老板,游戏凉了!- Game Company Simulator: back to 2000

It’s a fun game. Look up a YouTube video to see the gameplay, because it might be a little different than you think (you don’t design the office, buy furniture, etc. like other game dev tycoon games). The little events are pretty hilarious. Kind of feels like I’m in a Monty Python sketch at times.

Claire’s Cruisin' Cafe

Claire’s Cruisin' Cafe

I was hesitant at first because it give me a Delicious Emily clone type vibe. However after playing it, it does had its own charm. The graphics is really pretty, I love it very much. Gameplay is good, I like the two person serving together feature, it still need some work but good still. However, there is some part that I feel like too bland, the cutscene at every level, the story is still decent but the way it present is boring, it just give speech bubble to tell the story without animation, it feel boring after few level. Most of challenge is repetitive and not challenging enough. Overall I still like the game, it’s a beautiful game. I looking forward to the sequel with more improvement.

Claire’s Cruisin' Cafe is a casual time management game with a cooking theme. You take orders from your customers, use different machines to prepare the dishes, serve them and bill them after they’re done eating. It’s not a revolutionary idea, it’s actually been done many times before and also in several other variants (fashion design, hospital care, veterinary ward, murder investigation etc), but it’s the kind of game that I would prioritize playing above almost any other.

In terms of genre / game design, GameHouse titles most likely come to mind first, since they are the most popular on Steam among players who enjoy this kind of games. The present review aims to draw a comparison between Alawar Entertainment ’s Claire’s Cruisin' Cafe and GameHouse’s Delicious series.

Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator

Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator

Time Played: 40Hrs

General Thoughts: Cute art, fun but unpolished niche game if you love spreadsheets, expensive for being unfinished

Pros:

  • Art is cute

  • Choices have consequences and you have to make adjustments every year

  • Each wine has its own personality and quirks to how to create it

  • I like having to make mistakes and suss out which wines have to be made which way

  • I like taking notes and refining my process

  • Chill game and late game is very relaxed

  • Devs are patching and incorporating suggestions

This game is everything you’re looking for in a wine management sim, with some fatal UI and design flaws that prevent it from being good. It is a highly complex game with a nuanced engine for deciding the quality of your wines - so many variables both plannable and random have to be contended with to make great wine. Even the progression as you get familiar with winemaking and grow your winery and its capacity is interesting. The game introduces you to its mechanisms via a cute little campaign that is enjoyable but unfortunately only does the most basic job of informing you how to work things. And now the flaw…

I have mixed feelings about this game. There’s no options to change the gameplay window size, no options to save where you’re at (I wish this was made clearer in the beginning) so you’re always starting fresh, and the ‘detailed stats’ don’t actually seem to line up with the previous round. Sometimes it will say ‘I made all my orders’ on a game where I botched three, and then it will say I botched three on a game where I did fine and fulfilled everything. This seemed especially true around Month 25+

My Universe - Fashion Boutique

Considering there isn’t a lot of fashion games like this available, I was really excited to play this one, but unfortunately, I was disappointed.

The game play I did get to enjoy was fun, but the constant crashes make the game completely unplayable anymore. At first I had few issues, but once I started progressing, the game started consistently freezing or crashing entirely, making me lose all the clothes and orders I had made/fulfilled since the game so rarely saves. It’s really not worth remaking all the clothes every other day. Once I completed the third fashion show, my avatar completely disappeared and I had to abandon all my progress. I really tried to keep playing it, but I can’t anymore.

A beautiful and relaxing game that only takes a few hours to “finish”. It’s challenging enough to make you want to play more, but not so much to be frustrating. Even though the entire game takes place on one map, it opens up more and changes appearance as you play through the game. All in all, it is a nice palate cleanser to play if luscious pixel graphics and wildlife appeal to you.

co-op mod has a split screen problem, and the finale level kinda sucks (to me anyway)

But the game is Great!

if I could add one thing to this game, I would be making 1-4 command your pack.
