No Straight Roads: Encore Edition

No Straight Roads: Encore Edition

Can someone get me another Sayu? This one’s all melted!

All my hours are logged on the switch version (~150 hours), I love this game despite how gut punching it can be with difficulty and bugs (of which are mostly patched in this version). It makes up for all of it with its overflowing charm and dedication to fan service. My artwork is in the game too I guess! Underneath the bridge in Akasuka.

If you are searching for a game that has a lot of fun, this game is for you. The mechanics work very well and the environment is pretty cool. The music in the background is good, that the game is wonderful to relax. I Super Recommend that!

Pretty great little dynamic version of an arcade paddle blaster. Has a number of cool powerups, even a shooter and there are boss stages which I wasn’t expecting. The neon 1980s look and sound is cool but the soundtrack could be a little bit more variant as you progress through the levels. It is just single player right now but I would love a 2 player or co-op with this one.

Figment 2: Creed Valley - Prologue

i wish i could give this a positive review, i truly do, but i simply cannot because of the black hog fight (the i think last one, the on that stage), it is so buggy, unfair, and simply frustrating. even without all those bugs it would be extremely frustrating, but i do look forward to the full game where i’m sure this will be fixed.

Edit: i managed to do it eventually, and it seems they fixed it so i changed my review, also btw theres a bug before, during, and after the fight with the dialogue where that bird (forgot her name) keeps repeating her “watch out dusty!” line, even after the fight and before even going on the stage.

The timer is stressful and loud, The music on the color fluid socket in the challenge is broken, and It seems like the first game in almost every way except Dusty isn’t a jerk who relies on photography to compensate for his lack of self-fulfillment, we have no lead to what’s happening outside the mind as a result of the Jester, and the music is just a little better.

50/10 a look into the sequel we never knew we wanted

For new players the skill progress can be a little slow. But, if look from another angle, is good for new plataform players. Some people who never played a game like this will love the difficulty progression. The level design is very good, some times your mind start to find patterns and is very fun when it’s happen.

The controls

For me is good, responsive and have that nice slideness effect.

I miss at least one more form of keyboard control set.

But the basic, but well made is a good choice anyway

Marble Trap

Marble Trap

Marble trap is fine, it plays fine, it looks fine, and the music is fine. The game is short and can be beaten in more or less an hour. The game does include steam achievements but they are all for beating a level, and by the end you will have all of the achievements unlocked. It would have been nice to have some more achievements based on for example how fast you beat a level, or how little you die in the later levels, etc. Marble Trap does However has a leaderboard so if you are into that stuff, this game might just be for you.

Wow. I’m actually impressed with this game. You only use the arrow keys to play, but it doesn’t detract from how involved you feel while playing. I especially loved how very user friendly the controls were - very precise and on the money when it comes to where you want the ball to go. It’s also pretty fun to be careening around corners and speeding past obstacles at just the right time, slowing down only when strategically needed.

My only nitpick is the level-select menu, which was needlessly complicated by the poor placing of the ‘next page’ button - resulting at times in my selecting everything except for the ‘next page’ button. However, I liked the game despite this flaw. Largely, a very lively and well-made game. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I even bought a second copy for a friend! :D
