Super Retro Fighter
This review is not final as the game is still in Early Access (v 0.9.7 beta at the time of the review). It may change to a positive review, depending on future changes, rebalancing and additions and I do believe that it has the potential to become a very fun game.
Super Retro Fighter is an individual stages vertizontal shmup that is intentionally designed to be frustrating. So far, it only has one mode. While it’s called Arcade Mode, it lets you select an individual stage to take on. You unlock one after another and gain upgrade points based on your performance that you can spend on extra ships, bombs and shot power. These will certainly aid you but the trial and error remains.

Really fun game. It has an 80’s retro vibe to the music which is pretty awesome.
There is 3 ships to choose from and each one is unique for different guns to accomodate different playstyles.
Some stages that can get pretty frustrating but at least you can stage select to retry same stage as often as you want.
Also, there is a system to make your ship stronger , buy more lives, etc.
Controls: It feels responsive using a gamepad.
I use a Dual Shock 4 wired with USB cable and game recognizes at a PS4 controller.

Streets of Fury EX
This is the most fun I’ve ever had with a beat ‘em up.
Streets of Fury EX certainly doesn’t have the ambiance of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, or the soundtrack of Streets of Rage, or the visuals of Capcom’s Alien vs Predator.
But what the game lacks in artistic and technical prowess, it makes up for with its zany humour, large cast of playable characters, and awesome gameplay depth.
Each character feels very unique, and though a few can feel underpowered, they’re still interesting in their own right. The combo system is super flexible - way more than I ever expected! Chain combos, special moves, dash and jump cancels, juggles, OTGs, and the coming update even adds parries to the mix. Hell we’re still finding new ways to do amazing, super damaging combos!

I sunk a huge amount of time into the original Xbox 360 version of the game, and Streets of Fury is one of my favourite indie games from last gen. I was pretty amped to discover that they were planning on doing a PC version of this, so I’ve been patiently waiting…
Streets of Fury is a throwback to late 80’s - early 90’s arcade style beat-em ups done in the style of games like old-skool Mortal Kombat using digitized sprites. Streets of Fury sports a very competent and deep combo system that is simple and pick-up-and-playable for beginners, while more experienced players can string together ridiculously long combos that look like something out of a high level MvC2 or Skullgirls match…

BOOMER SLAYERS
“The Boomer Slayers come to purge the world of filth and bring masculinity and brutality back to society”
BOOMER SLAYERS is an indie game by a single Russian developer. It is a mix of an old-school gameplay and modern-retro looks with boomer humor and some Slav jokes.
-
Use your BADASS character to clear The Building by using brute force! Use your JUSTICE PUNSH to interact with enemies and environment.
-
Eat NANO-FOOD to restore your health and try not to die in combat mayhem.
Play with your badass friends in local co-op mode!
Try to do your best not to die of laughter.
When you’re ready, switch from GAME JOURNALIST DIFFICULTY to NORMAL and test your might in a REAL CHALLENGE. Slay your enemies LIKE A BOSS!
(Some in-game jokes may be understandable only to native Russians)

Get Out! Snakes!
What an incredible idea!
I never imagined playing snake this way, the levels, the colors, the music, everything collaborates for a perfect experience for the game! 10/10

Bionic Commando: Rearmed
Bionic Commando was a decent enough arcade action game, when it debuted in 1987. Cartoonish, tricky, demanding, full of genuinely vexing little obstacles here and there. Its NES port, technically a sequel to the arcade game, remains the gold standard “home version that clobbered its arcade counterpart” in my book, adding many more stages, many more enemies and obstacles, and some genuinely hair-bristling cruel and unforgiving claw-swinging physics challenges that made you feel really accomplished when you finally cleared them. Bionic Commando was the first NES game I finished, partly due to being a very late arrival to the NES world, but partly also because it was the first game I owned to seem, frankly, as though its unfolding story justified the work involved. I felt like I’d really accomplished something, the day I finally arrived at that endscreen with Joe’s signature.

Easily one of the best games of the PS3/360 era and from back when Capcom was willing to experiment both with new IPs and with their wide library of existing IPs to the point of reviving old forgotten franchises such as Bionic Commando and Dark Void (With varying results overall) and also from a time where they outsourced a lot of their projects to North American and European companies (In this case, the game was developed by GRIN. A company which eventually transformed into OVERKILL and went on to develop PAYDAY: The Heist on the same engine as this game).

Arcade Galaxy
As another reviewer wrote, it’s an asset-flip.
– Real player with 0.1 hrs in game
Lucky me gets dubious honour of writing the first review for Arcade Galaxy, which is an asset flip scam.
This is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from serial copy+paste infringers, Piece of Voxel. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio marketplace, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else’s work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception. It’s nothing but a cash grab.

How much of this game I’ve played: 12 Hours, 35 minutes
How I’ve played so much: I had a pre-ordered non-steam copy.
Completed Main story, not the super secret boss area.
Here’s why you’d be interested in this game: Good rhymes, good story, old school gameplay.
Good rhymes: If you haven’t heard of BeNeVoLeNcE, you might have heard of Mega Ran - he’s known for clean nerdcore rhymes over chiptune beats and melodies. Hip Hop by both is featured in the game, and it’s not an “afterthought” like it might be in some games - the music is interwoven in with the story - it’s actually rewarding to gain access to the rhymes that go along with the instrumentals in different parts of the game.

Spooky Chase
Spooky 2D platformer - You are your own worst nightmare as you try to collect flags and avoid getting caught by your past selves that replicate all your past movements and chase you. Fun with friends!
– Real player with 7.9 hrs in game
I really liked Spooky Chase. Not a long game or many levels, but the aspect of trying to avoid your past self is always fun. Makes you ponder whether you want to speed through it or play it safe for your future self.
It took me almost 8 hours completing the whole game, as some levels take a long time due to RNG involved. RNG in this game can feel very unfair which is its flaw, but I still think its a great game for the price.
The boss fight is also a bit difficult and it can also be annoying.
For the price, the cute costumes, and avoiding your past self is a game to get your hands on.

Curses ‘N Chaos
I have a very mixed, but cautiously positive opinion of Curses ‘N Chaos. I’ve detailed the bulk of my thoughts in video format here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efUQ70co8w0
I’ve tentatively listed this review for ‘recommended’, but it should be noted that I have a fairly significant issue with the game. There’s a lot about the game that’s very fun to me, despite issues preventing me from really sinking time into it.
Before I go into my issues with the game, let’s talk about strengths:
- Gorgeous art, beautifully animated. The level of detail present in the characters and backgrounds while still adhering to the pixelart aesthetic is quite remarkable.

Okay, so. Completely rehauling this review because I’ve figured out a couple of stuff(After 5 hours). The item system has really gotten me interested. I probably overlooked it a bit at first. The healing stuff in particular. You need to be careful when you use them depending on what they are. Apples heal 1 HP, Meat 2, etc. Some items work best against some enemies and other works better against other enemies. Using your items wisely and storing important ones you know you’ll need later at your Owl pet gives the game another depth you don’t notice at first glance.
