Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection
I like Sonic games but I’ve never been a huge fan. I do however love an arcade racing game and this is the best one I’ve played. The list of games this is better than is long, but it beats out Mario Kart and the Nickelodeon clone by a mile. Drifting quickly becomes intuitive, the AI usually isn’t as cheaty as other games, and the items are well balanced. There’s a decent variety of characters to choose from, many of which are from obscure SEGA properties which really helps if you don’t want to just play as Sonic or Knuckles.

THIS VERSION OR TRANSFORMED-VERSION: WHICH TO BUY?
Firstly, let me say if you are only interested in a SINGLE-PLAYER experience, then get this game and rather than TRANSFORMED. This game is arguably superior in at least one aspect: it has context-sensitive race announcer! If you are torn between THIS VERSION or TRANSFORMED, start with this one–it’s a great game and you will not be disappointed. I have played Transformed on two other platforms so I can stand by this review. That being said, if you want multiplayer, get Transformed.

A game that stood the test of time
Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing, released 10 years ago during the Playstation 3 / Xbox 360 era, is a kart game that still holds up today. While this PC port is miles behind of the PC ports that SEGA does today (mostly UI-wise and for the lack of Steam features), the game itself runs fine – even on a potato – and the experience is great for both single-player and split-screen for up to four players. There’s no online multiplayer, so keep that in mind. In my humble opinion, this is the second best Sonic racing title on Steam, getting behind of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and one of my favorite kart racers, thanks to the great sense of speed.

Toybox Turbos
Toybox Turbos
This game feels really unique. In fact I have not had such a positive surprise like this one for quite some time!
It is a racing game with six different game modes (only one in mp) which incorporates a very nice concept; Cars with guns and powerups. There are older games and mario kart alike games that remind of this game. They share a very important success factor; they are great party games which gives replayability.
The setting is beautiful with great immersion to the condcept of the toy vehicles you race with. The camera of this top-down viewed game is really good single-player but can be frustrating with other players as it becomes difficult to see if you are far ahead which means that you have to know the map to effectively outrun other players without the risk of dying.

Long story short, Toybox Turbos is Codemasters' attempt to reboot their famous Micro Machines series, which suffered a lot from poorly received Micro Machines V4. No, let me rephrase it. See, Toybox Turbos is more like a test. We’re dealing with a brand new team of developers here and naturally, Codemasters didn’t want to risk Micro Machines to lose even more popularity. So, what we have here is a Micro Machines game from a new team and without Micro Machines license. But you know what? Even though not having a direct link to the original toys kind of sucks, this game? It’s surprisingly good.

Mashed
The fantastic Mashed lacks much in the way of plot, set-up or subtlety at all, but it proves that such things are wholly unnecessarily for a racing game that is this much fun and whimsically cathartic – the premise is simple; as any one of six colour-coded vehicles, outlast a number of opponents while navigating richly detailed maps at top speed and armed with a wide array of utilisable ordnance.
That premise is only the beginning of a highly-replayable core concept, first thing you’ll want to try is the “Challenge Cup” campaign mode, which incorporates every map and every gamemode in roughly a difficulty curve to showcase the immense variety of experiences the game has: completing bronze, silver, and gold challenges on each map will unlock more and more playtypes, vehicles and maps for the campaign, while also unlocking new possibilities in the “Quick Play” casual mode with both pick-up singleplayer, cooperative- and competitive multiplayer.

“Mashed? MASHED POTATOES!”
When I was little I bought this title off the Xplosiv publisher and must admit that its by far the most amazing top-down game I’ve ever played and felt that I have spent my money right with this title. Played multiplayer with my cousin on the same screen and the insults were undeniably the most outrageous and funny ones. You’ll get called a dumb cookie crumb and so forth, which adds even more icing to the cake.
Yet, the whole sad thing about this is the fact that this is Drive to Survive, not Fully Loaded so there’s not any improvement to the gameplay and I’ve stated the bugs you’ll encounter while playing.

