Boomerang Fu

Boomerang Fu

Boomerang Fu is, at first, a simple game. You’re a Fruit. I mean, excluding Eggplants. And Avocados. Ok, fine, it’s not a Fruit Game, but a Fruit/Vegetable/Grain/Drink/Ice Cream/Sushi/Bacon game. Each character oozes personality, some in a literal sense, others roll around a bit more.

Anyway, as the title says, it’s all about Boomerangs. You throw boomerangs, slash with boomerangs, catch your own boomerang, kick boomerangs out of peoples hands, turn into a box & get hit with a boomerang, etc. You’ve got 3 (4 technically) buttons, 1 stick. Simple to pick up, hard to master, but outstanding fun at all skill levels.

Amazingly fun little game.

And my kids (5 & 7) just love it!

It may appear a bit violent at first glance, but it’s not that violent.

You mostly cut food items or break and occasional cup.

No blood or gore or anything.

The game easy to play - even a child can do it.

So kids enjoy it very much.

The bot enemies on lower difficulties are also quite easy to overcome, so the kids can even play the game by themselves.

Other than various characters (that only differ in their graphics) the game also offers various levels, with different game mechanics (levers that allow you to kill enemies by moving the environment, moving ground, ice, trees that hide you, etc.)

We love this game!

The mechanics are very unique and funny.

Throwing food around in panic while stuff on Your stove is burning, not realising, that Your partner has no free hands and the food just lands on their head… good moments…

We laughed and yelled so much while playing this game.

The graphics are nice and fun, the gameplay is quite challenging yet fair.

I very much hope, that there will be more restaurants in the future.

Very addictive!!

If you like playing overcooked with your significant other (or 1 other buddy) you are going to absolutely love this. I can nearly garantuee it.

Dishes (and the order in which they appear) are not randomized. So, it often feels a bit more fair than overcooked because it is pure skill and does not involve the roll of the dice.

Biggest con?

You can only play with 2. No way to play alone unless you want to somehow play with 2 controllers at the same time. And also no way to play with 3 or 4. Which does feel like a bit of a wasted opportunity.

The overall presentation is great. Its fun with a good atmosphere that is very upbeat. The sound compliments the game. The only problem with a game as polished as this it needs a variety of game modes beyond the levels. Maybe I haven’t unlocked them yet, I don’t know. I have only played half way through the game. I know i could play the same level over and over again. But may be a local/online pvp free for all or some player vs environment mode like Boss Battle etc. Some RPG elements possibly as well. I’m hoping DLCs in the future will add to what I think is already an awesome game and worth every penny as far as I’m concerned..

Couch Monsters

Couch Monsters

I can highly recommend this game. I had a lot of fun playing it with my boyfriend and friends. The game has a very cute artstyle and the puzzles are great. The levels vary from easy to difficult, so the game keeps challenging you (in a good way) and never gets boring.

If you are looking for an uplifting game to play with your folks, couch monsters is for you!

I had a lot of fun playing the game together with my girlfriend!

There are really great puzzles in this game, any Portal player will probably love it and be familiar with the mechanic even though it is definitely a different take on it! ;)

I also love that there are so many interaction possibilities between the two players (being able to swap to try the other half of the choreography, as well as the little idle animations, as well as the “showing tool”).

I really recommend this game if you have someone you like to solve puzzle with. :)

Was a fun casual game even with friends.

However, there’s no twist when someone is just good than the others. He will always win.

Hope to see something new regarding that in the future.

LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga

LEGO® Star Wars™ - The Complete Saga

This game is a masterpiece. The UI is simple, but genius. The characters are funny, relatable, and memorable. The gameplay seems simple but has extreme strategy and depth. The maps are awesome and immerse you into the world of LEGO Star Wars. The fact that there are so many collectibles like red bricks, minikits, and gold bricks adds the sense of wanting to collect all of it. The gold bricks seem useless but are worth the hours it takes to collect them all. The graphics are a tiny out dated, but beautiful, perfectly capturing the style of LEGO Star Wars. 10/10 Best game I’ve ever played.

This game was my childhood, i used to go home everday after school to play some with my brother. I have very fond and happy memories with it and i have now when im older bought it here to get some nostaliga. Let me tell you its still the same, its hilarious and still worth the money its costs. If you have a friend or family member to play it with, DO IT! The cutscenes may be a bit wierd an not really as good as the new ones but it has its nice charm too it. I recomenned 100%.

