Youtubers Life

This game has some good ideas and it really is fun to play.

I had a problem were my PC was broke and I didnt have enough money to buy/replace the current pc but I did have enough money to buy one if there was a option to sell or scrap the current pc to buy a lower one to keep making videos.

The weird voice in movies and shows are annoying and could be redone a bit.

This game can be hard if you over spend what you earn and try to move up fast.

Also I dont see why can’t the wife get a job or something instead of hog up my CPU and consoles?

A Playable Nightmare

I’m just going to start this off by saying I have never played a game that simultaneously has made me stressed out, bored, and actually exhausted like this game has. I also never thought this sentence would come out of my mouth, but I’d rather play Bad Rats (which makes me extremely sad). So lets explore this mess.

So the art and music isn’t groundbreaking obviously. I’m not hating on that, honestly as much as art and music help a game they don’t make or break it unless it’s part of the point of the game.

Airport Simulator 2014

Airport Simulator 2014

Not worth it. Airport sims are the rare breed, but even with this, there are some more, with so much more content on board.

For one, this game wasn’t working out of the box. I had to do tweaking to start it, which is unbearable in the case of the game made not so long ago.

Next, it is not really a full airport sim. The procedure goes like this: some plane is boarding, and then you have to drive manually various service cars to this plane. With the speed of a snail. If you’ll manage to drive the cars to the plane on time (it’s like 2-3 minutes for a distance like half of a kilometer, for each car), you’ll get some money. When you’ll have enough money, you can buy an “upgrade” to your cars. I thought they’ll start to run smoother, run faster… no. They just finally hiring some drivers on those upgrade money, so, once you’ve upgraded all your vehicles, you can just relax and watch the work as spectacular. And… that’s the game! You can’t build anything, can’t buy anything, you just drive many cars in the hope to gather enough to not driving it anymore. Nice, isn’t it?

This is a frustratingly uneven game. It starts off painstakingly slow: An aircraft comes in and you, apparently being the only person at the airport with a driver’s license, have to drive various vehicles to and from the plane: a passenger bus, a rolling staircase, a fuel truck, two types of cleaning trucks, a luggage trolley, etc. It’s very tedious, but eventually multiple planes start arriving and you have to juggle various tasks among them. The plane at gate 5 is fueling now, the plane at gate 6 wants fuel next. A plane that just landed is waiting for a parking spot and you’re trying to push back a plane at gate 3 to make room for it. At this point the game isn’t exactly fun, but it’s at least involving. Get those tasks done to get the planes off the ground!

Der Milchbauer

Der Milchbauer

If you need to speed up your carpal tunnels inflamation, this game is your best choice. Buying 300 cows = clicking 300times (+), no +5 , +10, mark with shift etc… If you want to inseminate the 300 cows you have to click 300times, but also need to scroll in slowly reacting list. The worst GUI execution is dragging this game completely down. And with the real economic data, well I am not really sure. Its better to buy the cows and sell them when they stop milking and buy new ones, than to inseminate them. Does not sound reallistic to me.

It’s really, really hard for me to give this game a review. First of all: It’s a very small game, don’t expect anything big. It’s more of a clicker game. You cannot be very active in terms of building visible new buidlings. You can upgrade buildings, but just via text.

The whole game takes place on two screens: The farm screen and the stable screen. There is no tutorial or anything like this, nothing is getting explained, yet the handling is pretty simple and I guess it’s part of the game to explore the few mechanics by yourself. You start off pretty empty with 50k bucks and no cows at all. First step is obviously buying some cows and sell the milk. The nice thing is, the whole game was built around real data from German farmers. The price you get for your milk changes every day and is NEVER really high.

Global ATC Simulator

Global ATC Simulator

I have to say that I keep coming back to this sim when I need something to organize… which ain’t that often. But that’s just me. If you like logic problems and solving simulated emergencies then crank up the settings and go for rush hour at JFK or ATL.

What I like about the game is that it’s easy to configure and control. When I say control, I mean manipulating the planes as they come and go. The airport database is very complete and I’ve yet to find an airport worth controlling that’s missing. And, from what little I’ve experienced in real life, the SIDS and STARS are pretty darn good.

I love a good aviation similator (to include ATC) and this simulator does well at simulating real world situation and probably would make a good training tool, as I Aerosoft typically makes applications for. So first off, the blemishes…

With every Aerosoft package I’ve used they AI is barely functional, they just can’t seem to get a programmer on staff with any kind of appreciable skill at providing intelligence to air traffic or the environment. So what do I mean by that? Well in this simulator, an aircraft pilot should refuse some ATC requests based upon weather conditions. When I had visibilty down to under a mile and clearly ILS landing conditions, I was able to get planes to accept visual approaches while well outside of visual capabilities (10 miles and FL130+). Any intelligent pilot would have radio’d back “unable”. Altitudes and speed restictions over certain navigation aids were not enforced and I didn’t appear to get “dinged” for not meeting the required conditions at the navaid. The only “realistic” feature I did find is if had aircraft landing “with” the wind they would abort a landing and would radio back to me they were unable to land due to a lack of runway due to tailwind conditions. I suspect that Aerosoft is expecting a trainer to be monitoring a student who will apply a “thwack” to the back of the student’s head when mistakes are made. The tutorial states that multiple commands can be given at once via the command line but I have yet to be able enter more than a single command a time, even using the example they provide.

