BoxMaker

BoxMaker

It’s a great game that just needs more people and bigger level making community that would make this game truly incredibly. Hopefully they could add more characters for you to play as since it seems they will sticking to one style for the game! This is truly an amazing sandbox/platformer!

Some things that would make this game amazing though I think are unlikely

1. A form of Multiplayer.

2. A race a ghost of player mode.

3. More Backdrops and Block Themes for spice levels up a bit.

4. A list of Music to use for Levels.

absolutely terrible ripoff of mario maker

-no censoring

-terrible made levels made by boxmaker themselves

-so little assets for levels

-thwomps dies after impact of ground making them unable to be used again

-hitboxes are terrible

-you cant remove likes off levels

-some levels are impossible due to hackers

-you can jump off keys wtf

this game is so bad i feel like the creators are playing mario maker 2 instead of this sack of shi-

Down the River

Down the River

This is not a casual game. The controls are difficult, the physics are difficult and everything will try to drive you mad.

You try to steer your kayak down the river towards the goal and you do this as fast as you can! But beware of obstacles and rocks that will destroy you if you bump into them too hard!

  • Use only the paddle to steer your kayak

  • Don’t crash into things

  • Don’t drop your camp gear (sleeping bag)

  • Pick up camp gear after you dropped it

  • Paddling requires stamina

Trackmania United Forever

Trackmania United Forever

This game isn’t a racing game like all others. Trackmania has its own things that make it a special racing game - the physics for time attacking.

You can ride with cars over nice maps build by Nadeo, or the community in 7 different environments. Collect medals by improving your time. Chase your friends to see who’s the better racer. Build your own maps and share your maps with others, for example on tm-exchange.com. There’s a lot of stuff you can do related to cars.

True, you can do all of this in Nations, but United is another big experience of driving with different cars and enjoying their unique environments. Please don’t waste your money on this game because of Coppers support, it’s stupid.

If you give this game only a brief glance, you are going to see a simple arcade racing game where cars look like toys and drive round corners at speeds exceeding 600 km/h. But if you look under the shell and start probing deeper you shall see that TrackMania is in fact many things and it isn’t in fact simple, but rather simplistic.

Do you like hardcore racing where you need to hunt for tenths and hundredths of a second, and even a small concentration lapse can result in a crash when you are on a world record pace? Come on in, there’s plenty of that. Do you like to build maps for others to race at? It’s easy to do that with a built in editor. Maybe you prefer doing various stunts, such as backflips, barrel rolls, driving through loops or just riding the walls in a car? TM is a perfect choice for you. Just in case you like puzzles, there’s a game mode for you where you have to build a fastest way between start, finish and a few checkpoints using a limited amount of blocks. Then again you can just challenge your brain and your very self to try and seek for outrageous shortcuts in others' tracks, as nobody can dictate you the order in which the checkpoints must be driven.

Tricone Lab

Tricone Lab

Tricone Lab is a unique, “pure” puzzle game by a “microscopic indie developer”. Pick it up if you are looking for an original puzzler to challenge your mind in new ways.

The “pure” refers to the focus on the puzzles. There is no story. There is a sort of biochemistry theme, but aside from the visual aesthetic, there’s not any “actual” biochemistry going on here (so don’t worry if that wasn’t your favorite school subject). The visual “biochemistry” presentation is quite nice, unique, and carefully crafted (surely no small feat to program).

Real player with 125.9 hrs in game

A Lateral-Thinking Puzzler for people who like to think outside the box.

Tricone Lab performs a fairly substantial technical challenge in the floating interface. Then, there is the geographical challenge of matching math to shape and space, in puzzles crafted by hand.

Geometric Interface/Graphics

Most puzzle games are on a grid, which is much easier to program. But, Tricone Lab’s cells are floating, amoeba-like structures that gradually change shape while you play. As you pull and drag lines, and the nodes interact with one another, it looks like drawing with a pencil. These long projections can become quite comical when structures called “anticatalysts” start grabbing the nodes you needed to complete the puzzle. Some cells have positive or negative charges, and that may break down larger units you have constructed, all in all causing you to laugh, or cry depending on the difficulty of the map. It certainly brings to mind Dante’s various levels of paradise, purgatory, and hell, all in one game.

Conduct DELUXE!

Conduct DELUXE!

You’ve seen this kind of game before. The frantic adjust-the-train-switches-so-trains-don’t-collide game, BUT… This is a really good one. I don’t know what about it makes it so enjoyable. Maybe it’s how varied nad interesting looking the tracks are.

Bridges, tunnels that make trains reappear somewhere else, as well as many varying enciromenments.

This, along with the ability to select your own trains, as well as having you actually expected to transport passengers from place to place (Which also means, if your train is yellow, and heading towards a yellow station, any yellow passengers form stations it passes along the way will also board it) all work together to make this the best game of it’s kind that I’ve played so far. (Granted I haven’t played many, but I still feel like this is one of the better ones)

Real player with 39.4 hrs in game

The best way I can describe this game is: it’s like juggling three coloured balls where they change colour mid air and in which two more balls and a chainsaw are thrown at you during the course of your act.

The levels themselves are mostly fair and well designed (I’ll come back to that in a minute) and the controls are lenient enough to where when you fail you can only blame yourself.

The music is a nice complement to the gameplay and the art style is nice and simplistic.

Another nice feature is that you can choose which levels to unlock first which has the bonus effect of being able to leave a difficult level for another which makes the game a lot less frustrating when you meet a level that you just can’t quite complete.

RAM BOE

RAM BOE

This game brings back memories. The music is relaxing, the puzzles aren’t that hard and the visuals are really vivid.

I think I’m halfway into the game, can’t wait for the harder/longer levels.

And the developers are constantly updating it.

The game is a lot of fun and I found many of the puzzles quite difficult. Definiely has an easy start and a difficulty spike after the second “boss” level.

Shift Quantum - A Cyber Noir Puzzle Platformer

Shift Quantum - A Cyber Noir Puzzle Platformer

Shift Quantum is one of the greatest puzzle-platformers I have ever played

The game tells a story but we’re not here to talk about how this story is so good it leaves you with more questions than when you started. We’re here for gameplay.

Mind-bending puzzles are calling out your name

You are introduced to Shift Quantum by taking a quick test after which you are introduced to the world of the game and main mechanic called “Shift”. You might think that levels are easy, but the difficulty escalates quickly, but nicely. More time you spend with game the more puzzles you are introduced to and new ways to complete the levels. With time you meet new “toys” to help you in game.

Real player with 25.2 hrs in game

This is one of those games where you’ll probably know whether you’re gonna like it or not just by watching the trailer. Chances are you’re only checking the reviews to see if people had any issues with bugs or dodgy controls, or how easy/difficult the puzzles are. Well, seeing as you’re here, I’ll assure you that it plays like a charm. A perfect marriage of slick platforming and clever puzzles. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the 15 or so hours it took me to achieve 100%.
