My boyfriend bought this for me thinking I would like it, and I love it! It’s a very cute game and I enjoyed each level the more I played :) One thing I would like to add though, Is maybe there could be a little variety in songs for each chapter area? The main menu song is nice, but when going to different themed places, Maybe there could be some songs that go along with the different places. Overall I’m really happy with the game!

It’s a cute game, but it feels like its targeted towards a younger audience.

Most of the puzzles solution are pretty direct and only start kicking up around world 4~ but I’ve lost interest around this point.

The UI elements also makes it a bit tedious to explore a solution, there’s no “fast-forward” button when letting a puzzle play out so you have to either let it play out at regular speed, one conveyor belt at time, or keep slamming the “next” button to skip animations into the next stage.

This game really has a lot problems; some of which are probably unsolvable due to the game design.

First, some pros:

1. The command line design is actually the simplest I have ever seen; this makes controlling a lot easier.

2. The game runs smoothly and has a clean interface.

Now the cons:

Let’s start with something that can be fixed:

1. Graphics error: I see a “discord” button on the airport selection page. (Fixed)

2. Gameplay Bugs: I have experienced problems like collision, even with vertical separation. I have also experienced bugs that planes fail to intercept the localizer even I have guided the plane to the orange line. (Fixed)

Game Dev Masters

Game Dev Masters

TLDR: Worth the price (even if I didn’t pay for it, I would’ve) and then some. Super cool Developer that has listened to feedback and implemented suggested changes.

So you’ll see from my account I rarely review games, mainly because I don’t feel that my opinion matters much when people are choosing games as I tend to play differently from most players so I just don’t bother. However, in this instance, I’ve had first hand experience of speaking 1 on 1 with a small games developer and I know the work they have put into this game deserves any help any player of their game could do to help boost its visibility and or sales.

This game is addicting. I know nothing about developing games and I’m honestly a little confused in this game BUT I am learning and having fun in the process! Played the Demo for free for a few hours and purchased the EA version a few nights ago. Making each game is, for me, a fun process.. learning how to “train” myself to make games, figuring out how to make a hit (not quite there yet at master level), trying not to bankrupt my own company… love the challenges! Failed my company a few times but starting over each time has taught me how to progress in this game farther, faster!

Great game, very fun but very short.

Seems like there’s a lot more potential for more to be added.

Plumber: the Pipe Rush

Plumber: the Pipe Rush

I really like this game. It’s a simple concept, but challenging and different every time. And it’s fun to see how complicated you can make the pipeline. The only issue is that I wish that when it does fail, it was easier to see the board to see what went wrong. A bunch of stuff is displayed over the board after a failure which makes it difficult to see the problem.

Note: As of reviewing, I have played the first ten levels.

This is a fun game which at its most basic is about using pipes to transport toxic waste from point A to point B without a leak. However, the gameplay contains a lot more nuance and presents additional challenges as you progess through the levels. The pipes come in multiple shapes and some of them add extra directions for the waste to travel while others create a “dead end”, allowing you to make the waste travel a certain direction. You will not always have the pieces you want, so there is some tetris-esque strategy involved in deciding when to trash one of your current pieces to try for a better replacement or to improvise with what you currently have. Additionally, some levels already begin with pipe pieces present, so you have the option of placing your pieces strategically to connect with these or to work around them as if they were an obstacle.

OKay, listen here. I’m a big fan of the franchise and played almost every installment of these, the Hercules games and similar.

But i can not recommend to get this, especially at full price.

The puzzle pieces (and therefore bonus levels) are tied to getting 3 stars on every level.

While I get it that this was probably not intentional, it sadly only makes this game enjoyable for the try hards, not the casual gamers to which I count myself.

The level design looks a bit more fresh and cute with the cat and some new elements to work, build or fight.

Cubic Currency

Cubic Currency

A charming indie game with character. Hot take on capitalism

pros:

  • excellent worldbuilding

  • immersive experience: soundtrack, sound effects, and art are very well done

  • fun and nuanced gameplay that keeps you coming back

  • balances randomness and skill well

  • well planned achievements

cons:

  • seems a little too easy (i’ve won each of my first 3 runs without many difficulties) – let capitalism be more brutal! (or, have different difficulty settings–that’s probably a better way to do it)

  • as far as i can tell, there isn’t “save game” functionality? either that or it’s not intuitive how to use it. could be a nice thing to add

Full Disclosure. I bought this game at 90% off. It was less than a dollar, so at that price i really can’t complain for myself.

Now if you buy it at full price, it might be a little short for that price tag as I finished it in just over 3 hours. The game has enough elements to make some days/levels a bit intense, especially with the last character. Which is good because without the juggling of customers and the negative dice types, the game would be waaay too easy. And if you want to achievement hunt the game to 100% then you’ll probably get maybe an extra hour or two of gameplay.

Escape from Tatris

Escape from Tatris

This game is unironically better than Escape From Tarkov, the game it is inspired by. This game has fixed 100s of the glitches of original tarkov. Hackers? Basically none, I seriously would pay money equivalent to the EOD edition. It has a great inventory system. Of course it has very little items, but of course this is for balance. After playing for only 14 minutes I have experienced only positive things. Those minutes were pure bliss. My only problem with this game is that it is free, if the developer were to add a donation box I would surely do so.

The combination of two russian classics definitely add up to an experience no gamer should miss. the innovative gameplay and groundbreaking mechanics create a game that has perfected the fine balance of uniqueness and originality with simplicity and overall fun, an impressive feat for how different this title is from other mainstream AAA games. While the game itself is captivating and will have you playing for hours on end, this doesnt subtract from the other aspects such as the stunning visuals and graphics and absolutely gorgeous soundtrack. The game is a well rounded masterpiece that covers all the essential bases of a good game, while remaining unique and not being chained by traditional game design, as it riskily tries mechanics and aspects that humanity has never seen in a video game before. The most significant part however is the price: Escape From Tatris is free. For a piece of art so perfect that one could mistake it for on of Gods own creations, a price tag of 0 is really the cherry on top of this delicious cake of a videogame. Download Escape From Tatris now, and i can bet my own life that you will not regret it.
