I am really hoping this game gets some basic upgrades to menus and controls for some spells. then get a larger community for this game and it would be golden.

Rynn is super duper cute!
This is a cool 1v1 mage dueling game.
You select the type of elemental mage you want to be, each having similar base spells, but different ultimates. For example, who wouldn’t want to toss giant boulders at the enemy as the earth mage?
The different play modes include PvP, against AI mages, a training ground, or a boss mode.
You weave spells in the air using the controller and dodge around the enemy’s spells by moving out of the way, but be aware that a smart bounce off the wall might take you without you expecting it. The first one to get three hits in wins the round.

This game is awesome! I,ve been looking forward to this game and got it when it came out. I think having a deflect spell would be nice, but it would have to cost more mana then the shield. Also for a single player, I was thinking of kind of like where you go to a place like hogwarts, and the farther you get, the more spells you can learn, and you can customize your spell loadout. Also whenever you battle an enemy, you can do that 3D pong type battle, or try new things too.

Close call on whether to recommend or not. However, I just can’t recommend this game. The combat is too simplistic. The UI is too clunky. The visuals are bland with poor animations and sounds. I know the game is in Early Access, but it currently feels like the game should have come out in 2016 VR. There are simply much better VR RPG games out there.
All is not bad, however, there are some good things about this game. There are several interesting mechanics. You have several spell unlocks & upgrades, along with gear with different stats. There’s lots of different enemies. The promise of randomly generated levels is alluring.

I’ve played for almost an hour and I’ve got to say this is a lot of fun so far. The creature models, effects and some of the environmental details are pleasing to the eye. There are several low-res textures as well, but that’s okay. Gesture based spell casting is always a pleasure, and the fact that you can store different spells in your other hand is a huge bonus. This so far is a really entertaining dungeon crawler and I can’t wait to sink more time into it.

Rain of Arrows
Good game , the arrow physics are top notch, graphics entertaining, and pacing is just about right for this kind of game. BUT, I would love it if you got rid of the obscuring flames on the end of the arrow, at least when you turn off player aim assist. Can’t see the target at all which makes it very hard to hit it. The one thing I like the most about bow and arrow games is judging the trajectory to hit the target, never want aim assist. The mechanic for bringing up the shield and paddle is inspired I think. Very quick and intuitive. Thanks for the fun.

This is a stand-still 360 archery wave shooter / “bullet or arrow hell” rogue-lite that is quasi on-rails. What I mean by that is that you’re basically on a raft that goes forward without your input in the water. However, you can paddle side to side to avoid obstacles. Meanwhile, you can dodge side to side to avoid enemy projectiles and you can even use a shield to protect you against some types of damage. I believe you have 3 deaths and you can get upgrades after beating a boss.

Awesome soundtrack, mind blowing graphics & a few surprises along the way. Very suitable for kids.

Awesome game. Not an expert but I would say the people behind it had a real creative vision. A lot of VR games are just tech marvels without any substance. On this one there is a story (light but still there), beautiful soundtrack, really nice graphics, etc. I can’t wait to see where the updates are going to bring. One major plus : For any kind of audience, male and females, kids, etc.

The Wizards - Dark Times
I’ll review this game as I messaged it to my brother to describe it:
Well the sequel has waaaaaaaay better visuals and environments. You feel like you’re on a fantasy world roadtrip with all the different environments. One level is a swampy gas area you spend a good deal of time clinging to the back of a friendly troll and one-hand casting spells while he carries you across the hazardous terrain, another you’re underneath a lake that’s held up by gravity magic and trying to make your way to the top of a Storm Tower, which has a giant cyclone storm perpetually over it due to magic

So, I loved the first game and admittedly a large portion of that was bias: I was THRILLED to be able to play out the fantasy of being a spell-slinging Wizard! That being said, it was clearly a concept in its infancy, even if it was a lot of fun and the gesture-based spellcasting (or Somatic Components for TTRPG nerds like me ;P) was already quite good!
Enter the sequel, Dark Times. Where it was already strong, they further improved, and where it was lacking in many areas it leaped forward significantly! The graphics are -way- better and more immersive, especially in regards to the spells! Creature design was rich and interesting, albeit lacking in variety, and the environments were much more varied and interesting than the first game!

