After 4 hours of gameplay here are my thoughts.

The game is visually stunning and amazing to look at. I thought the colors would be weird, but it flows and is captivating. The art style is both whimsical and creepy at the same time. The soundtrack and sounds are not overpowering and very thematic (as a content creator I turn them down a bit for streams & vods but for normal play you don’t need to). Mechanically the gameplay is smooth and the challenge is appropriate. You will get lost in the gameplay and be drawn into the world. The equipment choices and power ups allow for a variety of playstyles - scythes, hoods, armor and spells are plentiful and have all sorts of fun uses. Speedrunners can run through areas once just to collect gear to give them an edge, and completionists can run a stage multiple times to collect all of the rewards. There are also events, shops and quests to add to the depth.

POSTSCRIPT

This game is adapted from my comic.

There is story mode, so don’t worry about not looked the original comic.

I wanted to make a networking game,

however, the network technology is too hard so I deleted the network mode,

instead, used local multiplay mode.

Players can use STEAM’s Remote Play Together or PARSEC or other third share screen platforms for online connection.

Dungeon League

Dungeon League

Dungeon League rates very poorly as productivity software.

It struggles to locate and quarantine any malware.

I’m not sure if it even speeds up my computer.

However when treated as a video game, Dungeon League can be quite entertaining.

Dungeon League is an action packed single player and multiplayer dungeon crawler game with both offline and online modes. What first appears to be very simple unfolds nicely into a real treat as a party game.

First impressions: I open the game and am treated by happy music as many rapping chickens spread across the screen. Good signs so far. Options are tidy. Multiplayer is quiet. So far so indie, but it has a nice unique charm all of its own.

Edited 11/1/18 for new release

With it’s full release I feel like Dungeon League has grown up and matured quite a bit. Between adding new characters, adjusting balance, new monsters, monster abilities, items, traps, unlocks, etc, it all just feels more ‘right’. Previously running through the gauntlet felt repetitive after a while, now with more to do and different obstacles to overcome I can see myself wanting to come back to the dungeon over and over again for a long time. I would have recommended this even if it didn’t include online capability but the fact that I can play with others online elevates this even higher. I would absolutely recommend buying this game.

Zoological Era II

I don’t make reviews.

But this fucking game had me on the verge of depression and full melancholy at times and then smiling ear to ear, happy to realise how hopeful and humble life really is.

This game manages to make a masterful and deeply personal story about going through a downward spiral in your life, full of gut-wrenching sorrow and pain. While that’s an achievement on it’s own, I truly appreciate that this game also encapsulates finding light at the end of the tunnel, getting back on your own feet and finding hope in even the smallest victories.

i really wanted to love this game i really liked the idea it was kinda of like a d3 co op game that was simple for my wife to understand. i brought this game because i though it would be a fun with the wife but boy was i wrong.

1. if someone dies theres nothing you can do, youre stuck and you have to restart or die.

2. did i just finish the early game access, 10 minutes and that was it after the mini boss. at first i though it was a glitch

but there was no way to exit no way to advance after the first mini boss fight.

Played for half an hour. The setting is uninteresting so far, the cutscenes took a little too long, and that move the enemies use that knock us down? Terrible idea, The character just stays on the ground, nothing happens, it takes waaaaay too long for them to get up. Also, there is very little feedback for commands and interface. I felt a little lost, not really sure what was going on…

The game didn’t save once. Don’t really know how to save, actually, but I got bored once I entered the temple and gave up. Now I have to start all over -_-'
