Super Retro Fighter
This review is not final as the game is still in Early Access (v 0.9.7 beta at the time of the review). It may change to a positive review, depending on future changes, rebalancing and additions and I do believe that it has the potential to become a very fun game.
Super Retro Fighter is an individual stages vertizontal shmup that is intentionally designed to be frustrating. So far, it only has one mode. While it’s called Arcade Mode, it lets you select an individual stage to take on. You unlock one after another and gain upgrade points based on your performance that you can spend on extra ships, bombs and shot power. These will certainly aid you but the trial and error remains.

Really fun game. It has an 80’s retro vibe to the music which is pretty awesome.
There is 3 ships to choose from and each one is unique for different guns to accomodate different playstyles.
Some stages that can get pretty frustrating but at least you can stage select to retry same stage as often as you want.
Also, there is a system to make your ship stronger , buy more lives, etc.
Controls: It feels responsive using a gamepad.
I use a Dual Shock 4 wired with USB cable and game recognizes at a PS4 controller.

Solar Purge
Been playing this game since before EA launch! i’ve sat down talked with the devs. Through conversation and feedback with not only myself, but also through the community on their discord. They have really taken strides to improve their game. Keep in mind this game is early access in the way its intended! It had a great baseline for a twin stick shooter. Has even more potential to become one of the best out there. Now that i given backstory let me tell you about the game. Lets talk about it.
This is a traditional twin stick shooter through and through! gun play feels great on mouse and keyboard. Also supports controller. both methods feel and look great. There is 1 game mode right now called holo chamber. its got 2 maps caldera and jungle.

A really fun game for local couch co-op multiplayer! I personally used Parsec to play the game with my friends online and we all had a good time! The game has come a long way over the last year or two and I hope that everyone can get the same enjoyment out of this game that I have with my friends!

There Will Be Ink
Cool isometric twin-stick shooter with a fun theme/premise and surprisingly deep gameplay (cover mechanics, stamina, dodge-roll, wind affects bullets, etc.). Current Beta and Alpha campaigns offer a good mix of challenge and fun. I’ve only played solo and two player coop so far but enjoyed both. There are a few levels that I died a lot on but with some unit upgrades and a change of tactics I was(/we were) able to pass them after a few more attempts. Having a T-Rex with an uzi definitely helped on one occasion. Will be checking back to see what other content and customization is added before this title leaves early access!

It’s a lot of fun for the time it lasts, definitely worth the price.

Undercrewed
J+M+J
It’s fun, though the bots are well… still bots, but that’s to be expected, at least they aren’t bad, they just aren’t to terribly great either. (They’ll do stuff like get stuck in a room, or pilot your about-dead-ship into mines that could have very easily been avoided or destroyed… but they’re pretty good in general with the rest of their duties)
I’d really like to see more missions go into this game, but as to the ones that are up they are fun (though, they could do with a bit more variation… especially exploritory-wise, as traveling through space doesn’t seem to terribly interesting, but I’m not sure how you’d add more variety to that, besides maybe having a map where you have to carefully pilot around obstacles, or maybe pilot your way into a hanger/base of some sort).

I’ve had a blast playing this with my friends. I backed the kickstarter so I’m excited this is out. Currently there’s a good amount of released missions for a few hours of gameplay, but since it’s possible to highly customize your ship it’s still very fun replaying those same missions, usually with a different crowd. Since you can play the multiplayer locally and the game is very easy to get in to it works well as a party game.
In early access there are still a few bugs, but for the most part the game is bug free.

Amberial Dreams
In the long gone days of 2007, Amberial landed on the indie Flash gaming scene, and over the course of 4 games accumulated over 2 million players! 15 years later, Amberial Dreams brings the series back with a bang, boasting a brand-new engine, more contraptions than ever before, but the same basic premise: only two buttons to move, no jumping allowed.
The Avatar can only roll left and right, but that does not mean it can’t make impressive feats of traversal! Every surface in the world reacts to you and helps you gain momentum. You can get anywhere you want, as long as you don’t stop rolling.
Amberial Dreams features beautiful and diverse environments where its platforming action unfolds. From bright bubblegum skies to the deepest pits in which you are the only light source, all the way to biomes in which all color has been extinguished.

Death Trash
I made a poor narrative choice when I killed every character that looked important, and looking back it was definitely a wrong decision to experience the game, but it’s still nice to have that freedom. Overall the game is a competent tribute to the Fallout series, although I do think that further into the story the game falls apart in terms of difficulty scaling and itemization. There are so many moving parts with a game like this, even the UI would have to be pretty complicated to put everything together, so despite having some polish issues, I still think the dev did a decent job. Notably, the game feels like it was designed with a controller in mind, the way you change the items often involves cycling, which is only ideal if you have limited buttons, and I wish it was more straightforward for the keyboard. Interestingly, the combat also features stamina-based moves, even though I would not qualify it as a souls-like, it still has some similarities when it comes to the melee gameplay. Now I wouldn’t say the game has a great pixel-timing with the enemy attacks, the way you block needs to be more rewarding, I would often get hit right after blocking or dodging - it really depends on the enemy.

One of the first things you encounter in Death Trash is a giant Fleshkraken. A disturbingly pinkish, pulsating, fleshy mass of tentacles, seemingly embedded and sticking out of a wall. Next to him is his human guardian that tells you his ward has been a bit silent lately. Turns out, the Fleshkraken can speak to you, in simple words, but enough to tell you that he wants something. This pops up your first side quest. It’s immediately obvious that from here on out, things can only get more weird, bizzare and definitely more twisted.