The Wizards - Enhanced Edition
What is this game, currently?
This game focuses on gesture-based spellcasting. In order to use your spells, you make the appropriate hand motions. It is a solo campaign that progresses you through a simple storyline of stopping a war via time travel. There are currently two types of levels in the campaign: A tower defense type level (enemies trying to travel preset paths and you have to kill them before they complete it) where you stay in one spot and defend or a mostly linear descent into caves where you will be on the attack, able to teleport between nodes (trackpad movement is currently being added), and getting regularly ambushed. The general pace of the combat is frantic, with the player teleporting around every few seconds (in the attack levels) and casting spells as fast as possible to avoid getting overwhelmed. In between fights is the opposite, calm and laid back with a chance to appreciate the scenery.

Full fledged single player campaign with a story, and you have to make gestures to throw spells!? Hell yeah!.
I tried this game a looong time ago before the enhanced edition and im finally finishing it because i wanted to play the sequel… truth be told i was a bit dreading it because i played this before the Enhanced edition was a thing… and i can gladly say most of the issues i had way back then have been fixed or very much improved.
I honestly enjoyed my ~4hrs playthrough i didnt move any graphical settings on my gtx1080 and i pretty much stable 90fps.

Waltz of the Wizard (Legacy demo)
One of the absolute best introductions into Virtual Reality and my top recommendation for the first game to play (aside form the steamvr tutorial). Waltz of the Wizard offers a LOT of experimental mechanics for exploring the VR realm to really showcase just how much you can do. If I was to list off every single detail of what you can do in this game, I’d run out of space in the review box. So I’ll keep it simple.
The graphics of the game are excellent. Everything has a great texture, design, and coloration. Despite the really great quality, it runs at a very optimal level on a less than optimal graphics card. Very little issue with framerate.

First and most importantly my mother is displeased, she managed to drag a barrel to her and was unable write on it with the chalk, i must agree i am kinda sad about that too.
now on the serious review part
This is a great game. The game places you in an alchemy lab where you can make spells. Generally you toss 2 ingredients and pour one solvent in the pot and boom you got a spell. there are 8 spells in total which is a tad few but all of them are quiet fun.
There is a small instrument where you can play 3 melodies and use it as a gateway to 3 different places.

Wands
I genuinely love this game. Wands has a totally unique style of gameplay that strongly emphasises strategy. It’s PvP wizard dueling!
Some important points:
There is no free movement here; instead, you teleport to a fixed set of “tiles” in each of the six arenas. This has two implications for your experience: 1) it’s super comfortable; the only motion you experience is what you physically do in your space and 2) the gameplay comes down to your ability to control your opponents' access to these tiles. Sure, it’s limiting. You don’t get to whiz around in VR using the latest creative control scheme. However, gameplay-wise, this is probably Wands' greatest strength; the limitation of movement makes this essentially a full-information game. There are very few cutsie tricks that you discover from the arenas by way of experience (though there are a handful) as you would find in other PvP games. Most importantly, your opponent can’t hide. If you understand each arena and each spell, you are perfectly capable of formulating a unique strategy that will surprise even the most experienced opponent.

This game is brilliant. I had it on Viveport subscription for a month and consequently decided to buy it on Steam.
It’s a PvP game where you battle it out with wands. Quite a strategic game and highly addictive. Especially when you really, really want to beat that one person who keeps killing you.
If you don’t like PvP it’s not for you, as there’s no real single-player mode. But if you want a PvP VR game and you’ve always fancied yourself as a wizard or mage, then frankly you need this game in your VR library! Plus it’s actually offered at a reasonable price.
