Energy Island Corp.

Energy Island Corp.

In Electric City Manager, you’ll manage an electric grid on small islands. When you arrive on an island, there is only few inhabitants and no electric facilities.

It’s your job to build a robust electric grid which can support the development of the island in every domain: tourism, industry, residential, health, …

Every day starts with a preparation phase. You can construct new buildings, buy raw materials and manage different aspect of your grid.

When you’re ready, the clock starts and you can see in real time, minute by minute the electricity quantity you produced and the electricity being consumed by the city.

It’s important to produce enough electricity to match the demand and avoid power outage. On the other side, producing too much electricity will damage all your electric grid and waste a lot of money.

  • Make your own energy mix: Solar panels only produce when sun is up, oil generators are expensive to run, … Each primary energy has its own characteristics, you must mix them to find the better balance.

  • Manage raw materials supply: Some buildings need resources (oil, coal, …) to run. You must buy them at best price, and build infrastructure to store them.

  • Watch electricity production / consumption: Managing an electric grid is hard. Electricity is hard to store, consumption vary between consumption peaks and low demands periods. Adapt yourself and manage your grid with information you get from the production / consumption chart.

The game is incomplete, and was released the crudest way as possible. However it have a good premise, with an interesting engine wich allows it to grow and someday became a real game, today it is a shame to be sold full-price as a complete game, not as an alpha-test version.

Lunch Truck Tycoon

Lunch Truck Tycoon

Its a good game for what it is. Don’t expect great graphics or physical gameplay, (driving about in a truck). Its more like a text based game. I enjoyed it, but it got a little tedious, trying to save for the next upgrade or vehicle. I got to the third truck and all the upgrades and all the products available..

Then I thought how pointless it would be to waste my time trying to finish the game.. A bit too tedious.. Some will do it..

The prices for the vehicles are unrealistic, plus you should be able to have more than one vehicle. I was hoping for a lockup or warehouse to store my wholesale purchases and then re-supply my vans as I needed. That’s how it works in the real world. How do I know - I used to have a drinks vending supplies aspect to one of my real world businesses.

I have often dreamed of having my own lunch truck from which I could sell delicious lunches to happy people attending fairs, or on their lunch break, or relaxing in the sun at the beach. My friend Ian and I discussed it for several months at one point, even planning out our ideal lunch routes and giving our theoretical burger bus the title “Well I’ll Be Burgered”, a name both cheeky and fun and redolent of the hot, delicious foods within. Sadly, his wife vetoed this idea, and I went on to get a job making computer games, and our dream of a food truck selling the most delicious of take-out meals was not to be.

TL:DR - Don’t buy it, even on sale this is just a broken and boring clicker game which you HAVE to stare at to even let it run.

Many bugs (some game breaking) which are easy to come by and developers have still not fixed them since April.

Will update my review when any progress/fixes have been done. But for now do not waste your money on this boring clicker game.

It has potential but it is failing to show itself.

I have played games like this before, I loved them and was happy when I was gifted this because it looked like it would play like those games where you build a hotel and decide what goes where and such. But….this is a let down…

Very cute little budget version of Projecct Highrise. Interestingly, this is NOT a mobile port, it was made for the PC. Unfortunately they added things that make it too “Appish” and hopefully, and per some of the Devs comments, will be removed or tweaked. These being the “Click” stuff. It’s GOT to go for this to be a real success, which I think it should be. Having to click your stores individually to recieve all the money, or NOT click and only get half your earnings is not acceptable, as most buyers have already stated. It does require a little “hide and watch” the gameplay to get the hang of things but if you’ve got an IQ over 25 it won’t take you long. Graphically, it is very cute and acceptable, already has a lot of stores and so forth, I like the “combination” feature where you can get extra bonuses for certain store combos (Once I figure out how to use it..lol). For this price, even with no discount at all, it’s a very playable and addictive little game for a break from some big FPS or TBS/RTS game.

Ski Park Tycoon

Ski Park Tycoon

I really like tycoon games and amazingly (based on my user name) im a huge fan of skiing as well so I immediately bought this when I heard about it. What I really like about this game over others is that there is very little bothering about with the village, fiddling about with hotel prices is not what I want. It isn’t though only based on the slopes as restaurants and shelters need to be built to be successful. What I also really like in this game is that instead of people appearing at one point in the map isn’t in this game. Instead each map is generated with roads and car parks can be placed at any location flat enough to do so. 90% of the people then spawn at one of these car parks with the rest thought the day. Another thing I really like is the proper animations of people getting on and off chair/drag lifts (cable cars don’t have any animations) instead of teleporting. Personally I really recommend this game to anyone considering it. For anyone wondering about play time I now have 60 hours on this game, I have finnished the campign for the game and am about 20% of the way through the seperate senarios. There are also some addons (senarios but with real world locations) which I havnt even started on.

I love this game. I would definetely recommend to anybody that has a love for skiing or just designing a resort.

Pros

1. Unlimited Mode is very fun

2. All around great game that has no severe bugs that stand out

3. Free Ride is an excellent feature that allows you to enjoy the resort

Cons

1. Campaign too hard

2. Skiers get stuck in some situations and all go into a huge clump

3. Lifts don’t have realistic range and they can’t go over blocked terrain, in most cases

A very interesting game.

This really should only be acceptable as a free game. There is no complexity, humor, or depth. It’s just a grind. Took me only 90 minutes to earn all 16 Steam achievements while bored out of my skull, and it would have been shorter but there were bugs. Multiple times I had to fire employees because their progress bar got stuck, and the “level 50 employee” achievement didn’t trigger until well after I had my first level 50 employee. For the first 30+ minutes of the game, it could really use a mechanism to speed up time to reduce the boredom, too. Eventually it does get faster-paced, but it’s the same old grind.

Been waiting for this game to be released and today was that day.

Played the game for a while now and must say I’m enjoying it so far, running it on my PC specs i found no issue’s running this game runs smooth with low PC load demand.

Upon opening the game your greeted with basic menus which I don’t mind sometimes it nice when things are kept simple and for this game it’s more than enough, once you start the game it runs you through the basic’s of where things are and how they work which is always a nice touch.

This game is a great time killer. Its a great casual game as well, something you don’t have to worry about spending a lot of time in but still be able to have fun.

Pros:

-It’s a neat game, fun, and one of a kind.

-It’s easy to play, not hard to understand and the mechanics are straight forward.

-Cost: This game is just the right cost, worth the money.

-It’s not system intensive at all or space consuming.

Cons:

-It lacks a sort of feeling, I can’t quite place my finger on it but there’s a hole in the game. It almost seems like it’s lacking content.

Retested after several months (Juli 2020):

This game still has bugs, this game still is not an example of a feature-rich tycoon game, by far not. It has still some way to go, before it is recommandable, but it is not that bad today, as it was last year. There were real improvements, new features, better tutorials, and a bit better math.

But all in all, there is at least some kind of game inside this product now. You can fiddle around with the different menus and most of them do what they tell they do. So this is a reason, that brings me to the point, that I will change my review. I do see a chance, that this will become a real game, if the Devs invests a bit more time. It will not become a “great game”, but at least something where a player can have some interaction and maybe a little fun with for a short period
