Project Martians
can’t re-read (tutorial) objectives, save game ended up broken mid tutorial but at the start?
it seems more of an early access proof of concept than anything.

Clumsy controls, a broken tutorial, and not much to recommend it.

GYATM Dragon Edition
The team at Indie Imprint got me a copy to review on stream and it turned out to be a blast! Had a great time playing the game. We played for three hours and managed to win the game, not once, but twice AND got lucky enough to see both winning endings. An indie game with multiple endings, plenty of challenge and entertainment value. It was cool trying to beat my time to completion once i figured out how to win. At the same time, I also lost the game in some pretty entertaining ways. So, even when you lose, the game still offers a lof of fun. Definitely enjoy it, and you will too! :)

A really entertaining little game with excellent graphics, sound track and playability. The value is well beyond the price. I look forward to this growing into a larger, more complex game in the future (probably when Elon Musk gets to Mars), but for now its oodles of fun.
btw the devs posted it as requiring Windows 10 minimum, but I find it works dandy on Windows 7.

Perseverance Mission - Astronaut Charlie
I like it very much. This game is awesome. It might be difficult at first. If you play for a while, it will challenge you a lot. Thank you for creating a good puzzle game.

Another tile sliding puzzle with a cat. This one has a sci-fi theme and spacey music. You can only really see it’s a cat on the title screen, otherwise it’s just a small mars rover that goes along the path. It gets a bit tedious towards the end when there is only one tile to spare but that’s pretty standard for tile sliders. Nice for an evening with a puzzle and some bright warm colored mars environments.

Grow Big (or Go Home): Ultimate Edition
It is pretty good, if you are unsure, get it on sale, give it a refund if you don’t like it but i think it is a pretty neat game

Time management crossed with puzzle - Making sure plants get enough sunlight and water within constraints of a moving day schedule, with reflective mirrors. Stressful… I don’t have a green thumb.

what this game lacks in polish, varied content, and technical skill, it makes up for with pure, unhinged creativity. it’s worth the price solely for the brief story and the ms paint art. i genuinely enjoyed what i have played so far, and i will enjoy it when i play more. i am so excited for what comes next from this developer.

Children of Apollo
This is a lovely twin stick shooter with great gameplay, and beautifully redered 8-bit graphics.
My only complaint is the inability to save. I know that the intent is that the game be approached like an old-school arcade title, but the fact that I can’t save my game means that if I ever want to beat the game I’ll have to block out several hours of uninterupted play time, which is rarely feasible for me. As it is, it looks like I’ll be playing the first couple of levels over and over until my kids or some other obligation interupts me.

Enemies take to long to kill but its a fairly nice game. Second to last boss is tricky, last boss is easier.

Outergalactic Aliens Pinball
fun table, same wonderfully complex table layout, LOVE the length of play per game, i feel like it almost never ends; and reaching target and goals feels much smoother of play than previous table. lots of fun ingenuity.
overall, 8/10. just still not a fan of the style of the graphics/art, and the DMD still without much option to adjust/relocate/hide/resize, etc, but I play on a VCab, so i know im a minority for certain features. highly recommend for fans of the game.
and again, great background track, major earworm

Outergalactic Aliens Pinball :: a space/alien themed pinball game :: while a bit rough around the edges (especially in terms of UI) this is an interesting pinball board to play on, with levels. 6/10

Rock Boshers DX: Directors Cut
Charming! I finished this now and finally realized that there are a few bonus arcade games too. Actually, even the main game feels like a collection of the type of little home-made games we made for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, just with a lot more enemies. I am happy that I played with a controller, since this is a twin-stick shooter which can be somewhat unforgiving at times. The collision detection sometimes seemed to detect collision before I did, which caused some frustration, but it may be my own fault for beginning to getting used to games where you can graze bullets. It was in any case easier than many vintage games. The light-hearted story ties all the different levels together well, but don’t be mislead into thinking that this is just a shallow game about steampunk mining on Mars. If looking deeper, it actually teaches an important life lesson: Never be without scones, cheese and tea.

Bit conflicted about this game. Sometimes it’s just an annoying crowd control shooter game (with added difficulty as you run around ‘laps’ in certain levels that require that) and sometimes it’s a clever blast from the past action game and a well designed one too.
Love the MSX-era look. The 16-bit graphics option that was added in the latest patch is very nice looking too.
Unlockable arcade games puts your old arcade skills to test. Loderunner anyone?
Check actual gameplay videos to get a better picture of what this game is and skip the stuff on the store page. Store page gives a false impression there are adventure elements in the game. In reality they are non-existent.

BlackChain
Great game. Pathing and controls are super smooth. It is incredible that this is made by a single person. Only in terms of features, you notice that it’s just a single dev. It is only one race and multiplayer is only possible through LAN (virtual LAN for online play) and 2v2 still has some issues with desyncs. But everything that is in the game is unique and high quality. I really enjoy the micro in this game. It has a bit of a modern Starcraft: BroodWar feeling but it is still quite different. With the low price of only 4€, there is no reason not to get this game. The AI is pretty good even without cheating and tries to actively hunt down your workers with air units for example. The dev deserves the support so he is able to create more content for this. (I have received the key from a giveaway which has nothing to do with the dev)

Real-time strategy, once the second most important genre after FPS games, is dead, isn’t it? While the few releases of recent years were mostly below average, there are some exceptions. This is one.
Great indie real-time stragegy game, heavily inspired by the seminal Starcraft. Build structures, build units, mine ressources and crypto-currency, wipe your enemies off the map. Fully voiced units and 12 campaign missions (all unlocked from the beginning), even a network option. Great little game - what a nice surprise!
