GraviFire

GraviFire

Puzzle game with very interesting mechanics and charming pixel art. Game is a bit short, with only 50 levels. Difficulty isn’t that hard, enough to make you think, but the lack of an undo button can get pretty annoying, and I feel that it adds some artificial difficulty, but the game is still pretty doable with patience. Having said that, it is pretty cheap, and is unique enough for me to be worth a buy.

gravifire is a sokoban-like/sliding hybrid set in space. block pushing comes into play by directly controlling a green alien trapped inside a strong body suit or something (there’s a short cutscene at the beginning), so you can move stuff around yourself, but the gravity changing mechanic moves all the crates in the same direction at the same time, hence the likeness to sliding puzzlers.

If you like graffiti and puzzle games probably you are going to like this game! It has nice puzzles with various mechanics that gives you the feeling of a real illegal graffiti experience.. Its kind of bad that it doesnt have a lot of puzzles.. The graffiti part now its surely a fun experience ( i spend more time on the piece than the puzzle lel ) but it surely needs some improvements cause painting with a mouse isnt the easiest thing.. I believe its a good game for its price and i hope they add more content later..

Captain Backwater

Captain Backwater

Pretty fun little puzzle game so far, I’m about a quarter of the way through. Only drawback I see is there are no targets for the number of moves so you don’t really know how well you did on each level. You can replay to beat your own score but it would be nice to have some indication of the minimum number of moves required to complete each level. I recommend but I got this in a bundle for a buck and a half. Doubt I’d recommend it at the 8.99 price.

Captain Backwater:

Sailors, avast ye (pay attention)! See this old scroll in my hand . . . can someone tell me why sailor Sean is looking at my hook? Oh, shiver me timbers - this scroll is the map of the archipelago right in front of us! One hundred islands in total and all have a cross on them! That’s right me hearties, each hold exceptional booty for the taking. Arrgh, now seriously . . . does anyone on board have half a brain? “Yo Ho Ho” the entire crew screamed! “Oh boy, it’s going to be a long treasure hunt”, thought Captain Backwater.

## Defence to death

Definitely only worth picking up when it is a 1.00 or less…and ONLY if you are wanting the achievements and cards.

Although I think the ability to click (fast) on enemies to kill them, and click (fast) on the mine to get more currency to spend to build towers, are really great ideas, there are only 3 actual levels that are reused over and over, only 4 towers to build, and only 2 towers you will actually use. You earn money at the end of each level, that you can spend on 3 upgrades per tower.

It's a pretty easy, but very boring grind.

Defence to Death is another lazy asset flip from Laush Studio. They've taken a basic Unity template for a TD game, changed around a few things, didn't bother with polishing it or testing it much, and dumped it on Steam for a comical $6\.

I'd go on about how asset flips are bad but this is just garbage. Everything is clunky, no support for higher resolution monitors, balancing the game was something developers had heard about and will probably think about doing one day maybe on their next game. It's just trash.

## Lazy Chess

This is a great game. Just needs some UI tweaks to be amazing.

It's worth its money.

I hate the fact that you don't have the option to just play regular chess. How hard would it be to add such option. Also it annoys me very much how you can't just get rid of that stupid "You Won!" pop-up so you can just look at the board and go through the older moves. It HAS to analyze it online in a browser. Other than that, the game is a good way of learning chess for beginners.

## Sketchbots

It's a great concept for a game and it's executed on very well here; I really want to like this game, I really do. However, there are just a couple of complaints that I want addressed.

1\. There's no way to detect the orientation of other bots.

2\. There's no way to store learned information, the bot can't create a mental map of the environment or do anything else that would require knowing more then what we just did 1 turn ago.

I really enjoy this game! I like the challenge of only being able to recall the last action instead of storing all previous actions to memory, it makes me feel like the bots are very primitive, in a good kind of way. The potential here is really huge, I could see hundreds of puzzles to play from the community one day being a thing. Speed running, do it in X challenges etc. This game deserves more love and attention!

## BAO

As a Tanzanian local who grew up playing this game I am glad that the game now has a good and accurate representation on Steam. The game has a lot more strategic options and variations than most mancala like games.

*– [Real player with 13.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198069540662)*

Like chess, this game requires that the players think a few steps ahead; however, while chess has a few set of rules and a few kinds of pieces, Bao has only one kind of piece and a complex system of rules to govern them. In chess, you take time to set up your pieces. In Bao, you work through two different phases of the game, and watch your work chain react (the flow to this is hard to explain, but satisfying to experience). Those looking for a popular, simple game may find this hard to warm up to (that said, this game does come with a tutorial, and will highlight legal possible moves). Those looking for a fresh mental exercise, or perhaps wanting to learn about other cultures may be interested to give this a shot.

## Rock Paper SHIFT

Takes the simple concept of rock, paper and scissors, and elevates it to a level I don't think anyone could have imagined possible. The levels have so many gameplay features, which all add to the challenging nature of the game. This is more than a turn-based. This is something special.

The game was very exciting. I really liked the view from above. I also really liked the graphics. When playing games with a top view, you can expect the worst. So who is interested in this type of games, download and immerse yourself in the world of video games.
