Stardust Vanguards
There is no point to buying this game. It’s a local multiplayer game, with no solo campaign or anything to do. Theres a co-op you can solo play but its just fight the same 3 units in the same order for 9 waves on levels with the same background but slightly different obstacles. Theres no online multiplayer. Even if there were the game is boring. You all play the same unit, which can shield, slash, and has a limited number of special shots, and thats it. The worst part is the direction of the slash is the same control as movement, meaning you have to run directly at someone if you want to attack them, which is annoying and counter-intuitive since they can shoot and you melee hit. Theres really no depth as you just use the same 3 abilities. No different abilitities, different characters, etc. Just a bare bones clunky local co-op game, nothing more.

Stardust Vanguards is a great local multiplayer game and a must have for anyone who likes playing with friends locally
I managed to get this game for free through a steam code givaway back around late 2015 and let me just say, it’s pretty good even today. This game has great potential for anyone with a few controllers and some people to play it with. When it comes to local mulitplayer games, this is a must have. Co-op wave based survival with teammates is a blast if you are looking for a bit of a challenge. Not to mention the fact that you can go head-to-head for some versus action, too.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection
I like Sonic games but I’ve never been a huge fan. I do however love an arcade racing game and this is the best one I’ve played. The list of games this is better than is long, but it beats out Mario Kart and the Nickelodeon clone by a mile. Drifting quickly becomes intuitive, the AI usually isn’t as cheaty as other games, and the items are well balanced. There’s a decent variety of characters to choose from, many of which are from obscure SEGA properties which really helps if you don’t want to just play as Sonic or Knuckles.

Few words about the game
Collider is a great, colorful arcade game with non-stop energetic gameplay, from the very beginning of it. You get to choose from one of 5 different game types, each with its own unique rules and variety of amazing music in background. Singleplayer is good and challenging as it’s quite hard to achieve good scores alone. Multiplayer however is epic and terribly addictive, I can’t wait for another opportunity to play with someone else, it’s just too good!

Lethal League
Game is fun!
I’ve seen many call this game “Smash Brothers meets Pong” and that’s roughly correct. Lethal League is similar to Smash titles in its ease of access (being pretty simple to understand and play) and its competitive depth. Its similar to Pong in being focused around the ball, the one lethal element of the game. You and your opponent(s) are striving to hit this ball, tagging it to yourself and making it lethal to your opponent until they successfully hit it back (or miss, get hit, and die). The ball will steadily speed up after every hit as long as players remain alive, ramping up the intensity. Continue this until all but one player have lost all their lives, and only the champion remains!

The online is incredibly good, which is to be expected from GGPO. 4 player games tend to lag/desync a bit, but as long as you are not playing across countries, it handles it well. 1v1 online is nearly perfect from my viewpoint.
Controller support is also good, I have tested 4 different controllers, all of which worked. Only a few required minimal key binding.
Gameplay itself is of the “simple to pick up, hard to master” variety. Great for local party/competitive play. Its fast paced, and has a lot of “epic moments” for all your friends to hype about.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing
THIS VERSION OR TRANSFORMED-VERSION: WHICH TO BUY?
Firstly, let me say if you are only interested in a SINGLE-PLAYER experience, then get this game and rather than TRANSFORMED. This game is arguably superior in at least one aspect: it has context-sensitive race announcer! If you are torn between THIS VERSION or TRANSFORMED, start with this one–it’s a great game and you will not be disappointed. I have played Transformed on two other platforms so I can stand by this review. That being said, if you want multiplayer, get Transformed.

A game that stood the test of time
Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing, released 10 years ago during the Playstation 3 / Xbox 360 era, is a kart game that still holds up today. While this PC port is miles behind of the PC ports that SEGA does today (mostly UI-wise and for the lack of Steam features), the game itself runs fine – even on a potato – and the experience is great for both single-player and split-screen for up to four players. There’s no online multiplayer, so keep that in mind. In my humble opinion, this is the second best Sonic racing title on Steam, getting behind of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and one of my favorite kart racers, thanks to the great sense of speed.

