Wizard’s Duty

Wizard’s Duty

It’s a pretty impenetrable game, it gives you a quick “hey, so never mind the controls, but check this out!” Then you get into a hall with a bunch of signs up, finally the game drops you in. There’s not really any feedback or information about what you’re doing, so I wandered around the tower clicking on things. A rat kept coming by and I guess stealing my gold, cause I ran out of gold and never once did I know what the hell was going on.

Iron Danger

Iron Danger

Extraordinary game with a wonderful combat system! I would like to call it ‘combat choreography’ at times, a delight for anyone looking for a casual adventure, because the mechanics ensure that you basically can’t loose. This inside a pearl of a story, which isn’t always conveyed the best in this game.

The story begins…

Kipuna’s hometown is under attack, and during her fled out of town, she tumbles through a gap in the pavement to an ancient forgotten temple, right upon a magical shard. The shard is pierced through her heart, and it gives her the power to turn back time 7 seconds, and to conjure firespells. A magical apparition sets Kipuna off on a quest to get the five other shards that form together the Aurolith!

It all started with the save scamming. Remember the old school role-playing titles like Baldur’s Gate? There were powerful spells that had chance to kill any enemy from one hit but the chance for it was pretty small. Now what did people do? Naturally, they used to save before the battle, tried to cast the spell and if it didn’t work, they just loaded their save and tried again. Just because it was an easy way to win and… you know how it is. People love the easy ways. Well, as long as those are not the Dark Souls fans but we’re not talking about those masochists today. Anyhow, later, when playing games in a proper way started to get completely out of fashion, publishers started to add a certain feature to their games. A feature that allowed us to “rewind” things and try again. Without even using an old school save feature. Press one button and pretend that you didn’t die a second ago. In a way, it was like watching movies on VHS. You know… VHS? That bulky thing… with tapes? The one that allowed us, old geezers, to watch movies at home before most of you, youngsters, were even born? OK, OK, I’m shutting up now, don’t be mad.

i wouldn’t recommend this game at the time of writing this

the voice acting is pretty bad tho i do give props to it being done by 1 maybe 2 people, they do try to give a different voice but they they sound off.

the art style is really good and does fit well with the area

some of the puzzles are pretty good tho others seem that you have to die once or twice to get what you’re supposed to do.

the bosses are can be easy but most of them do quite alot of damage with some attacks being too easy and some being too unexpected.

A game with interesting mechanics, blocking time is innovative and well implemented. But also because of its strange nature it is very unstable and difficult to control, not to mention the glitches you encounter.

The whole game has graphics that I liked a lot, you notice the great work in taking care of the environments, the lights and everything else.

The problem is that most of the work has been given to the graphics rather than to the design, which is unclear at certain points and excessively difficult in others, not to mention the numerous bugs that forced me to challenge the final boss 6 times before succeeding to overcome it.

Hermes: Sibyls' Prophecy

Hermes: Sibyls' Prophecy

Zeus and Hermes are sitting on a cloud chatting while doing a spot of fishing. When suddenly an iron feather comes floating down, Hermes cannot believe that it’s a coincidence! It’s the second sign they’ve seen today. Recalling a prophecy “Watch for when birds with iron feathers swoop down from above and a mute animal begins to speak.” However, Zeus laughs it off, saying it’s just an old story his parents told him so he’d be a good boy and behave. Apparently, the prophecy for tells of a time when all the gods will become mortal, it’s all nonsense! says Zeus.

Nomads of Driftland

Nomads of Driftland

Very entertaining game with innovative mechanisms. I can recommend this title to all RTS and god game fans. It felt great to move islands around the world, discover new lands to unlock new units. Unlike in Driftland base game, this free expansion allows the player to manually control the units and does not provide multiple choices of buildings to build, which makes the player have to combine and explore new lands to diversify their kingdom.

Do not get discouraged by the maps order. It seems that it is sorted by mission type, and it felt little boring to play three defences in a row, but it gets better later on. However, be aware that the maps are challenging.

So much to do with the free content, I can only imagine what the game is like once you purchase it. So much potential. I’m a big fan of the Nomads aspect which feels more like an RTS to me. The base game is more economy and micromanaging but harder to deal with threats because it is so limiting on defense.

Magic Manny

I fucking love this game. If I do not get a sequel to this amazing game I will eat my shorts. I’ve spent so many hours diving into the lore and intricate levels you’ve crafted. The soul put into this game is so much more than most triple A games COMBINED. Yeah I said that. Combined! Holy frick I need magic manny 2 in my life. I wanna see what happens to him after fighting the demon lords and drones sent by the king of that tower. Call it ‘Magic Manny:magic tower’ if it means you’ll get it out faster and count it as a spin off. PLEASE I REALLY REALLY WANT ANOTHER GAME.
