I understand this game is in Early Access… but HOW did this make it on the steam store. It opens, blasts music in your ear, then gives you a home screen that doesn’t even work. Until this game is done you’re pretty much paying 4.99 for the most obnoxious music you can find.

If you really want this, here a video of me starting it up for it to just crash on the broken home screen…

Pyro the Exterminator

Pyro the Exterminator

I usually play AAA games and I prefer high quality graphics to pixel art, but Pyro carried me away.

I’ve already spent more than 20 hours, but only 30 levels completed.

Several times I turned off my pc at night and my thought was “This level is impassable”.

However, I was returning and tried to solve it with new ideas next morning.

It is challenging to me, my brain works pretty hard.

I really like soundtracks, they create great atmosphere.

In my opinion, this game deserves respect and success, so…

I believe each early access product deserves to have at least one long review, especially when it’s such kind of product. In my opinion, this is the best example of early access game you can find.

Right now it’s completely playable, so far I’ve not found any critical bugs or imperfections which can ruin your gameplay experience. Good job, developers!

Now about the game itself. This is kinda puzzle game, where the main goal is to to reach point B from point A. Many of levels i have seen so far have different ways to be completed. Also, most levels have pretty unique ideas and mechanic interactions. The difficulty increases pretty gradually, depending on how many levels you have accomplished.

The Ghost - Task of the Ghost Hunters

The Ghost - Task of the Ghost Hunters

The Ghost - Task of the Ghost Hunters is a single player. Your task is to find the ghosts and solve puzzles. The puzzles will be an important part of The Ghost - Task of the Ghost Hunters game. There will be several levels and the levels will also have different sizes. There will be from small houses to larger multi-storey houses, which will also result in several puzzles to be solved.

Difficulty levels:

There will be 3 different levels of difficulty, which increase the realism of the game. If you are given tips every now and then with the difficulty level easy, you have to fight your way around the house alone and without tips with the difficulty level. The level of difficulty of the mind also depends on it. With an easier level of difficulty, you can hide from the ghost even more easily when the ghost is chasing you. If the level of difficulty is difficult, you will not be able to hide so easily any more and you will find the spirit more difficult.

  • Graphics: There will be a realistic graphic implementation

  • Levels: There are more than 5 levels in which you have to hunt the ghosts. There will be different houses in over 5 levels. There will be houses from small to large.

  • Puzzles: There will be more than 10 different puzzles to solve. The number of puzzles depends on the size of the house

  • Difficulty level: There are 3 different levels of difficulty (easy, medium, difficult). With each level of difficulty, the aggressiveness of the mind increases and the puzzles become more difficult to solve.

  • Ghosts: There will be more than 5 ghosts. Every mind has different abilities.

  • Sound: A realistic sound makes the horror experience more intense.

God is a Cube: Programming Robot Cubes

God is a Cube: Programming Robot Cubes

This is a pretty diverting puzzle game, and I’m happy to have got through it – although it did not live up to some of my expectations. Calling it open-ended and comparing it to SpaceChem (among others) is not very accurate. Each puzzle has a tightly constrained grid and a small set of symbols to put in them, so it’s more like finding the expected solution rather than making your own (although you can try some optimisation). There is a sandbox mode, but not much to do with it at the moment.

Most of the puzzles also have an alternate goal, which is a good idea that didn’t add enough variation to be really worth it.

This game is good at what it does.

Graphics are nice.

For each complete puzzle, you can improve your solution and try to find secret solutions. You can compare the number of instructions you needed with other players so you’ll know if you can actually improve your algorithm.

That’s a good thing since you definitely don’t have to stick with your own solution and you’ll be encouraged to explore other ones.

I recommend this game.

Move That Box!

Move That Box!

Move that Box is a retro, arcade, top-down style action-puzzle game based on logical thinking, but also requiring reflexes. The game draws handfuls from Bomberman and Sokoban.

Player task is simple: get form point A to point B, by moving boxes and solving puzzles. Move, push, throw, melt and even blow up items to reach the goal.

Your love has been captured by aliens! She’s stranded somewhere on their mothership! You must find her. But be careful - that ship is full of weird boxes!

Put on alien suit and push through levels!

Puzzle Style Gameplay - Mix of puzzles that require logical thinking, reflexes and blowing up stuff!

Bomb System - Bombs that explode destroying “everything” within one square - there are two types - static pre set on maps, but in full game you will be able to use them more Bomberman style,

Boxes - Various types of boxes that we can interact with. Wooden: Can be pushed through, Metal: only a bomb explosion will move them, etc.

Custom Graphics, Music and sound effects - Graphics, music and sound effect entirely prepared by me,

Additional levels - With “Story Mode” completed you can try yourself in time and steps challenges,

Game Dev Masters

Game Dev Masters

TLDR: Worth the price (even if I didn’t pay for it, I would’ve) and then some. Super cool Developer that has listened to feedback and implemented suggested changes.

So you’ll see from my account I rarely review games, mainly because I don’t feel that my opinion matters much when people are choosing games as I tend to play differently from most players so I just don’t bother. However, in this instance, I’ve had first hand experience of speaking 1 on 1 with a small games developer and I know the work they have put into this game deserves any help any player of their game could do to help boost its visibility and or sales.

This game is addicting. I know nothing about developing games and I’m honestly a little confused in this game BUT I am learning and having fun in the process! Played the Demo for free for a few hours and purchased the EA version a few nights ago. Making each game is, for me, a fun process.. learning how to “train” myself to make games, figuring out how to make a hit (not quite there yet at master level), trying not to bankrupt my own company… love the challenges! Failed my company a few times but starting over each time has taught me how to progress in this game farther, faster!