CROSSNIQ+
the game is def worth $8, very addictive, very good at passing time (see: my playtime), and it’s fun climbing up the leaderboard! i bought this game for dv-i and she delivered and virix dreamcore had bangers in here as well
the board aesthetic is so clean, and the ingame real-time clock is a cool small feature, wish more games did that
had some minor problems:
i really don’t like most of the gallery boards, they’re too bright and detailed and hard to distinguish colors, especially on bigger boards. the beach one is good tho
– Real player with 384.5 hrs in game
CROSSNIQ+ at its core is a race against time, a different breed of grid-based puzzlers like Chuzzle and Yoshi’s Cookie. The goal is to make titular “crosses” of one row and column of the same color. There’s an appropriate mix of specialty tiles and consequences for how you deal with them, both in direct gameplay and recorded score. It’s also a great “podcast” game with its Chillout mode, in the sense that it’s a time sink you can run while listening to stuff in the background. But Versus mode is where it really shines, with a wide assortment of powerups with different offensive and defensive types. All of this is topped off with its distinct visual style and matching soundtrack.

Epic Loon
What a crazy awesome game !!
Random thoughts :
-
Weird parody universe that made us binge-play until all was unlocked
-
Flappy tongued diplodocuses. Very tongued. Very very flappy.
-
The soundtrack is incredible !! :3 meow
-
If you finish a level first, you get a physics gun to troll the other players. That the best part !!
-
Or you can just self-explode and mess the physics for others ^^
-
Overall, it’s an addictive physics game with a steady learning curve. Quite difficult at first, and rewarding when you get better at it !

Epic Loon:
I am one of those people you would call a movie buff. I love watching movies and series, and I have a tendency to collect French movies (especially the ones from the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s). So, I was totally amazed when I was introduced to Joe, from Epic Loon. This guy has an incredible collection of VHS movies and his bedroom walls are decorated with posters with thousands of VHS tapes. A perfect setup for any movie fan! Joe shared with me an amazing story that happened to him recently. His beloved VHS player start malfunctioning, and in desperation, he ran to the hardware corner shop to see if he could find any sort of instrument that would help fix his VHS player. There, the Chinese owner told him about this miracle tape cleaner that would make his VHS player work again. What the owner specifically forgot to mention is that the VHS tape cleaner was a prison for four little aliens, and from now on he has to watch his favourite movies with these little buggers moving from one scene to the next. Welcome to Epic Loon!

SAMURAI GUNN IS A LOCAL MULTIPLAYER GAME
–-------------------------------------------------
With this in mind, it's a frenetic combat game which is quick to learn but takes a long time to master. The controls are very simple but also have a lot a slight complexities which make matches against friends feels absolutely epic. It's hands down the most competive and entertaining local multiplayer game I've enjoyed with my housemates. If you like Smash Bros, Towerfall, hell even mario kart, you'll enjoy playing this with your mates.

Amazing game. Spent hours and hours and hours playing this with people. It's probably one of the easiest pickup-'n-play fighting games on Windows and really gets everyone going. I definitely think this was my game of 2013\. I've spent far more time playing it with guests than any other game I own since I bought it on Christmas.
Because there's absolutely no documentation, there's a lot of learning in terms of moves and rules. For instance, if you press your sword and jump and a direction at the same time, you do a mightier jump in that direction than normal. Also, you're limited to 3 bullets a life (gets rid of bullet sniping or camping), and you can hold down to play dead (you'll die in water if you do this). There are a bunch of stages all with their own little intricacies. If there's any game I'd recommend for party play on Steam, this is it.

Ahoy,
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R is one of the best fighting games ever made. It was just updated with rollback a little under a year ago and it just received a massive update to the player room system today that, if you just want to play *a lot of matches* with the time you have, makes it better (faster) than the lobbies used in more recent fighting game releases such as Guilty Gear StrIVe. This game is usually $15 and frequently goes on sale for about $3\. The quality to price ratio is the best you'll find.
