 1 ranged.

The ranged character uses a bow and its pretty typical of what you would expect from such a class. Mechanics like projectile drop and needing to lead on a moving target respect the physics of shooting an arrow but they’re not overly difficult as to become aggravating. You can play back and aim your shots or you can get close and spam arrows, its a good mix of skill & spray-n-pray.

First off, the Devs have worked really hard to get this game to where it is now and it shows. When I had my first few games I had expected broken mechanics or obvious inbalance of the classes. However I was pleasantly surprised that they have a very strong foundation in place.

All 3 classes play differently with their own unique style to learn and bring out the fantasy that they are known for. Easy to pick up and learn but also some depth for those who want to truly master their classes mechanics.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT

Holy sht this game is fun. During a clash, You breath, you lose. Each weapon and each hero have counters either trough positioning/witty timings/picking or utilizing other weapons.

Do not believe to what people say that X is broken/OP. Everything have a workaround specially if your’e skilled on wits and proper positioning. You panic, you lose. Do not panic. I cant count how many times i managed to turn the tables on a fight and it felt so satisfying.

Pros:

1. Unlimited combo possibilities to the point you get your own combo personality

great game.

i would prefer if everyone would deal a bit less damage to make the fights last longer…

Espacially a few weapons. But the new duo mode feels way better than trios. You can fight 2 people but 3 was just to hard in my opinion.

I played the game for over 200h now and i don’t understand why people say the queue times are long. A few seconds up to a few minutes if it’s early in the morning or late at night.

And why are people complaining about asian players in the reviews? It’s literary almost the same as playing agains people from EU or NA.

I feel like I should have spent more time with this game than I did before writing my review previously.

I have taken more time to play this on my own and at a friend’s house and I have a really different feeling right now.

Graphics -

I did have qualms on the character models and animations previously. I thought they didn’t mesh well with each other like they looked modeled with really different direction. I thought the animations were stiff and awkward.

After some time looking at everyone a little more, I do see a cohesive nature that actually does tie the majority of the cast together aesthetically, bar two. L.exe and Originelle. I think they could use some work with a re-design, but they really don’t fit.

This is a high thumbs up from me. I’ve played some matches online (with a friend who bought the game with me) and played a bit of the arcade. The online was rock solid for us, no lag or dropping out so far.

Before getting to the positives (paragraphs below, it’s been by far mostly positive), I will mention the obvious about early access titles: it’s a work in progress still and some things don’t feel quite ready yet, otherwise this would have been a final release. This is, of course, true at the time of writing this for Mighty Fight. The quit menu doesn’t always work (I used alt+F4 to exit because esc didn’t bring it up) and the arcade mode is not yet saving progress, assuming that’s intended for the final release. The online worked very well during the fights for us, but the menus weren’t clearly telling us who was selecting what character and level. Most importantly though, the Strikefist ai is way better than me, and this needs to be fixed! (/s I eventually won).