Shakes on a Plane

Shakes on a Plane

It is very challenging to play by yourself. I enjoyed having to prioritize all of the aspects of the plane. Buy this game if you’re up for the challenge, otherwise, you will need some friends to play with you.

[Steam only allows a Yes or No, but this is really deserves a Mixed rating, as many of the issues are fixable.]

As a huge fan of Overcooked and Moving Out, I found myself compelled enough to play through all 27 levels, despite some frustratingly imbalanced portions (at least in single-player) that require a precision that the controls do not easily afford. The portions of the game that leaned fully into plane management–sorting through baggage, cleaning up vomit, forcibly seating bratty passengers, bracing for turbulence–were novel. Some of the intentionally inconvenient level designs were clever to boot, particularly the one with both a conveyor belt and several color-coded teleport pads. That said, the overall package is a mixed bag, one that’s ultimately held back by taking place entirely within airplanes (and a handful of UFOs).

Can’t Drive This

Can’t Drive This

You have a friendship that needs to put on a test?

This is your tool, and you’ll even end up having a ton of fun!

“Can’t Drive This” is a party-game to give you and your friends a lot of reasons to yell at each other and a reason for that making-it-all-up-again-cold-beverage afterwards.

The objective is simple: One builds a neat driving track, while the other has to drive it (yes, WHILE it is being built) and the driver must (in all Speed-ish style) not drop below a certain speed.

But that’d be way too simple, there is un-simplifying obstacles like windmills you can crash into, trapdoors you can fall down in, pinball bumpers that almost literally bump’n’kick you out of the screen, and many, many more the driver will hate the builder for placing right in front of them.

Let’s be honest, you look at this game and what do you think? Probably something like: hey, that looks cute, probably fun for a couple of hours but not really something I’d buy.

This game is by no means perfect, but it is AWESOME. When I think of things to compare it to, I think games like Super Smash Bros. or the classic Pole Position. It’s just the most hype inducing, focus requiring, shout inspiring, frustrating game ever. It looks easy enough, “oh, I’ll just drive slow.” Nope. “I’ll just go straight.” You’re funny. “How bout I just throw away this piece.” Good luck with that.

ClockWork

ClockWork

We respect your time. Therefore, instead of bombarding you with long, overly detailed descriptions, we will point out the main features of ClockWork. Enjoy your reading!

  • Before starting work in the workshop, you choose the character of Anna or Edward. What’s next? Disassembling watches, choosing matching components, running between workbenches and avoiding obstacles!

  • ClockWork is a dynamic game where you have to fix all your watches before the time runs out. However, please stay calm - this is still a casual game!

  • The game consists of 12 levels that gradually introduce new mechanics, watches or types of obstacles.

  • Although our heroes spend most of their time in their hometown, during the game they will visit several different locations. After all, running a workshop is not only about fixing complex mechanisms. It’s also meeting a lot of interesting people… and talking animals.

  • Additionally, you will be able to complete optional quests. You will meet exceptional customers who have very interesting stories to tell.

  • In addition - cartoon graphics, pleasant music and a large number of references to pop culture. What more could you want?

And that was it. See you at the workshop!

Death Squared

Death Squared

I freaking love this game. Writing a review partially because this game deserves an “overwhelmingly positive” and I’d like to help take it there. I’ve played with 4-5 people in the party mode for a dozen or so levels, and done half the main levels so far playin' with my dad. In terms of a puzzle game, yes, does the job, makes you think, then makes you think in a completely different way, very satisfying.

I think what most makes this game stand out for me is the fun in the actual death and failure, especially playing with someone else. Sometimes you get some deaths in just for fun and to see the animation and dialogue…and to annoy your partner, of course….

Real player with 18.6 hrs in game

A simple idea well executed, a funny co-op puzzle experience.

Co-op puzzle

In Death Squared you must cooperatively solve puzzles. Each player has a cube-character that can only move, there is no other function. Each player has to move to their respective endpoint to solve the puzzle. Along the way you have to stand on switches to change the level, dodge lasers tied to one character, stand on each other’s head to serve as bridge, not die, and most importantly not kill the other! This is a typical game to just start playing! Play only co-op though. You can control two characters with a keyboard, so a perfect snuggle game! Although… it will most probably start a fight…
