Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues
It sure is nice to have a new beat em up to play. They don’t make too many of these anymore. I particularly like the tie in to the excellent Cobra Kai netflix series. Unlike the show, don’t expect this to have any good writing (save for the genuinely funny one liners that the characters have after winning a fight). This is purely a fighting game, one that is clearly a loving homage specifically to the Streets of Rage series. It’s both better and worse than Streets of Rage 4, which I’ll get in to later. Everyone you run across in the street from hippies to mothers to emo kids are all inexplicably out for your blood, which is funny in its own regard. Sometimes characters will provide humorous meta commentary on this. Every character of note in the netflix series is either playable or is a boss in some level. Cobra Kai has fire powers while Miyagi Do has ice powers. Tone wise, it’s far more light and irreverent than the show; it does not take itself seriously in the slightest. Some might find this off-putting, but subjectively this works quite well.

Loved the Karate Kid movies when I was young, I did not really follow the Cobra Kai series but I’m guessing it’s as cheesy as the movies, if not more. There is no lack of cheesiness in this game, that’s for sure.
Beat ‘em Up games also give me those nostalgic feelings of back in the day when I used to play games like; Golden Axe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV, Fighting Force, Double Dragon and Streets Of Rage to name a few.
Graphically, I can’t say the game is gorgeous but it also didn’t really bother me that much. It actually made me think of another Beat ‘Em up “Double Dragon Neon” , a game which I couldn’t get into.

MMA President
I really like it. It combines Dana White simulator with train fighters to be super stars games. The only way it could be better would be to add fully animation fights to watch. However, you can’t change the name of your fighter, “max default”, unless it’s the name of you as the org owner. Not sure, it a bit unclear. Regardless, it’s a lot of fun if you like mma sim games.

This game should have no problems, alright but it has so many that its ridiculous.
Pros:
-
never had it crash
-
scheduling fights can be fun if you want to spend 10-15 minutes on trying to make the best PPV
*hiring fighters and staff is super simple and takes no negotiations whatsoever.
Cons:
- After 2 years in game the booking begins to have problems showing any months ahead making it impossible to book in 10-12 weeks time which is recommended when you just start
*Repair game works for a little while but cant fix the above issue.

Taekwondo Demonstration Team Simulator
You get your money’s worth just for having access to all the poomsaes being executed by these cool characters.
The game itself is actually overly simple but it’s still cool if you like Taekwondo.

World of Mixed Martial Arts 3
WMMA3 is a wonderfully complex (and yet quite simple in its basic principles) simulation of managing an MMA federation. Although the basic premise is, well, basic - you have to book events that feature fights between your company’s fighters - the gameplay is very engaging as you try to decide how to draw in fans, who to promote, who has the potential of becoming a superstar, how many fighters can you have before you are unable to make them popular enough to carry you financially, who to hire and who to let go etc.

This game is not without its flaws (and there are a LOT of them - mostly to do with the horrid interface), but it needs to get noticed by more gamers. Why, you ask?
1. It’s the only game of its kind for MMA. No other management sim comes close.
2. It’s a statisticians wet dream. Every single fighter in the game has a unique profile, dozens of different attributes, and a fight history that develops over the course of the game.
3. Each fighter is also represented by some very nice artwork. (And many of the women are hawt!)

MMA Simulator
Oh, boy. So far, very bare bones. But it has great potential. First of all, you need to be able to pick your fighters tactics so they can’t just do whatever they want. You need to make a fight plan mechanic otherwise there is no point in playing this game. There also needs to be a point system for the sub martial art category e.g.(jab, hook, armbar) instead of it all going up together the same, just because that’s dumb. There needs to be more organizations, and you need to be the one who decides when and where your fighters fight, not the organization. Because that’s dumb too. Once that stuff is done this game should be in business. I also made a character and the face I chose changed to a different on and the strength coordination and stamina were not at all what I chose. stamina was my high one instead of strength being it. And also they get up from the ground right away. That’s kinda weird. How can someone consistently stand up right away after getting taken down? After this stuff is fixed it should be a pretty good game.

This is an text-based MMA team manager that also provides simulations of matches. You pick a number of fighters to contract, accept or refuse fights and with the prize money you can upgrade the gym. The game shows promise and can be enjoyed by MMA fans in its current state, but there’s still bugs in it, such as the training schedule that keeps resetting if you switch between weeks. When I try to manage the contract of a fighter it says it’s signed in the future. Sometimes you get a note there’s mail, yet there’s nothing. Eventually you don’t even get fight announcements anymore. Hard sparring matches cost no stamina despite what the game claims. And so on…

This game is awful, tried it on normal, there is no chance of enjoying it. Then played on ( easy ) bit insulting to the people that have bought it as almost all have found it difficult,I get a prodigy of around 94 and start making money and then the companies collapse, what a waste of my time. I understand why the share thing is there but it’s set out is awful, I would like a refund, I bought it when reduced and I can see why it is reduced.

