Warrior Beneath Heaven

Warrior Beneath Heaven

Alright so, this is a special kind of game that most may not be into since it is not 100% complete. It definitely needs updates and more balance.

However, I still enjoy this game. I am a huge fan of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon films and Hero etc. This game reminds me of that wuxia wushu art style.

I feel confident that it will improve over time.

Yes I recommend Warrior Beneath Heaven ! Buy It!!

Very good. u should get this game, its cheap Fighting game with QUICK,BADASS combat and cast more a dozen unique characters. There is even a knight character from Bulgaria..(My personal fav is the dude Yu YuanJin and the Tibetan guy)r with the ReallThe game thas very nice story and teaches u real life history facts about China at the time the silk road and related territorys. I prefer this game much better than vast majority of modern games both High budget and indie coming from the west.I hope to see more Chinese games on this platform & Also really hopin one day there will be Thousands of games from India) These people relaly know how to make things BADASS , Epic & Right . instead of Female protagonist SJW weird anime girl zoomer crap etc that is present in nearly all western releases..

COMBOHEAD

COMBOHEAD

Disclaimer: I received this game for free

Combohead is an enjoyable spin on a classic formula. The physics are fun to goof around with, and the different ball behaviors mix up the play, keeping it fresh throughout the campaign. It’s feels really good when you set up a nice sequence of moves. However, I also enjoy the zen vibes the game can have if you just want to kick a ball around while talking to someone. Replayability is solid with the time scores on the campaign levels, but especially with the endless mode. The sound effects are meaty, the particle effects are satisfying, and thus the impact of kicking feels like it has weight to it. The soundtrack does a good job of keeping the energy of the experience high.

Here it is! My follow-up review is finally ready:

https://youtu.be/ule27Oq-B2M

Video Transcript:

Hello viewers! Welcome to a special episode of A Bird’s Eye View. My name is Endeavor, and today we are revisiting Kings of Kung Fu. It’s been six months since I first reviewed this game, and now that it’s out of Early Access, let’s see how it holds up.

The story mode in Kings of Kung Fu remains largely unchanged. The player takes control of a stunt-person looking to become an action star. A man named Red Ronin organizes a tournament that offers the winner that very opportunity. All you have to do is defeat the other fighters.

Yes at time of this review I’ve only played 15 minutes but I just had to write a quick review now to counter the last 2 reviews that were negative (before that most were all positive). There was some mention of it being like a platforming game and too much jumping. Well before I bought this game I did look at some u-tube videos of it and I could see no evidence of that. On the contrary, when playing this game it has less jumping than most other martial arts fighting games that I have played. The ususal cheap trick is to somersault in kick punch and back out. That doesn’t work here. In Kings of Kung Fu there is a lot of side to side punching it out and blocking more like the movies it’s based on. It thus plays a lot better. The other great thing about this game was how close the contests can be, right down to the wire. Makes for some nerve racking fights. First time in on normal difficulty level and using a keyboard I won my first 2 fights (second one very close) and the third against a monk, kicked his butt in first round and then he won the next 2 in very close shaves. It was pure fun and a pleasure to play. I will definitely be going back for more. A great game and it’s not even finished yet! I highly recommend this game if you like fighting games. If you love kung-fu then don’t even think twice, just buy it. It plays superbly.

Zeus Begins

Zeus Begins

You know, I grew up playing games like Golden Axe and the Streets of Rage series, so side-scrolling beat-em-ups games are kinda part of my gaming DNA. So imagine my overwhelming sense of nostalgia when I first booted up Zeus Begins and was greeted with a story told in pictures with text at the bottom of the screen, and then the opportunity to punch random bad peeps to a pulp!

I honestly had a blast playing this, it brought back so many memories, and there are some lovely little added extras (like every boss having it’s own unique little style, and some bullet-hell vertical-scrolling shooter stages between main levels that are reminiscent of games like 1942). And getting to play as an actual god, being able to kick some serious butt only adds to the value!

Zeus Begins isn’t a bad game. It just isn’t very good either. Kind of bare bones in the fighting department, which is the whole reason anyone would be playing this really. Some good ideas, like the shooter travel portions and the unique boss fights, but only barely implemented in a successful way. Solid starting point for future projects, but not worth the asking price.

Beat ‘Em Up

Beat ‘Em Up

Old style beat em up game in story mode. Nice graphics and easy to control. Makes really fun!

Would like to see more characters and not just different clothing. And a 2 Player mode. This one could be cooperative or in an arena.

Until now, a good work.

Hanako: Honor & Blade

Hanako: Honor & Blade

I’m going to comment solely on the feel of combat since IMO that’s the most ‘make or break’ factor in a PvP game. As of writing this review the game offers 4 classes, 3 melee and 1 ranged.

The ranged character uses a bow and its pretty typical of what you would expect from such a class. Mechanics like projectile drop and needing to lead on a moving target respect the physics of shooting an arrow but they’re not overly difficult as to become aggravating. You can play back and aim your shots or you can get close and spam arrows, its a good mix of skill & spray-n-pray.

First off, the Devs have worked really hard to get this game to where it is now and it shows. When I had my first few games I had expected broken mechanics or obvious inbalance of the classes. However I was pleasantly surprised that they have a very strong foundation in place.

All 3 classes play differently with their own unique style to learn and bring out the fantasy that they are known for. Easy to pick up and learn but also some depth for those who want to truly master their classes mechanics.

I feel like I should have spent more time with this game than I did before writing my review previously.

I have taken more time to play this on my own and at a friend’s house and I have a really different feeling right now.

Graphics -

I did have qualms on the character models and animations previously. I thought they didn’t mesh well with each other like they looked modeled with really different direction. I thought the animations were stiff and awkward.

After some time looking at everyone a little more, I do see a cohesive nature that actually does tie the majority of the cast together aesthetically, bar two. L.exe and Originelle. I think they could use some work with a re-design, but they really don’t fit.

This is a high thumbs up from me. I’ve played some matches online (with a friend who bought the game with me) and played a bit of the arcade. The online was rock solid for us, no lag or dropping out so far.

Before getting to the positives (paragraphs below, it’s been by far mostly positive), I will mention the obvious about early access titles: it’s a work in progress still and some things don’t feel quite ready yet, otherwise this would have been a final release. This is, of course, true at the time of writing this for Mighty Fight. The quit menu doesn’t always work (I used alt+F4 to exit because esc didn’t bring it up) and the arcade mode is not yet saving progress, assuming that’s intended for the final release. The online worked very well during the fights for us, but the menus weren’t clearly telling us who was selecting what character and level. Most importantly though, the Strikefist ai is way better than me, and this needs to be fixed! (/s I eventually won).
