Why in this day and age when Apple explicitly told you no more 32bit on macOS do you still make this 32bit? It doesn’t run on macOS. This is just lazy. Update your engine! Aren’t you guys in this business to sell games and make money? You won’t do it with these half-hearted attempts especially limiting what platforms your titles run on. Bastard Bonds
Don’t get me wrong: I know what it looks like on the surface: an adult dating sim with rpg mechanics. But trust me, it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!! Unbelievable depth in characters, worldbuilding, lore, and story, with complicated interactions and moral implications, this game stunned me with it’s intricate depth and detail, all against a backdrop of incredibly gorgeous pixel art and digital portraits!
-So, out of the way upfront: Yes, this is an adult rpg with some lgbt themes, made by a well-known lgbt adult artist. That said, it is largely not a factor in gameplay, most scenes are minimum T-rated, and the sexual content is not very explicit at all. I was actually surprised with how little sexual content was in game to proportion to how much gameplay and mechanics there was involved, and honestly the sexual content is so light and non-intrusive that it was almost never a distraction from the story or gameplay. Yes there is some light pixel nudity in some of the character models and monster skins, but much of it is de-emphasized in favor of focusing on plot and gameplay, feeling more like fan-service addons. I loved how, despite having such great art, the game creator was dedicated to creating a solid game experience over inclusion of overly-gratuitous sexual content.

TL,DR: Tactical RPG that doesn’t do much hand-holding (the tutorial really could be improved), has R-rated graphics even though they’re not the focus, but can really draw you in, reward you for tinkering with the skills, and even grab your heartstrings if you read into the lore, character and world interactions you can find in the levels. Common turn-offs: Pixel art, nudity, turn-based, sexual innuendo, lots of combat, implications and mild descriptions of heinous crimes.
Combat: 8/10. Turn-based, a little predictable at times, and there are some areas you can cheese enemies, but quite solid.

Escape from Pleasure Planet
After My Ex-Boyfriend the Space Tyrant I’d long been looking forward to playing Escape from Pleasure Planet, and was an early backer. This game was worth the wait. I’ll try to avoid spoilers.
The gameplay is consistently challenging and rewarding, has many humorous moments, and touchingly sad moments too. It’s a classic adventure game, similar to many of those produced by Sierra in the late 1980s to early 1990s, with a retro feel to it, while also being very much a game written in Python. The puzzles are both more challenging and more rewarding than many of the classic games, often breaking the fourth wall and requiring the player to think from a different perspective, which also fits well with the gay paradigm expressed.

Played this game off and on since I bought it. I reached a point that requires you save the game, log out, then log back in. I have not been able to continue from this point. I have emailed with the developer many times, and this still is where I am stuck. I actually enjoyed the game to this point. The entire concept of logging off and on again is very annoying, and obviously flawed. I am sad that the game has such a significant glitch that even advancing is not possible.
All in all, the part I played was fun. But, I would not recommend this game until the section with IRIS is patched or fixed, since the game cannot go beyond that point.

Lagoon Lounge : The Poisonous Fountain
A friend of mine bought me a steam gift card to buy and play this game, and I bought it upon release.
I played the entire game from start to finish on the same day and finished it within 4.6 hours.
The playtime consisted of myself and my friends voicing the characters, however we did read quite quickly and also nearing the end didn’t fully take the time to read each characters full statement- so the game could easily stretch at most to just over 5 hours.
You get all the achievements just by completely the 9 chapters of the game.

After playing Knights College, I went and played this game as well. Both of these are great. They both tell great stories. While Knights College tells a better story and has better characters, Lagoon Lounge is still a fantastic, but very short game. It took me about 4 hours to complete at my slow reading pace, whereas Knights College took me 10 hours.
All I can really say about this, is that it’s a fantastic game worth playing.
For those of you who say this game is about a rapist, no it’s not. Although I will say, the way the characters interact in these games (Knights College and especially Lagoon Lounge) are very much like the story writing in porn. This may shock people, but these games, while they are about the story, but also is meant for to be played for its sex scenes (which is fairly pornographic). And once again just saying, looking at it from that stance, it makes sense some scenes resemble writing from a porno because that’s kind of the point?

they couldve tried a lot harder i think. the story is abssolute dogshit and the MCs reason for not leaving the house is so goddamn STUPID! seriously whoever wrote this obvisouly did not give two shits. ive only encountered two routes and one of them ends abrutly leaving you with an extended route with some dumb bisexual. seriously this story is so bad. i hate it so much. yuri cant save this. its also not even true yuri. just a couple of bisexuals getting together. BLAM THIS SHIT!

MINOR SPOILER ALERT
In spite of its somewhat misleading title, Apprehend;Girlfriend, is a sweet story about two female roommates facing the issues of daily life in the busy city of Tokyo. Staged on a background of a difficult past for both girls in question, they slowly realise their love for one another. The characters personalities and struggles are relatable and heart warming, and it is truly beautiful to see two girls able to fall in love in a less than accepting society of LGBTQIAPK+ people.

Kindred Spirits on the Roof
First and foremost; I genuinely enjoyed all aspects of this game. The art is nice and consistent throughout, the music is pleasant and I actually really like some of the songs, the story is nonsense at times but such is the nature of fiction so I think that the story actually culminates very well, and I really like some of the characters and the development of these characters throughout the story. It’s a cute, yuri romance that I honestly feel could make a great anime. It has drama CDs and a spin-off manga, so why not?

Let me just open by saying that Kindred Spirits is Good.
For some context: I read a lot of visual novels, and I regret that. There’s not really any other way to put it. I like the medium in theory, but the vast majority of what you can find is just bad. Pacing in particular is a problem, followed up by tendency to throw in reprehensible content.
Kindred Spirits is novel right off the bat because something actually happens in the first hour. While it’s not immune to pacing problems, Kindred Spirits' plot moves along fairly regularly, aided by the device of the planner breaking the story into discrete chunks. Another thing that stops Kindred Spirits from feeling like it’s stalling out is the fact that it follows a handful of couples, so someone’s story is always advancing meaningfully whatever you’re reading.
