Back Alley Inn
Would definately call this a game with a lot of fun ideas mixed into it. The tutorial is both relaxed and not information overload, and even if you accidentally skip a tutorial, you can probably work out whats going on (hint: dont skip the adventure one like I accidentally did!). Developer is currently responsive and it seems will be making changes so even though the game is pretty solid, with a few small non-gameplay breaking quirks, I anticipate very good things for this game soon.

The game is buggy and missing tooltips. The gameplay is extremely RNG heavy and unbalanced making the game unplayable without giving you a clue what you might be doing wrong or how to fix it.
The game appears to give you a massive amount of space to build in but the vast majority of that space actually can’t be built on.
- First of all, the energy system is very annoying. You have to wait for energy for everything and the fast forward doesn’t work. This makes trying to figure out the extremely poorly documented features an exercise in frustration because the buildings aren’t expensive but require energy which discourages exploration.

City Game Studio: a tycoon about game dev
City Game Studio
I joined the open beta for City Game Studio a little while ago. Ever since I have seen it grow substantially. The game has been improved so much in a short amount of time and I can only see it getting better and better from here on out. The developer is very active and takes all the feedback and criticism he gets very seriously. Many of my own suggestions have already made it into the game and whenever an issue arises he is quick to fix it.
The game takes place in a city where you can rent, buy and even build your own studios and exhibitor centers. When your company is doing good you obviously want to expand and get even larger teams working on even bigger titles. The result of that can be very satisfying.

Overview
First off, on advice from this author’s attorney Frankie “Fine Print” Lymann, copycat games are not a crime. (See Data East USA v. Epyx for proof that copycats do not constitute copyright infringement.) Remember Game Dev Tycoon? Take the awesomeness of the aforementioned game, add interior decorating, an outside world where buildings can be rented, bought, and even constructed, and then add in some nice new ideas (along with a bad idea) and you have City Game Studio. In case the reader doesn’t know, the game is a management sim in which the player starts a game company starting in the year of the player’s choosing, and goes from rags to riches through developing and publishing video games.

Definitely Not Fried Chicken
Definitely Not Fried Chicken - “For All Your Legitimate Fake Business Needs!”
Definitely Not Fried Chicken is a business management sim with a Twist!
Grow your drugs trade through legitimate fronts by managing both sides of the business. Acquire new “businesses”, meet new clientele, develop more potent narcotics, make lots of money and leave a city in ruin!
Set in a sunshine soaked city in the glamorous 80’s, DNFC will test your entrepreneurial business skills.
Build your drugs compound from the ground up, buy adjoining plots of land and expand. Design and lay out your complete production line and establish distribution routes. Fortify your compounds defences and make sure any “overly-enthusiastic” customers can’t break in. Research and develop better strains of narcotics like marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine.
But simply making a great product is not enough, you need somewhere to sell it from! This is where your legitimate businesses come in - you’ll need to build and manage these fronts, including selling legal goods to avoid detection, people gotta eat right? Run a chain of Fried Chicken stores or diversify your portfolio with other businesses. Different places have different people with different tastes.
The backbone of every business is your workforce, the people who tirelessly carry out the tasks you assign them for minimum wage. A happy employee is a productive employee so it’s important to make sure your staff have the basic necessities like washrooms and a place to eat. A well furnished break room is great for staff morale!
And safety equipment will really help with staff turnover/mortality rates…

It shows the true meaning of taking care of animals making them feel more alive unlike other games that animals seem more dead than alive, this game is worth the money and i highly recommend this game to anyone that loves zoo’s or who wants to study zoology it has a tab that you can open leading to hours of beautiful notes of each animal from what they eat to if they are endangered to how many in a group and many more things i would write about this beautiful graphic game but i would take hours writing on this amazing game, me myself want to be study zoology and be a vet or zoo keeper so this game is great to learn more about animals, one again I highly recommend this game to others! and it is worth the money!

