Dimension Drive
For about 20 years I’ve been waiting for that one game that could satisfy my latent Axelay needs. Konami promised us a 2nd part but we were left wanting. Many shoot em ups passed revue these latest year and they were delicious iterations on the R type or ikaruga games. The unique gameplay of axelay remained unique, there wasn’t a single shoot em up game that bought an extra dimension or dynamic or gameplay element to the game like there was in Axelay, and so it remained ….. until Dimension Drive.

Dimension Drive is definitely a unique shmup, even in it’s early Access stage, coming across as a mix between your classic shmups and puzzle games like Portal. The dual-screen mechanic it uses a very simple in concept that, given proper exploration, has a ton of depth, something that the devs are clearly capitalizing on. It shows even in their current levels, gradually adding to each, either through obstacles, enemies, or even an additional mechanic. In fact, much of world 1 feels otherwise fairly polished, with some work still needing to be added to world 2.

LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame
Literally a masterpiece. Played the hell out of it on playstation 2. i love going through the story as batman and robin for it to switch at the midway point and do everything again but from the villains POV. Love it. the game will always have a special place.
BUT the PC port is laughable, heaps of gamebreaking bugs and you have to play with VSync on as it effects jumping.
The soundtrack is godtier and it never fails to give me goosebumps.

Streets Ablaze
Streets Ablaze is a fun, face paced Beat Em Up that ticks a lot of the boxes I’m looking for in a game. Good character roster, hidden moves, collectibles are all present! The game is still in Alpha now and I can’t wait for the full release!

I thought that this game was very enjoyable and the minor bugs made me have a great laugh. I thought that the opening comic panel intro was designed very well and that the main menu and character selection felt very fluid. When in the game I was surprised due to the fact surrounding environment and assets looked extremely good. I enjoyed the simplicity of the game as it reminded me of playing the arcade version of TMNT. However the game is pretty hard as combat can be a tad bit buggy at times and the camera view being blocked from super close up assets. I though that the inclusion threats such as getting hit by a car was neat and definitely took me by surprise when i first got hit. Other than the minor combat bugs I though the game was very enjoyable overall and liked how I could pick up weapons from enemies to use for a short period of time. My last thoughts on the game is that I enjoyed cut scenes but did think that boss fights should be a little bit harder.

Dad’s Coming
After a whole afternoon at home with your sibling, the kitchen’s a mess, your room’s in disarray, you haven’t hung the laundry: a normal day. SUDDENLY… you see on that phone notification that your dad will be coming home early - you hear the garage screeching and opening and… RUN!! DAD’S COMING!!
Meet Bob, the goofy brother who’s scared and clumsy because he can’t contain the anxiety of thinking about the horrible consequences of his actions - not playing video games for the rest of the night. It’s chilling!
Kate, on the other hand, was born for this. It’s been years of intensive training of putting everything away and pretending she’s asleep while her mother’s on the way from the hallway to her bedroom, never once being discovered! And this time’s not going to be different.
To be able to clean up this mess and pretend that nothing happened you will need to:
-
Cooperate by throwing items between rooms until you place them in their respective places
-
Be careful not to break windows or fragile items like grandma’s urn - your mom won’t be too happy if your grandma breaks twice!
-
Keep an eye on Jack, the siblings’ cat! He is always messing around and knocking things over.
-
Use the means in each house to be even quicker, such as service elevators!
-
Watch out for blackouts when it’s raining! Sometimes you will have to reactivate the circuit breaker!
-
And much more!

Bought this game tonight and immediately played though it. My friend and I are huge fans of the “We were here” games and have struggled to find similar ones after playing though the first two. We tried “Tic Tok” and a few coop platformer but nothing could really match up to “We were here”. Until now at least.
“Mark & Lara” is an amazing coop game. You don’t need the internet, just the game and you are set for about 2,5 hours of fun. That’s about how much time it took us to play though it once and we will again soon in order to experience the story out of both character’s perspectives. So for 4 bucks you have ~5 hours of playtime, which is solid imo. The story itself is amazing and really pulled us in. It really feels like investigating and we really enjoyed it. The game consists of talking to one of the two suspects, “official” documents and documentations of conversations. You have to really concentrate and look for the details and compare what the two suspects say in order to find the solution. Teamwork is necessary. The story was surprising in quite a few points and it was refreshing to not have a standart “why I killed him” plot but something more complex. We developed a good amount of theories of what could have happened and none of them turned out to be the correct one in the end.

Diner Bros Inc
Great couch-coop game with a lot of variety in the fast paced mini games.
Remote Play Together also works great. Keep in mind that only one player can use a keyboard though.
A great extra feature would be a party mode, where the high scores are shared with the normal save game, but you start with the first small set of mini games. In that way, new players can get acquainted to them and gradually unlock and enjoy more mini games.

Amazing party / couch co-op game. Pretty fun to race after highscores when playing solo, and certainly good laughs when playing in groups. It is also a pretty good game to introduce to the younger kids who are just starting to get into videogames, as the minigames are quite intuitive by themselves.
However, this game is not for everyone. If you’re looking for complex stories or gameplay mechanics, then I’m afraid this is not for you. If you are, however, looking for simple and fun gameplay, give it a try, you will probably love it.
