I had a lot of fun with this game! Fast paced action, good amount of different weapons, funny characters… Despite the simple art style, it also looks gorgeous (I’m in love with some of the light effects). You can thoroughly customise the difficulty with several sliders in Options, where you can also find some helpful accessibility choices.

Some good hours of button smashing fun watching enemies fly all around, and a bit more strategy needed against tougher enemies or particular combinations of them. Some collectibles, hidden stuff, secret ending… Long story short, great indie and good value for your money. As I always say, if it gives you more hours of entertainment than a cinema ticket, it deserves at least that money, right?

This game appeared on my store page and the name caught my attention. After seeing that the game wasn’t that much I decided to buy it, and I can say the game is definitely worth the price. If you ever just want the ability to rip through hordes of enemies and just feel the satisfaction of taking out a large group of minions at once then this game differently achieves that.

One thing for certain is that you need to have patience since some of the bosses are pretty challenging. But with enough perseverance, you can beat any of the bosses. This game is a 10/10 for me and even though I have beaten the game to 100% I am definitely going to play more.

PowBall Renaissance

PowBall Renaissance

Welcome to PowBall Renaissance

This isn’t your classic Breakout game or Arkanoid, however, given that is has open endless possibilities of making your own levels, refusing to purchase upgraded ammunition for your weaponry and adjusting levels to that, you can pretty much play this game in any form or shape you want. Classic, Retro, Modern, or PowBall style.

Make no mistake this game comes with over 300+ levels, including those from PowBall Deluxe, the original game for DOS/Windows.

Good news, game runs perfectly smooth, higher resolution support, and even 4K if you are into that. Level Editor that lets you comprise your own set of master levels with gimmicks of your choice using what the game engine has provided. Perhaps the game may require a Workshop functionality so players can share their own level sets for others to play as a bonus (that is entirely up to steam if I am not mistaken).

Another clone of arkanoid, but the one which tries a new approach to the genre rather than copying its sucess.

I played the original way back since its original release in 1996 and loved it right away, because it innovated the concept. And this remake is brilliant. Also, it is quite stable since it runs very well on my Toshiba laptop and hasn’t crashed not even once.

Even though I prefer the original, do not miss the chance to try this version. It is simply something you need to try before dismissing it as another Arkanoid rip-off. The concept is the same, the gameplay, is quite different. Go take a ride with it.

Banzai Escape 2: Subterranean

Banzai Escape 2: Subterranean

I may have played only an hour of this game but judging by what I played, its a fun time so here are my reasons why.

Pros:

1. Its free so you’re not wasting money

2. Decent character customization that, while a bit limited, has a bunch of interesting options

3. No pay to win, meaning everything other than certain cosmetics are earned in game.

4. 2 player coop which adds more fun to the game.

5. a ton of weapons and nano units that add a variety of build customization

6. Pretty smart enemy A.I., they can run from grenades, take cover from incoming fire, rush you if you are not in cover and throw grenades to flush you out of cover

Took everything that was bad about Banzai Escape 2 and made it better. Hopefully they expand the character customization and add more stories. And maybe even animated cutscenes. Though I feel like if you’re going to play it then you have to play it with a friend to get the maximum amount of fun. There is an occasional bug that me and my friend experienced multiple times on the the medium and hard level where we could not deal damage to enemies unless we used a grenade. This forced us to make nano builds built around having as many grenades as possible. I hope this gets fixed soon because it is kind of game breaking in a way.

Good shooter that the Devs are constantly improving. Enemy AI is smart and getting smarter. Graphics have improved a lot from the Minecraft style they started with. Battlefields are big and procedurally generated to include actually challenging arenas and not just random blocks and mazes.

Endless Firepower

Endless Firepower

One of my favorite point and click adventure games

Real player with 20.4 hrs in game

The game crashing is definitely causing me the most issues. I’ll get close to 10,000 gears collected, or reach Lvl 20 with X character, and as I enter the portal to the next world/area, the game crashes. And due to the game crashing while I got Recruit to Lvl 10 to unlock Soldier, I never got the achievement. I unlocked Soldier and have the achievements for him to reach Lvl 5 and 10 with him, but the original achievement never triggered as being acheived.

I’m unsure how the Gun Collector achievement works. I’ve apparently only collected 50 guns in my 10 hours of playing.