UPDATE please read if you already have, or especially if you have the game - though i still don’t recommend the game if its not on sale –
I really wanted to like this game, there are so many things about it to love, but oh my god, it is so broken. There are so many game breaking glitches and technical errors, not to mention just straight up poor development choices that really made this depressing to play for me. I love sim development games.
Examples of errors - So you can do construction, as long as you hold down shift as well as other shortcut keys and are able to freely move the walls, still, floors are completely useless, it does make construction a little more fun knowing i can at least use the walls and roofs, I don’t understand why they added floors, snapping the pathways to a grid can help if you want to make a plaza though, as the path will become larger instead of just longer with some branches, but you still have to attach vendors/exhibits to the ends of the path and are not allowed to put it directly on top. which is annoying.

Great fun, but less than two hours long.
Really good fun though.

A fun, yet somewhat challenging cooking management game. If you enjoy games like ‘Cook, Serve, Delicious!’, ‘Cooking Dash’, & you like the idea of playing theses games in VR, then Sep’s Diner is definitely a game you should check out.
(I had won this game back in August, during a contest that Scale-1 Portal held.)

Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection
At first, it may seem like a very boring game. Which it did.
I got this game in January 2019, and I started properly playing it almost a year later. I’m honestly disappointed I didn’t get into the game earlier.
When you start playing the campaigns, they seem very easy and boring-ish. Well, honestly, they are boring at times. Usually just waiting around for the money to go up.
The online-part is of course GREAT when playing with friends. The game isn’t entirely polished, and that just makes it more fun.

When you look at this game in relation to it’s predecessors, it absolutely feels like a downgrade. While the visuals are absolutely stunning by comparison, the tools needed to customise your zoo and make it your own are completely missing - something that is an absolute staple in the park management genre.
Zoo building is ‘modular’ - that is, rather than building up your zoo piece-by-piece and placing fences, paths, trees, etc etc. yourself as you would like it, you build up your zoo by placing down pre-built ‘modules’ such as animal enclosures, food & drinks stands, plazas, and the like. Where in the original instalments to the Zoo Tycoon series the design of your animal enclosures was completely up to you, in this game you are left with only preset, premade enclosures of varying sizes to put your animals in, with the only customisable features being the placement of animal care items - which, even then, can only be placed on a limited number of predetermined ‘slots’ in the enclosure. Mini-exhibits have no such slots and are simply placed as-is. You cannot change the building itself, for example, the colour is preset. The customisation is limited down to which benches and plants you place down in the customisation slots (again, predetermined) on that building, which are clearly themed and you will likely only have one or two options that fit the theme of your zoo. You can at least change up the theming by changing the style of the walls, trees, and paths on each module in your park, and this can be done globally or on individual sections.

Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game
30-01-2020
So i’ve played this game since a very early version on the ‘Kee’ game engine back around 2011~2012 (long before it came to steam). The game has grown a lot over the past decade and the small development team keeps improving it on a steady basis.
I only rarely review a game and I will be very honest about my feelings on this one and go a bit into detail since I feel this game needs this kind of review.
Target audience:
This game has a very specific target audience. I wouldn’t recommend this game to casual gamers. According to me, the primary target audience could be described as ‘persons who enjoy getting into the technical aspects of designing consumer cars and their combustion engines’. The secondary target audience is ‘persons who enjoy running a car company and try to be a succesfull tycoon selling their own car designs’.

Managed to create a Pinto that didn’t explode…and then I put a Turbo V12 in it…then it exploded
5/7
In all seriousness, Automation is a great ‘build-a-car’ “sandbox” as it is right now. If you are at all interested in car design you should give this game a look. While you will not get the same designability if you were to design the car in CAD or some other program, for a game (and it is a GAME, not a toolset) the options are numerous and your creativity is the real limitation. Seriously watch the vids (though they are of earlier builds and dont show everything available) and look the discourse forums for this game and see what people have built.