With its worldwide infamy, the Japanese Yakuza is one of the most recognizable institutions in the history of organized crime. But it is much more than that as well. As a strategy/management game, Yakuza Empire offers you the opportunity of virtually experiencing what it’s like to dedicate your life, often quite literally, to its cause.

Lead the feared clan as its undisputed oyabun and direct its operations to the best of your abilities. Your revered predecessor was brutally murdered – it’s time to restore his honor and spill blood in the name of revenge.

Yakuza would be nothing without its ruthless leadership, but the same can be said of its unwavering foot soldiers. Recruit and train the members of your organization. Make sure you have the best and most fitting specialists for whichever operation you’re planning. In a game as dangerous as this, the team is only as strong as its weakest link…

Correct facilities will be indispensable in achieving your goals – they will provide fro you and fulfil various needs. Make sure you invest wisely, however. Money doesn’t grow on trees, and you don’t want to end up owing a debt to the wrong people. Plan ahead – expanding will always be necessary, but make sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew in your managerial ambitions.

Master the streets, know them like the back of your hand, as they will be a second home to you. A harsh one, nonetheless, where survival will be an art in itself. You’ll be given the opportunity to tactically plan out your moves in turn-based combat, so don’t fail – blood flows amply in the streets of Yakuza. Make sure it isn’t yours.

What good is being a member of Japan’s most feared criminal gang if there are no benefits to reap from it? Be devious, for you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. As you enjoy the perks of your hard-earned accomplishments yourself, remain aware of how much you can influence others with luxuries.

Cities in Motion

Cities in Motion

Highly recommend. Even with the serious issues this game has, it’s still a little more fun than CIM 2. There are some seriously frustrating problems with making money in this game, because as you throw more buses or trams at a problem, they just clog up traffic, creating gridlock, while hundreds of potential suckers, er, customers walk away hating your guts. Conversely, you can just take out a maximum loan and run subways for an insane amount of profit.

That might sound NOT fun, but CIM sets up a cool little world for each scenario. The game world looks great, there are really satisfying sound cues for finishing a quest, and the sounds of the world are really well done. This is a game for folks who like to look around and see what’s going on. Each person on the map is select-able, with stats on where they live, where they work, and where the heck they are trying to go. That includes people in their cars on the roads.

I have completed Cities in Motion 100%. If you enjoy this series or this genre, I recommend purchasing this game when it is on sale or as part of a bundle. Below is a brief summary of what to expect gameplay-wise, followed by some of the drawbacks and issues that I encountered.

The main campaign consists of 12 missions called scenarios, each set in one of four cities: Amsterdam, Berlin, Helsinki, or Vienna. During the missions, you will get tasks or objectives such as have service connecting X and Y locations or have service at location X and bring Z people there. The average number of tasks per mission is 16, minimum 10 and maximum 23. There is also a mini-campaign consisting of 2 missions, both in Munich. These missions have a total of 48 tasks and are not directly tied to an achievement.

Game Corp DX

Load of hours with fun for very cheap price.

Probably one of the best or maybe the best Economy-Management Game Dev Simulation ever so far. I used to play Game Dev Tycoon few months ago, it was the last good game dev simulation game.

After few months Game Corp DX came out. It was in early acces, I stayed away cuz of bugs and some negative reviews. Just added it to my wishlist and got it on my birthday as a gift. LOL, I am lucky cause this game is totally awesome.

There is three difficulty mode ; Hard, Normal and Easy. Easy is really easy. You can learn the game basics as like as it’s a tutorial. Then you can play normal or hard without getting bored easily.

Real player with 12.3 hrs in game

I have a fondness for game dev sims, but I didn’t have high expectations for Game Corp Dx. After all, how good could a $2.99 Early Access title be? When I started playing I was pleasantly surprised by it. Rather than a short simplistic game, there appears to be real depth to this title. There’s enough going on this game that I’ve decided to just write the bulk of this review in + and - list form.

Game Corp Dx features;

  • Simple and intuitive graphical interface. There aren’t dozens of menus to navigate here, and it’s pretty easy to figure out how to use the ones that are.

18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal

18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal

This is my favorite 18 WOS installment. This game hooked me from day one when I purchased in 2005. This game instilled a love of trucking in my little grade-school self that built me into the real life truck driver that i am today.

Lets go over the good and bad of 18 WOS PTTM.

Pros:

  • The gameplay is fantastic. Picking up loads and delivering them to the correct locations is easy and straight forward. No tutorial required, just go from point A to point B.

  • The progression system in this game is my favorite of all the 18 WOS games. It features income based progression in the beginning, building to a prestige system later on allowing you to unlock more cargo and more highly valued routes.

Real player with 8.4 hrs in game

The game is well worth it full and on discount both, its the favorite from the series, for multiple reasons, though I only had full version of this when I was a child beside the Hard Truck 18 Wheels of Steel

I recommend it to anyone who is into the genre or wants to try the genre out, gives a different experience than ATS and other newer SCS titles, 10/10 for me, fully and wholeheartedly recommanded