The Last Wulin
The game is simple and fun.
The game cycle is fight a battle, earn xp and money, use the upgrade your buildings to gain more warriors, equipment and modifiers to decrease healing cost or increase income and caps. Fight next battle. Repeat.
But each round the bandits get stronger so if you don’t pick the right upgrades, or put your warriors in bad starting positions, then you won’t be able to keep up. So while it seems very simple, there’s planning and decisions to make that cost. I played for 18 minutes and lost three times. It was fun, look forward to learning more about it.

MMA Team Manager
If you like MMA and sports simulation, this game is a MUST have. It felt expensive but I took a gamble and I’ve already become hocked. The thing is, the UI isn’t as bad as people are saying and the game has significant depth and if worked on with future updates, it could become a serious classic video game for MMA fans.
The league system and variety of tactics involved are seriously entertaining with a great challenge in the first few seasons.
I wish there were more STATs on fighter’s records because as a sports simulation buff, that is what turns me on the most.

Really enjoying playing this title. I start out in lower leagues and try and work my way up. You get a monthly recruitment drive where every once in a while you find a stud that can really pay dividends if you were able to sign him to a long bargain contract. Finances are a challenge and I’ve been sacked a couple different saves from not paying enough attention to it.
One way to better your finances is to get fighters who can win. A fighters career wins adds to his crowd attraction stat, what caliber the fighter is also adds to it. Currently my home attendance average is 2388 with a ticket price of 20. My bargain find fighter who won league 7 fighter of the year last year is a huge contributor to attendance. He’s 21 years old has 50 wins and I have just extended his contract 5 years. He didnt want to extend last year but after we won the 7th league my manager status changed so I was able to. I like the way the game’s contracting is setup. You might be able to sign a bluechip from the market but if the caliber difference is heavily favored by the fighter, expect a overpaid fighter on your hands.

Monsters Domain
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1505940/Orc_Warchief_Strategy_City_Builder/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1562030/Ronin_Samurai_Redemption/
Your objective is to stop any visitors to your Monsters’ Domain. Start from simple monsters and skeletons and with time build up your defences. You can play any monster from your army and give them specific orders to follow. Every killed hero makes them stronger and gives you an opportunity to equip them better or develop new skills or monstrosities. You can reanimate fallen intruders or collect pieces of your slain warriors and research new ways to use it.
Develop your preferred Style. You can focus on specific Style or mix them together to create a unique army of loyal Monsters. Choose from Necromancy, Vivisection, Mutation, Runes, Elixirs, Talismans, Forge, Techie, Strategy, Roguery, Drilling or Sorcery and different schools of Dark Magic.
Grow your beasts and monsters, make them unique or identical with others to unlock specific skill trees, upgrades and abilities. Combine unique equipment and skills and create your Bosses or Swarms.
Styles are complex systems focused on specific areas but combined with others allow to create more powerful weapons and upgrades. The vivisected finger of the mage combined with some elixirs can be a very powerful upgrade for your simple skeleton. Reanimated corpse of a fallen hero with some fresh mutations and newly forged weapons can make a really nice new Boss for your realm.
Loot all you can as bodies decay and some treasures can be lost to nasty imps or other thieves. Store you treasures as a lure for visitors or forge them into powerful objects. Every piece matters. Study new materials and runes, develop schematics for your traps and devices, collect limbs, flesh and bones for your experiments and new creations.
Learn and experiment. The way your monsters kill new heroes can be entertaining but also eye opening. Develop your Strategy and new Roguery tricks. Teach your zombies to play dead (sic!) or Drill skeletons to fight in formation. Experiment in your Forge with loot and spells and combine them into unique crafting materials.
Do all you can to defend you Monsters’ Domain!
Amazing Cultivation Simulator
TLDR: This application is not a game, its like playing inside the unity engine. If that is fun for you, go for it.
You will also learn about chinese culture along the way.
-You will spend your first few hours inside the game. But as the game progresses you will spend more and more time outside of it. You will start to read guides, then you will ask questions on discord because the guides are mostly wrong, misleading and misunderstood. Then you will ask more questions on discord. Then you will start to look up data in the game files, because its the only reliably way to get on information. Then you make a friend who knows somebody who reverse engineered the game. You start to talk about the game in “Whats the formula for X ?”. Then you scratch your head because even with the data files available and decompiled code you still cant figure out how the game works. As an advanced player you will be able to formulate sentences like this “Dont push your qi gathering over 2500 or else you will create a qi void.”

Played over 300 hours. VERY difficult to get started with, but the game allows so much modding via in game and offers a variety of maps that replayability is amazing. Started multiple games and get screwed by the game while trying to figure it out. Made some (very) OP characters, items, and potions to increase the rate of cultivation. Looking forward to figuring out the endgame components. Have I mentioned that as of this Review I have still not beat the game.
Story is a bit weak, but at least there is no handholding. Sink or swim, just like the real cultivation world mangas.