Total Arcade Racing
Fun and addictive sort of “old school” racing game. It has super smooth scrolling with nice car handing, and every inch counts on the track! I’m very impressed with it so far. No weapon, if you want your opponent out of the way you have to push and grind them!
The Survival mode is also a nice game mode where you just have to avoid all the kamikaze cars out to get you. Fun!
Overall a nice buy for the family or gamer(s) who likes to do multiplayer and/or just fool around and have a few laughs.

Pretty dope.
But make it easier to get stars. Being in the global top ten should not still earn you only 1/3 stars on a track

Bang Bang Racing
Bang Bang Racing is pegged as a top-down “family friendly” racing game. With a similar camera angle and toy-car style as TNT Racers (released earlier this year) you’ll race with four different car classes among three gameplay modes in an attempt to earn the gold trophy in each championship circuit. Bang Bang Racing strips away things like power-ups and weapons in favor of a simple and pure racing game. Unfortunately what’s left is a rather boring racing game with little in the way of any replay value.

As a seasoned player of this game, I would recommend it as a 7/10, but it is definitely not without flaws. I’ll list the pros, cons and debatable features from my experience so you can decide if you think you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!
Pros
-
4 Player splitscreen, a rarity on PC. I spent most of my time playing this mode.
-
Simple and yet brilliantly original car damage/pit stop system
-
Good variety of tracks with different routes
-
Car class system lets you pick the speed you want to race at

Obliteracers
I usually don’t buy or play racing games, so I want everyone to understand exactly where I’m coming from when I write this review.
Obliteracers is great, hell, it’s freaking fabulous.
I’ve been looking for a party game that I could play with my friends or with people online for a while now, and after playing this, I know I’ve found it. 16 player, drop-in drop-out multiplayer, scream at the monitor hilarious mayhem.
I love that smartphones can be used as controllers (more games need this, get on this other developers, license this tech for your games!) and it only takes an hour or two of practise to get a handle on it, (I recommend going 1-1 with a beginner bot on an Endurance style game using the “relative” controller layout until you get used to it).

Ive usally dont write review here!
But hell this game is so damn fun! for those who play Mario kart, then you got to loved this game!
It’s one of those game when you just have a long day at work want to go home and play something fun, relaxing and bring you laughter then i will highly recommend you get Obliteracers, for the prize of the game is so damn worth getting.
Obliteracers bring you high level intensity game play with unique in game shield mechanic, what made this game so fun and challenging with able to block your opponent cheesy sneak attack moves by predicting, and able to counter play and out play your opponent by having that shield up feels so damn good.

Slide - Animal Race
I am having trouble with Remote Play, the online player cannot control their character. I am unable to configure their controller without having it plugged into my computer. I have removed the controller for player 2 and have the default keyboard set for input. Still waiting to test.
Does multiplayer only work if we are plugged into the same computer? I hope not.

Are you looking for a unique gaming experience? How often do you play indie games? Today, I’ll be looking at a new quirky racing game with a twist. Most racing games like Mario Kart, Forza, and Gran Turismo, use vehicles but in this game, Slide – Animal Race, you can choose between multiple different animals instead of vehicles, a rather interesting concept for a racing game.
You can select between 6 different animals. These animals include a turtle, fox, penguin, dolphin, orca, or even a seagull. A rather diverse cast for a racing game. And it doesn’t matter which animal you choose since the stats on each animal are the same. So go ahead and choose the animal you truly like the most without worrying about which one is faster. I honestly like the fox most cause of the way in runs in the desert stage.

ThunderWheels
21 November, 2018: I’ve nominated this game for The “Better with Friends” Award. Though you don’t really need anybody else to play with, this game does lend itself well to party play. Anyway, Steam required me to update a review to get the badge, so…
30 June, 2018: I’m re-writing this review, as the development over the last six months has made much of my original review obsolete.
This is a great “retro” racing game. Race up to 8 vehicles (currently 11 different vehicles to choose from) on various off-road courses. From the menu you can select the number of opponents as well as the number of laps. As of now there are about a dozen different tracks that you can race in either direction, plus more available through Stem Workshop. You can race a single track, or multiple tracks (& directions) for a total “season” of multiple races. Points are totaled for each race and if you finish in the top three you can see your car on the “podium” at the end. This works with single player versus AI opponents, or local multiplayer. The developers say that online multiplayer is something in the works, but it is not available as of today.
